Spectral Difference Equations Satisfied by KP Soliton Wavefunctions

The Baker-Akhiezer (wave) functions corresponding to soliton solutions of the KP hierarchy are shown to satisfy eigenvalue equations for a commutative ring of translational operators in the spectral parameter. In the rational limit, these translational operators converge to the differential operators in the spectral parameter previously discussed as part of the theory of "bispectrality". Consequently, these translational operators can be seen as demonstrating a form of bispectrality for the non-rational solitons as well.Comment: to appear in "Inverse Problems

Kasman, Dian Sidik Arsyad ,Wahiduddin An unwanted pregnancy is still a problem in Indonesia may lead to abortion and unwanted births. Figures for unsafe abortion in the world is estimated to occur each year around 20 million cases, 26% of that amount over 70,000 classified as legal and safe abortion in developing countries taka ended with the death of my mother. This study aimed to determine the factors associated with attitudes toward abortion in The Village at women of childbearing age Tamalanrea, District Tamalanrea, Makassar, in 2010. Type of research is observational research with cross sectional study. The study population were all already married women of childbearing age numbering 4438 people with total sample of 354 respondents obtained by the formula Lameshow, 1997. Results showed 89.0% of women of childbearing age in Sub Tamalanrea Makassar has a positive attitude toward abortion and 11.0% had negative attitudes toward abortion. There is a relationship between knowledge about abortion (r = 0.000), education level (r = 0.015), maternal age (r = 0.018), number of children (r = 0.005), and parity (r = 0.001) and attitudes toward abortion in women of childbearing age, while those for the job does not have a relationship with attitudes toward abortion in women of child-bearing age. This study suggests that women of childbearing age to increase their knowledge about abortion. To health institutions, should frequently conduct promo-tional efforts on abortion, such as counseling about the dangers of abortion and preven-tion of abortion as a source of information about abortion in terms of formal education. Strived to strengthen family planning service program that aims to delay pregnancy, adjust the length of pregnancy, or prevent a pregnancy if the number of children desired has been reached. Keywords : Abortion Attitudes, Women of Childbearing Ag

Objective: To determine whether the association between male infertility and incident cardiometabolic disease is modified by socioeconomics, race, or geographic region. / Materials and Method: Retrospective review of data from insurance claims from Optum's de-identified Clinformatics Data Mart Database. Subjects were men, 18-50 years old, with an associated diagnosis of infertility in the United States between 2003 and 2016. Analytical sample were men captured by the Optum's de-identified Clinformatics Data Mart Database with an associated diagnosis of infertility. Men were classified as either infertile, or not, based on diagnosis or procedural codes. Cardiometabolic health outcomes were then assessed using current procedural terminology codes for diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, and heart disease. Confounding factors were controlled for such as race, education, socioecomonic status, and region. The main outcomes were development of diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, and heart disease. / Results: A total of 76,343 males were diagnosed with male factor infertility, 60,072 males who underwent fertility testing, and 183,742 males that underwent vasectomy (control population). For all men, infertile men had a higher risk of incident hypertension, diabetes, hyperlipidemia, and heart disease when compared to those undergoing vasectomy. Identical associations were found across all education, income, racial, and geographic strata. / Conclusion: Our study suggests that men with infertility have a higher risk of cardiometabolic disease in the years following a fertility evaluation regardless of race, region, or socioeconomic status

    RELEVANSI PEMIKIRAN IRIGARAY TERHADAP ARSITEKTUR

    Get PDF
Abstract_ Architectural theory was born from several philosophical thoughts which discussed the relationship between humans and space. The thought of the philosophers explained how to understand humans as users of architectural products. These various thoughts were then translated by architectural practitioners and students into more humanistic design concepts. This paper aims to describe the thoughts of one of the philosophers who contributed to the development of architectural theory, Luce Irigaray. Irigaray thinking about feminism will explain how relevant it is to architectural design concepts. This paper is compiled with a literature review method by examining two irrational thoughts, the concept of fluidity and perception through touch. The results of the study of the two concepts of Irigaray's thinking, fluidity and perception through touch, both explain how gender differences in a space determine the formation of an architectural product. If the architect has been able to accommodate differences in needs between genders, then the work has recognized the two genders as subjects that are contained in an architectural product, no longer as objects. Thus creating a more humanistic architectural work. Keywords:  Irigaray; Feminism; Architecture Theory

Background and objective: Hesperetin as the main flavonoid in citrus possesses various pharmacological properties including anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory effects. In this study, the effects of hesperetin on seizures behavior and its function on total antioxidant capacity and lipid peroxidation has been investigated in pentylenetetrazol (PTZ)-induced seizures model. Materials and methods: In this experimental study, thirty-five mice were divided into 5 experimental groups as control, saline and hesperetin at doses of 10, 20 or 50 mg/kg. Animals received orally the related interventions for 7 days. On day 7, 30 minutes after oral gavage, convulsion was induced by single intraperitoneal (i.p.) injection of PTZ at dose of 60 mg/kg. After recording of convulsion behaviors including latency to myoclonic jerks, latency and duration of generalized tonic-clonic seizures, time to death, measuring of Ferric Reducing Antioxidant Power (FRAP) and Thiobarbituric acid reactive substances (TBARS) carried out in hippocampus tissues. Findings: Pretreatment with hesperetin at dose of 50 mg/kg significantly increased the latency of myoclonic jerks (hesperetin 50: P=0.0323) and generalized tonic-clonic seizures (hesperetin 10: P= 0.0003, hesperetin 20: 0.0017, hesperetin 50: P=0.0040). Hesperetin application at dose of 10 mg/kg significantly reduced the levels of TBARS compared to control group. Any significant difference in FRAP levels was not observed between different experimental groups. Conclusion: The results of study indicate that hesperetin might be effective as supplementary treatment in epilepsy disorder

From nonassociativity to solutions of the KP hierarchy

A recently observed relation between 'weakly nonassociative' algebras A (for which the associator (A,A^2,A) vanishes) and the KP hierarchy (with dependent variable in the middle nucleus A' of A) is recalled. For any such algebra there is a nonassociative hierarchy of ODEs, the solutions of which determine solutions of the KP hierarchy. In a special case, and with A' a matrix algebra, this becomes a matrix Riccati hierarchy which is easily solved. The matrix solution then leads to solutions of the scalar KP hierarchy. We discuss some classes of solutions obtained in this way.Comment: 7 pages, 4 figures, International Colloquium 'Integrable Systems and Quantum Symmetries', Prague, 15-17 June 200

Design and methods of Shape Up Under 5: Integration of systems science and community-engaged research to prevent early childhood obesity

    Get PDF
Shape Up Under 5 (SUU5) was a two-year early childhood obesity prevention pilot study in Somerville, Massachusetts (2015–2017) designed to test a novel conceptual framework called Stakeholder-driven Community Diffusion. For whole-of-community interventions, this framework posits that diffusion of stakeholders’ knowledge about and engagement with childhood obesity prevention efforts through their social networks will improve the implementation of health-promoting policy and practice changes intended to reduce obesity risk. SUU5 used systems science methods (agent-based modeling, group model building, social network analysis) to design, facilitate, and evaluate the work of 16 multisector stakeholders (‘the Committee’). In this paper, we describe the design and methods of SUU5 using the conceptual framework: the approach to data collection, and methods and rationale for study inputs, activities and evaluation, which together may further our understanding of the hypothesized processes within Stakeholder-driven Community Diffusion. We also present a generalizable conceptual framework for addressing childhood obesity and similar complex public health issues through whole-of-community interventions
