Existing classifications of waste dumps in the quarries are given and their phenomenological nature is clarified. The need to identify the essence of the term "dump" is shown as well as the idea of "dump" as an artificial formation with everted and mixed rocks distanced from the quarry. Essential classification of man-made rock formations in quarries is developed. Characteristic of variations of man-made waste formations in quarries is developed. To reduce harmful effects of open-pit mining, dumps should be substituted with strat-lays - man-made structures relevant to natural stratification of litho-substances. Construction of strat-lays would improve ecological and technological culture of open cast mining

THE MANIFESTATIONS OF SEXUAL DIMORPHISM CORRELATION OF SPLEEN SONOGRAPHIC PARAMETERS WITH ANTHROPO-SOMATOMETRIC PARAMETERS BODY OF PRACTICALLY HEALTHY MEN AND WOMEN FROM GENERAL GROUPS AND VARIOUS SOMATOTYPES

In a small number of works installed linear correlation of spleen size with anthropometric indicators of body composition, component of body weight and physique primary components that are in understandable way different in people of certain somatotype sexes. This is part of the general problem of establishing correlations between the characteristics of morphofunctional organization of people with reactivity and resistance to stress factors or learning about "normal reaction" of the body. The aim of the study – to find manifestations of sexual dimorphism correlation of spleen sonographic parameters with anthroposomatometric parameters body of practically healthy men and women from general groups and various somatotypes. Materials and Metohods. On the base of the research center of M. Pyrohov Vinnytsia National Medical University, we conducted an anthropometric survey according to V. V. Bunak method, an evaluation of the somatotype by J. Carter and B. Heath's mathematical scheme, the absolute amount of fat, bone and muscle mass components of the body using the formulas J. Matiegka, as well as the research of sonographic parameters of the spleen (length, thickness, height, area of longitudinal and cross-sectional areas, index of acoustic density of tissue, diameter of spleen vein and volume) of 90 practically healthy men aged from 22 to 35 and 147 women aged from 21 and 35. All surveyed were in the third generation residents of Podilia region of Ukraine. Assessment correlation sonographic parameters of spleen with anthropo-performance somatometric done through licensing package "STAT IST ICA 6.1". Correlations in common groups were performed using Pearson's parametric statistics; and in men and women of different somatotypes - using Spearman nonparametric statistics. Results and Discussion. As a result of the study, in addition to quantitative differences, the qualitative differences of the correlations of the sonographic parameters of the spleen with the anthropo-somatometric parameters of the body were established in men and women of general groups and, to a large extent, representatives of different somatotypes. Representatives of different types of constitution have specific features, both in the level and in the kinetics of age-related changes in the parameters of the spleen. Therefore, the differences between representatives of different types within each constitutional-sexual group are more pronounced than the  differences between the general groups of both sexes. Thus, in men mesomorphs, the greatest number of connections is established with total, longitudinal, circumflex body sizes, body diameters, of the components of the body mass, and in women of the mesomorphic somatotype – with the components of the body composition. Males, of endo-mesomorphic somatotype has the largest number of connections established with longitudinal body dimensions, components of the somatotype, and in women with an endomesomorphic somatotype – with body diameters and cephalometric indices. Conclusions. Among practically healthy men and women of the first mature age in general and representatives of the somatotypes we establish quantitative and qualitative differences in correlation sonographic parameters of spleen with anthropo-somatometric parameters of the body. The resulting differences clearly demonstrate the existence of a single complex correlation and structural symptom complex of phenotypic manifestations of public and private constitution that influenced by sex factor

Financial engineering of infrastructure projects : the concessional mechanism

Purpose: The article considers the model of financial engineering, in which financial resources for an infrastructure project are formed based on syndicated loans. Design/Methodology/Approach: The study is based on modern concepts of uncertainty and risk management theories and the concept of digital economy. It includes a system and diagnostic analysis, methods of financial analytics as well as quantitative and qualitative risk assessment methods. Findings: Authors analyzed the investment in the infrastructure projects development in the Russian Federation. The railways' export potential is analyzed and determined to depend on coal and container terminals. Authors highlighted the need for business consolidation and new infrastructure projects based on technologies of digitalization in the transport industry, reviewed the strategic importance of concession agreement for the construction of “Northern Latitudinal Railway”. Practical Implications: The research findings revealed that implementation of large infrastructure projects is capable to render breakthrough effect on GDP and economic growth rates of the Russian Federation. The adjusted experience could be introduced in the transport framework of the Russian Federation and abroad. Originality/Value: The main contribution of this study is in the highlighting features of concessional mechanism in the framework of large infrastructure projects.peer-reviewe

To solve the priority task of the Russian Federation to ensure the effective socio-economic and sustainable development of the regions, it is necessary to carry out an adequate structural policy, the main purpose of which is to form a rational and balanced structure of the economy that can ensure the effective development of the region’s economy. In this regard, the relevance of modeling regional development using a structural approach is beyond doubt. The purpose of the research is to substantiate the need for a close study of the specifics of the regional structure and the features of its modeling, taking into account General and specific principles, tools and practical experience of their application. Scientific novelty is the study of not only the basic laws, features, principles, tools for modeling the structure of the region, but also the experience of their application in determining the proportions and trends in the development of the region in order to conduct an adequate structural policy. The study used theoretical and empirical methods, in particular: literature review, logical and system analysis, methods of empirical data collection, description, modeling, forecasting and processing of research results. As a result of the study, the authors obtained the following results: a comparative analysis of approaches to the definition of the concept of “region”, “structure of the region”; justified that the structure gives the necessary integrity and defines the main characteristics of the region, allowing to consider it as a complete socio-economic system; classification of types of regional structures; justified that the main quality property of the territory is polystructural. As a conclusion, the authors note that in this regard, there can be no single approach to the description of the structure for modeling regional development. Approbation of the author’s approaches to the structuring of the regional economy is made on the materials of the Kursk region. It showed the adequacy of the developed theoretical provisions and allowed to determine the directions of their further development for the improvement of regional structural policy

Biometric Performance as a Function of Gallery Size

Many developers of biometric systems start with modest samples before general deployment. They are interested in how their systems will work with much larger samples. We evaluated the effect of gallery size on biometric performance. Identification rates describe the performance of biometric identification, whereas ROC-based measures describe the performance of biometric authentication (verification). Therefore, we examined how increases in gallery size affected identification rates (i.e., Rank-1 Identification Rate, or Rank-1 IR) and ROC-based measures such as equal error rate (EER). We studied these phenomena with synthetic data as well as real data from a face recognition study. It is well known that the Rank-1 IR declines with increasing gallery size. We have provided further insight into this decline. We have shown that this relationship is linear in log(Gallery Size). We have also shown that this decline can be counteracted with the inclusion of additional information (features) for larger gallery sizes. We have also described the curves which can be used to predict how much additional information is required to stabilize the Rank-1 IR as a function of gallery size. These equations are also linear in log(gallery size). We have also shown that the entire ROC curve is not systematically affected by gallery size, and so ROC-based scalar performance metrics such as EER are also stable across gallery size.Comment: 19 pages, 9 Figures, 0 Table
