A Research on Chang Chiens Reform ideas
Chang Chien 1853-1926 was a native of Nant ung Kiangsu In spite of the Various works on Chang Chien which testify to the significance of his role in modern China Chang Chien s Reform ideas is still not well-researched The purposes of this paper are firstly to analyze Chang Chien s Reform ideas systematically and clearly in the hope that it may become a useful reference for researchers on modern Chinese political thought and secondly to stimulate scholars for further research This paper depends more on basic source materials rather than second-hand data Among various source materials Chang Chien s Diary The Nine Records of Chang Chien and The Complete Work of Chang Chien are the most important Chang Chien s Reform ideas may be summarized as follows 1 taking notice of both economic basis and superstructure 2 elitism 3 pragmatism 4 concept of limited change 5 gradualism 6 golden means and 7 government by the peopl
Upper limits on electric dipole moments of tau-lepton, heavy quarks, and W-boson
We discuss upper limits on the electric dipole moments (EDM) of the
tau-lepton, heavy quarks, and W-boson, which follow from the precision
measurements of the electron and neutron EDM.Comment: 8 pages, 7 figures; misprint corrected, results do not chang
Birth of a Closed Universe of Negative Spatial Curvature
We propose a modified form of the spontaneous birth of the universe by
quantum tunneling. It proceeds through topology change and inflation, to
eventually become a universe with closed spatial sections of negative curvature
and nontrivial global topology.Comment: 10 pages, 1 figure. Revised version with better comments on assumed

Why Hybrid Meson Coupling to Two S-wave Mesons is Suppressed
We introduce strong interaction selection rules for the two-body decay and
production of hybrid and conventional mesons coupling to two S-wave hybrid or
conventional mesons. The rules arise from symmetrization in states in the limit
of non-relativistically moving quarks. The conditions under which hybrid
coupling to S-wave states is suppressed are determined by the rules, and the
nature of their breaking is indicated.Comment: 9 pages, LaTeX, 1 eps figures, uses epsf. Minor modifications, Title

The Art of Friluftsliv, a New Philosophy for Climate Change
2015 essay contest winner Sarah Mason\u27s The Art of Friluftsliv, a New Philosophy for Climate Chang
An idea for a new modeling approach of climatic changes. A correlation study for Cyprus
Mathematical Modeling in climatic changes prediction has been based on more or less simple energy balances considering the Earth along with its atmosphere, with the so-called solar "constant" taken as an invariant. However evidence has been supplied in previous WSEAS Conferences that this constant, S, does not remain a constant but it does fluctuate, following the cycles of the solar activity. Furthermore the transmission parameters concerning the input and the output energy, τ V and τ IR from/to the system Earth-Atmosphere also vary and this reflects the human activity leading to increased greenhouse gas quantities, being blamed for a dramatic climatic change the last decades. Thus, considering those fluctuating properties, the following equation for Earth's mean temperature, T, has been developed (A being albedo equal to 0.3 and σ is the Stefan-Boltzmann constant) (Equation presented) with the following multivariate treatment: (Equation presented) We need to obtain the derivatives: (Equation presented) because all S, τ IR, τ V chang
Diffusion coefficient and shear viscosity of rigid water models
We report the diffusion coefficient and viscosity of popular rigid water
models: Two non polarizable ones (SPC/E with 3 sites, and TIP4P/2005 with 4
sites) and a polarizable one (Dang-Chang, 4 sites). We exploit the dependence
of the diffusion coefficient on the system size [Yeh and Hummer, J. Phys. Chem.
B 108, 15873 (2004)] to obtain the size-independent value. This also provides
an estimate of the viscosity of all water models, which we compare to the
Green-Kubo result. In all cases, a good agreement is found. The TIP4P/2005
model is in better agreement with the experimental data for both diffusion and
viscosity. The SPC/E and Dang-Chang water overestimate the diffusion
coefficient and underestimate the viscosity.Comment: 10 pages, 2 figures. To be published in J. Phys.: Condens. Matte
