FIRST RECORD OF BATHYTHRIX FORMOSA (DESVIGNES) (ICHNEUMONIDAE: CRYPTINAE) IN SERBIA
Bathythrix formosa (Desvignes, 1860) is a new finding of the ichneumonid wasp for the Serbian fauna. It was recorded on the locality Bojanine vode, Suva mt. Serbia from the host species Agroeca sp (Aranea: Liocranidae)

The effects of thermistor linearization techniques on the T-history characterization of phase change materials
Phase Change Materials (PCMs) are increasingly being used in the area of energy sustainability. Thermal characterization is a prerequisite for any reliable utilization of these materials. Current characterization methods including the well-known T-history method depend on accurate temperature measurements. This paper investigates the impact of different thermistor linearization techniques on the temperature uncertainty in the T-history characterization of PCMs. Thermistor sensors and two linearization techniques were evaluated in terms of achievable temperature accuracy through consideration of both, non-linearity and self-heating errors. T-history measurements of RT21 (RUBITHERM ® GmbH) PCM were performed. Temperature measurement results on the RT21 sample suggest that the Serial-Parallel Resistor (SPR) 1 linearization technique gives better uncertainty (less than ±0.1°C) in comparison with the Wheatstone Bridge (WB) 1 technique (up to ±1.5°C). These results may considerably influence the usability of latent heat storage density of PCMs in the certain temperature range. They could also provide a solid base for the development of a T-history measuring device. © 2012 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved
Identification and molecular characterization of Chryseobacterium vrystaatense ST1 isolated from oligomineral water of southeast Serbia
The isolation and molecular characterization of bacterial strains isolated from water sources in the Vlasina Mountain in southeast Serbia, confirmed the presence of a new species Chryseobacterium vrystaatense ST1. This Gram- negative species showed an extremely low level of biochemical reactivity in biochemical tests. The gene for 16S rRNA was amplified by PCR using universal primers and sequenced. Comparison of 16S rRNA gene sequence and phenotypic features indicated that the isolate ST belonged to Chryseobacterium vrystaatense. A BLAST search of sequenced 1088 nucleotides of the 16S rRNA gene with all sequences deposited in the NCBI collection showed the highest similarity (98%) with the strain Chryseobacterium vrystaatense sp. nov., designated as strain R-23533. The very high homology of these two strains allowed classification of our strain at the species level, but some differences indicate, and indirectly confirm, that the isolate ST is an authentic representative. On the basis of these results, we could conclude that Chryseobacterium vrystaatense ST was for first time isolated in Serbia, which is particularly important when one bears in mind that there are only three sequences of this species deposited in the NCBI collection
SOME NEW IDENTITIES FOR THE SECOND COVARIANT DERIVATIVE OF THE CURVATURE TENSOR
In this paper we study the second covariant derivative of Riemannian curvature tensor. Some new identities for the second covariant derivative are given. Namely, identities obtained by cyclic sum with respect to three indices are given. In the first case, two curvature tensor indices and one covariant derivative index participate in the cyclic sum, while in the second case one curvature tensor index and two covariant derivative indices participate in the cyclic sum
The Concept of Time in Don DeLillo’s Point Omega
Temporality is one of the key aspects that contribute to the reshaping of the narrative tendencies of literary modernism, thus leading
to the emergence of new narrative strategies associated with postmodern literature. The aim of this paper is to scrutinize its representation in postmodern literature and theory, focusing on one of the notable works that illustrate this phenomenon. Influenced by Pierre Teilhard de Chardin’s theory of the final aim of evolution, defined as the omega point, Don DeLillo’s novel of the same name explores, in Peter Boxall’s words, the formal balance between cinematic time, urban time, and desert time. In that sense, the paper is particularly concerned with the plurality of time, prevalent in literary postmodernism. In order to provide insight into this matter, it is also essential to shed light on how it is represented in the works of Jorge Luis Borges, who exerted significant influence on DeLillo’s depiction of the concept of time in the contemporary world
Health-related quality of life of general practitioners - family physicians in South-eastern Europe
Introduction An insight into the health-related quality of life (HRQL) provides information on the extent of activities and everyday functioning restriction by deteriorated health. Objective The purpose of the paper was to analyze the HRQL of general practitioners-family physicians of the Southeastern Europe and compare it with HRQL of controls, the subjects of the same educational background, geographical area, sex and age, but different working activities. Method The study "Health-related quality of life of general practitioners-family physicians in the South-eastern Europe" (HERQUL study) was performed in Serbia, Republic of Srpska, Montenegro, Macedonia and Bulgaria during February- September 2004. Study instrument was a standardized generic questionnaire for the measurement of HRQL SF-36, which subject's health status assesses across eight different domains. Results The study included 1141 doctors (337 male and 804 female) and the same number of controls. The deteriorated physical health affected HRQL of controls, but more significantly of physicians. The deteriorated mental health affected HRQL of both physicians and controls regardless of age and sex. The lowest HRQL scores of physicians due to lowered vitality was reported in all studied countries, excluding subjects from Montenegro. Better social functioning HRQL domain was recorded in males regardless of profession. The deteriorated physical and mental health as well as social functioning mostly influenced HRQL of physicians aged 55-59, and in controls this applied to those older than 60, regardless of sex. Emotional health HRQL domain scores were better in the control group than in physicians, regardless of sex. Conclusion Studies of physicians' HRQL, particularly doctors of general practitioners-family physicians, are scarce. The results of the HERQUL study could be the impetus to obtain support for the improvement of HRQL of this important group of health professionals from the relevant government institutions
