A multiwavelength consensus on the main sequence of star-forming galaxies at z similar to 2

We compare various star formation rate (SFR) indicators for star-forming galaxies at 1.4 < z < 2.5 in the COSMOS field. The main focus is on the SFRs from the far-IR (PACS-Herschel data) with those from the ultraviolet, for galaxies selected according to the BzK criterion. FIR-selected samples lead to a vastly different slope of the SFR-stellar mass (M-*) relation, compared to that of the dominant main-sequence population as measured from the UV, since the FIR selection picks predominantly only a minority of outliers. However, there is overall agreement between the main sequences derived with the two SFR indicators, when stacking on the PACS maps the BzK-selected galaxies. The resulting logarithmic slope of the SFR-M-* relation is similar to 0.8-0.9, in agreement with that derived from the dust-corrected UV luminosity. Exploiting deeper 24 mu m Spitzer data, we have characterized a subsample of galaxies with reddening and SFRs poorly constrained, as they are very faint in the B band. The combination of Herschel with Spitzer data has allowed us to largely break the age/reddening degeneracy for these intriguing sources, by distinguishing whether a galaxy is very red in B-z because of being heavily dust reddened, or whether because star formation has been (or is being) quenched. Finally, we have compared our SFR(UV) to the SFRs derived by stacking the radio data and to those derived from the H alpha luminosity of a sample of star-forming galaxies at 1.4 < z < 1.7. The two sets of SFRs are broadly consistent as they are with the SFRs derived from the UV and by stacking the corresponding PACS data in various mass bins

Una de las consecuencias directas de la crisis del segundo milenio ha sido, inevitablemente, una nueva concepción de la cultura en su vertiente más social. Las instituciones culturales no han podido quedar al margen de una sociedad que se interroga, que se cuestiona y que se replantea nuevos modelos de creación y de comunicación cultural. Como manifestación humana primera, la cultura ha tenido que responder a una imperante necesidad de hacer accesibles los contenidos en la era de la información. Debiendo hacer atractivo lo que hasta el momento era invisible, abriendo los espacios de creación y dando transferencia a las necesidades sociales del momento. En ese sentido, los museos actuales van incorporando un cambio de paradigma hacia lo social de forma paulatina.Este artículo pretende reflexionar sobre esta crisis del modelo estanco de museo como receptáculo de objetos a conservar. Una crisis que, por suerte, parece haberse instalado en nuestros museos ya para quedarse. Diseño y estudio de viabilidad de un sistema de bicicletas compartidas en la Universidad Técnica de Dinamarca

[ES] Hoy en día, la sociedad nos demanda ser lo más productivos posible, trabajando alrededor de ocho horas al día y complementándolo con actividades y vida social. Es, por tanto, necesario disponer de una buena infraestructura que permita a los usuarios desplazarse lo más rápido posible. Estudiantes y profesores pasan la mayor parte del día en el campus de DTU. Dado que está en las afueras, muchos usuarios se desplazan en transporte público y a posteriori a pie dentro del campus hasta sus clases o reuniones. El campus tiene aproximadamente 1,5 kilómetros de largo y 0,6 de ancho, lo que conlleva caminar 20 minutos si lo recorres de extremo a extremo. Este hecho no supondría un gran problema si no fuera debido a la apretada agenda de los estudiantes y profesores, la ubicación de los comedores/restaurantes y el horario de comienzo de las clases nocturnas, lo que genera una difícil gestión del tiempo. Por tanto, el objeto del estudio será la mejora de la comunicación entre las diferentes áreas del campus de DTU mediante el diseño de una red de bicicletas compartidas que sea accesible y funcional. La viabilidad de la red se evaluará como un modelo de negocio, por lo que se presentarán varios escenarios.[EN] Nowadays, people are pushed by society to be as productive as they can be. Working around eight hours a day and supplementing it with activities and social life. Therefore, there is a need to have a good infrastructure that allows people to move from one activity to another as quickly as possible. Students and professors spend most of the day at DTU campus. Since it is on the outskirts, many people go by public transport and walk to reach their lectures or meetings. The campus is approximately 1.5 kilometres long and 0.6 wide, which can lead up to 20 minutes walking from end to end. It should not be a big deal but, due to student's tight schedule, location of the canteens and evening lectures, sometimes is difficult to reach lectures on time. Therefore, the object of study will be to improve the connections between the different areas on DTU campus thorough the design of an accessible and functional bike sharing system. The feasibility of the system will be assessed as a business model, so different scenarios will be presented.Yarritu Sánchez, HC. (2020).
