8He Spectroscopy in Stopped Pion Absorption By 9Be
Level structure of 8He has been studied in the reaction of stopped pion absorption by 9Be nuclei. The missing mass spectrum in the range 0 MeV β€ MM β€ 10 MeV has been described by the superposition of phase-space distributions and the three states of 8He. Parameters of these states have been compared with data of other experimental and theoretical works
From AKNS to derivative NLS hierarchies via deformations of associative products
Using deformations of associative products, derivative nonlinear Schrodinger
(DNLS) hierarchies are recovered as AKNS-type hierarchies. Since the latter can
also be formulated as Gelfand-Dickey-type Lax hierarchies, a recently developed
method to obtain 'functional representations' can be applied. We actually
consider hierarchies with dependent variables in any (possibly noncommutative)
associative algebra, e.g., an algebra of matrices of functions. This also

Often, neoadjuvant treatment in patients with locally advanced breast cancer leads to complete clinical and pathomorphological regression of not only the primary tumor, but metastatic lymph nodes also. Currently, discussions are ongoing regarding the optimal volume of surgical intervention on regional lymph nodes in this category of patients. As a de-escalation of classical lymphadenectomy, a method of targeted axillary dissection (TAD) is used, which presumes a biopsy of sentinel lymph nodes (SLN) with the removal of a previously marked metastatic lymph node. Our study is aimed at choosing the most optimal method for labeling a metastatic lymph node. The study included 63 patients diagnosed with stage T1β3N1M0 breast cancer, all divided into two comparison groups: 29 patients had a radiopaque label placed in the metastatic lymph node before neoadjuvant therapy, and 33 patients had a radioisotope label (with I125).After the neoadjuvant treatment completion, all patients with complete clinical response in the lymph nodes underwent targeted axillary lymphadenectomy. We evaluated the time of the surgical intervention, the length of the skin incision, the presence of complications when using one or another type of marking. Based on the results of statistical analysis, we propose a variant with a radioisotope label for implementation into the clinical practice. Growth and characterization of urea-doped KDP crystals
Potassium dihydrophosphate single crystals were grown from aqueous solutions onto a point seed using temperature reduction method by doping with different molar values of Urea. The characterization of the grown crystals was made by visible and fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, Vicker's hardness studies, X-ray powder diffraction, nonlinear optical and laser damage threshold measurements. By comparing these crystals with the ones grown from the pure solution, it is shown that 0.2/2.0 M of the Urea additive enhances the laser damage threshold and the second harmonic efficiency more than by 25 and 20 %, respectively. The Vicker's hardness studies carried out on (100) and (001) crystallographic planes show an increased hardness of the doped crystals (grown in the presence of Urea additive) on the plane (001) in comparison with that of pure potassium dihydrophosphate crystal
