An extensive photometric study of the Blazhko RR Lyrae star DM Cyg
DM Cyg, a fundamental mode RRab star was observed in the 2007 and 2008
seasons in the frame of the Konkoly Blazhko Survey. Very small amplitude light
curve modulation was detected with 10.57 d modulation period. The maximum
brightness and phase variations do not exceed 0.07 mag and 7 min, respectively.
In spite of the very small amplitude of the modulation, beside the frequency
triplets characterizing the Fourier spectrum of the light curve two quintuplet
components were also identified. The accuracy and the good phase coverage of
our observations made it possible to analyse the light curves at different
phases of the modulation separately. Utilizing the IP method (S\'odor, Jurcsik
and Szeidl, 2009) we could detect very small systematic changes in the global
mean physical parameters of DM Cyg during its Blazhko cycle. The detected
changes are similar to what we have already found for a large modulation
amplitude Blazhko variable MW Lyrae. The amplitudes of the detected changes in
the physical parameters of DM Cyg are only about 10% of that what have been
found in MW Lyr. This is in accordance with its small modulation amplitude
being about one tenth of the modulation amplitude of MW Lyr.Comment: 12 pages, 15 figures, 4 tables. Table 1 is available electronically

Amplitude Modulation in the ZZ Ceti Star GD 244
Previous studies of GD 244 revealed seven pulsation frequencies (two doublets
and three single periods) in the light variations of the star. The data
obtained at McDonald Observatory between 2003 and 2006, and our additional
measurements in 2006 and 2007 at Konkoly Observatory, allow the investigation
of the long-term pulsational behaviour of GD 244. We found that the 307.1 s
period component of one of the doublets show long-term, periodic amplitude
modulation with a time scale of ~740 days. Possible explanations are that
nonlinear resonant mode coupling is operating among the rotationally split
frequency components, or two modes, unresolved in the yearly data are excited
at ~307.1 s. This is the first time that such long-term periodic amplitude

The CoRoT star 105288363: strong cycle to cycle changes of the Blazhko modulation
We present the analysis of the CoRoT star 105288363, a new Blazhko RR Lyrae
star of type RRab (f0 = 1.7623 c/d), observed with the CoRoT space craft during
the second long run in direction of the galactic center (LRc02, time base 145
d). The CoRoT data are characterized by an excellent time sampling and a low
noise amplitude of 0.07 mmag in the 2-12 c/d range and allow us to study not
only the fine details of the variability of the star but also long-term changes
in the pulsation behaviour and the stability of the Blazhko cycle. We use,
among other methods, standard Fourier analysis techniques and O-C diagrams to
investigate the pulsational behavior of the Blazhko star 105288363. In addition
to the frequency pattern expected for a Blazhko RR Lyrae star, we find an
independent mode (f1 = 2.984 c/d) showing a f0/f1 ratio of 0.59 which is
similar to that observed in other Blazhko RR Lyrae stars. The bump and hump
phenomena are also analysed, with their variations over the Blazhko cycle. We
carefully investigated the strong cycle-to-cycle changes in the Blazhko
modulation (PB = 35.6 d), which seem to happen independently and partly
diametrically in the amplitude and the phase modulation. Furthermore, the
phasing between the two types of modulation is found to change during the
