    Investigation on the Influence of Basalt Fiber on Thermal properties of Al7075/ Basalt Fiber Metal Matrix Composites.

    This paper reports a study of the Coefficient of Thermal Expansion (CTE) of Al7075/basalt short fiber Metal Matrix Composites (MMCs) as a function of temperature and reinforcement. The percentage of reinforcement was varied from 2.5 to 10 wt. % in steps of 2.5% and the composites were prepared by the liquid metallurgy technique. Using Thermal Mechanical Analyzer (TMA) model DuPont 943 equipment, the changes in the linear dimension as a function of temperature is recorded as Percent Linear Change (PLC). The temperature of the tests ranged from 50 °C to 300 °C in the steps of 5 °C both in the heating and cooling cycles. The results show that the CTE significantly increased with increasing temperature but decreased with increasing basalt fiber. These phenomena are explained

    The research was conducted in the city of Pekanbaru to consumer products of drugs manufactures. This study aims to determine the factors that influence the level competition for drugs industries products in Pekanbaru. The population numbered 937,939 people and a sample of 100 people was determined by the method Slovin. The data used in the Secondary and Primary Data obtained from PT. BERNOFARM-PKU,PT. KIMIA FARMA-PKU, the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) Riau and questionnaires. The analysis method used is descriptive analysis using ordinal scale (Likert Scale) to classify the measured variables in order to avoid errors in determining the outcome of the data. The results showed that the partial variable consumer tastes which consists of the brand, quality, future expectation, packaging and labels, the price of the item itself and the price of other goods greatly affect the city of Pekanbaru in selecting medicine products they use. While consumer income variable does not affect the demand of drugs for people In the city of Pekanbaru. Based on these results it is suggested to the company to keep value of brand equity, quality, reasonable prices and promotions are always held. Besides, it is also expected the company to expand sales outlets drugs product so consumers have no difficulty in finding the products they are looking for.     Corrosion Behaviour of Short Basalt Fiber Reinforced with Al7075 Metal Matrix Composites in Sodium Chloride Alkaline Medium

    The aim of the research work was to investigate the corrosion behaviour of basalt short fiber reinforced aluminum metal matrix composites (MMCs) in alkaline solution using weight loss method. The Al/basalt MMCs contains basalt short fiber from 2.5 to 10 % in steps of 2.5 wt. % and fabricated using liquid metallurgy technique. The corrosion characteristics of Al/basalt short fiber composite and the unreinforced alloy were experimentally assessed. The corrosion test was carried out at different temperatures in mixture of sodium-chloride alkaline solution at a concentration of 1N, 2N & 3N for different exposure time were subjected to corrosive media to evaluate their corrosion resistance. The results indicated that corrosion rate of metal matrix composites was lower than that of matrix material Al 7075 under the corrosive atmosphere for both unheat treated and heat treated conditions. Al/basalt short fiber composite become more corrosion prone as the basalt short fiber content is increased, and the corrosion rate in sodium chloride alkaline decreases with time, probably because of the formation of stable oxide layer over the specimens.     Seng sangat penting di dalam sistem kekebalan tubuh. Akan tetapi,kandungannya di dalam bahan pakan di Indonesia secara umum rendah. Ternakbanyak mengeluarkan seng melalui urine bila mengalami cekaman transportasi,oleh karena itu kebutuhan seng mungkin meningkat. Penelitian ini bertujuanuntuk melihat mineral plasma dan respons antibodi setelah mengalami cekamantransportasi. Enam belas domba ekor tipis jantan dialokasikan ke dalamRancangan Acak Lengkap dengan menggunakan ransum basal yang memilikikandungan Zn sebesar 22.8 ppm. Perlakuan terdiri atas; ransum basal (R1), R1 +36 ppm Zn (R2), R1 + minyak ikan 1.5% (R3) dan R1 + 36 ppm Zn + minyak ikan1.5% 1.5% (R4). Ternak domba diberi makan dua kali pada jam 08.00 dan 16.00.Masing masing domba divaksinasi dengan Clostridium perfringens pada 41 dan 3hari sebelum transportasi. Ketika ternak mengalami cekaman transportasidiperoleh kondisi fisiologis sebagai berikut : (1) Seng plasma menurun untuksemua perlakuan (2) Kalium dan Mg plasma menurun dan kembali normal padajam ke-88 setelah transportasi (3) Natrium plasma meningkat pada perlakuan Zn+ minyak ikan pada jam ke-40 (4) Suplementasi Zn meningkatkan responsantibodi. Hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa suplementasi Znmeningkatkan kekebalan tubuh dan kadar seng mungkin perlu ditingkatkan lagidalam ransum setelah ternak mengalami cekaman transportasi

    A comparison of two magnetic ultra-cold neutron trapping concepts using a Halbach-octupole array

    This paper describes a new magnetic trap for ultra-cold neutrons (UCNs) made from a 1.2 m long Halbach-octupole array of permanent magnets with an inner bore radius of 47 mm combined with an assembly of superconducting end coils and bias field solenoid. The use of the trap in a vertical, magneto-gravitational and a horizontal setup are compared in terms of the effective volume and ability to control key systematic effects that need to be addressed in high precision neutron lifetime measurements

    Measuring the proton spectrum in neutron decay - latest results with aSPECT

    The retardation spectrometer aSPECT was built to measure the shape of the proton spectrum in free neutron decay with high precision. This allows us to determine the antineutrino electron angular correlation coefficient a. We aim for a precision more than one order of magnitude better than the present best value, which is Delta_a /a = 5%. In a recent beam time performed at the Institut Laue-Langevin during April / May 2008 we reached a statistical accuracy of about 2% per 24 hours measurement time. Several systematic effects were investigated experimentally.     This research was conducted on sample area where Atung plant grow, focused on the Land “Petuanan” of ​​Haruku village in Haruku small Island-Central Maluku Regency, from December 2016 till May 2017. The aims of this research were: 1) to assess the physical characteristics of land affecting the growth and production of Atung plant at the study area; 2) to elaborate the physical essential information and necessary data on the basis of literature and field review in constructing the land suitability table for the Atung Plant (as a preliminary approach); 3) to implement or test the appropriate land suitability table for the land suitability evaluation of Atung based on available biophysical land characteristic data. The method used in this study was a library study and field survey using the distance of flexible transect observation in accordance with the conditions where Atung grows. The results of this study consisted of the land characteristics data for Atung plant; i.e. climate, topography, and soil. The study of land characteristics obtained from the literature, field review and knowledge of the local community and construction of the land suitability table for Atung, an appropriate test in the Waai village showed that the land suitability category as the S3 class with the limiting factor was pH value that was easily improved and upgraded to the suitability class of S2/S1

    A homological interpretation of the transverse quiver Grassmannians

    In recent articles, the investigation of atomic bases in cluster algebras associated to affine quivers led the second-named author to introduce a variety called transverse quiver Grassmannian and the first-named and third-named authors to consider the smooth loci of quiver Grassmannians. In this paper, we prove that, for any affine quiver Q, the transverse quiver Grassmannian of an indecomposable representation M is the set of points N in the quiver Grassmannian of M such that Ext^1(N,M/N)=0.
