The study is about analyzing the Organizational climate of IT and it is companies been done through surveying the employees of the company. The study was analyzed by using percentage analysis, chi square method, and factor analysis and the conclusion is that the performance on organizational climate seems good but new training and development programs should be conducted by the company so that the conflict between the management and the employees can be reduced which may lead to increase in the production and profit of the company

    With the developments in Image acquisition techniques there is an increasing interest towards High Dynamic Range (HDR) images where the number of intensity levels ranges between 2 to 10,000. With these many intensity levels, the accurate representation of luminance variations is absolutely possible. But, because the standard display devices are devised to display Low Dynamic Range (LDR) images, there is a need to convert HDR image to LDR image without losing important image structures in HDR images. In the literature a number of techniques are proposed to get tone mapped image from HDR image. In this paper an attempt has been made to analyze four TMOs, i.e., Linear Mode, Gamma Correction, Reinhard and Reinhard with color correction. A subjective analysis tells us that the Reinhard with color correction has produced better results. In this paper two new tone mapping operators are proposed

    Plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs) differ from hybrid vehicles (HEVs) with their capability to use off-board electricity generation to recharge their battery. Electric vehicles are highly emerging for transportation purpose, which have been developed over the past several decades due to various environmental concerns. Pure electric vehicles currently do not have adequate range when powered by batteries alone and also recharging of it requires several hours. The shortcoming raised with the standalone energy source powered electric vehicle made to think about an alternative option for an electric vehicle and motivated towards the hybridization of energy sources in electric vehicle. This paper analyzes the equivalent power circuit and operation principles of a PHEV using UDDS and NEDC driving pattern. Regenerative braking also provides an effective way of extending the driving range of battery powered electric vehicles. Conventional automobiles use Internal Combustion Engines (ICEs) to operate with the energy source from fossil fuels. However, the conventional vehicle system provides limited fuel economy, as well as producing harmful air pollutants. A Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) has been introduced which operates within its all electric range. Which have high capacity of energy storage system. PHEVs used to charge the battery from electricity grid, which differs from the traditional Hybrid Electric Vehicles (HEVs). The plug in hybrid electric vehicle is instigated for enhancing the vehicle performance by improving the fuel economy, effectively capturing the regenerative braking energy by controlling the Battery State of Charge (SoC) level within the optimal upper and lower bound that would improve the battery life, eliminating the fuel starvation problem and maximizing the drivability of the vehicle through an optimized distribution of the required power to the load. The proposed work is focused on designing a gasoline based Hybrid Electric Vehicle includes the modelling of hybrid energy sources and other interfacing structures

    Role Of Kunapa Jala For The Overall Enhancement And Growth Of Prishnaparni

    Vrikshayurveda is a traditional branch of botany that studies plant growth and development. This science mostly recommends using Kunapa jala and Pancha gavya to increase crop output. This idea is around using organic farming to grow plants effectively. Kunapajala, is an organic liquid manure that is a by-product of fermentation and serves as a source of plant nutrients, was stated by Vrikshayurveda. The two main forms of Kunapajala used in practises are herbal and non-herbal, and both are made in accordance with the steps outlined in Vrikshayurvedha. Given its significance, we designed a study to examine the contribution of the Vrikshayurvedha idea to the evolution of medicinal plants; Prishniparni. Present study evaluated role of Kunapajala in the growth and % yield of plant Prishniparni. This study observed that Kunapajala treatment provides best response with respect to root yield and soil physico-chemical parameters. The yield of plant improved quantitatively as well as qualitatively after the use of Kunapajala

    Long-Term Secondary Care Costs of Endometrial Cancer: A Prospective Cohort Study Nested within the United Kingdom Collaborative Trial of Ovarian Cancer Screening (UKCTOCS).

    BACKGROUND: There is limited evidence on the costs of Endometrial Cancer (EC) by stage of disease. We estimated the long-term secondary care costs of EC according to stage at diagnosis in an English population-based cohort. METHODS: Women participating in UKCTOCS and diagnosed with EC following enrolment (2001-2005) and prior to 31st Dec 2009 were identified to have EC through multiple sources. Survival was calculated through data linkage to death registry. Costs estimates were derived from hospital records accessed from Hospital Episode Statistics (HES) with additional patient level covariates derived from case notes and patient questionnaires. Missing and censored data was imputed using Multiple Imputation. Regression analysis of cost and survival was undertaken. RESULTS: 491 of 641 women with EC were included. Five year total costs were strongly dependent on stage, ranging from £9,475 (diagnosis at stage IA/IB) to £26,080 (diagnosis at stage III). Stage, grade and BMI were the strongest predictors of costs. The majority of costs for stage I/II EC were incurred in the first six months after diagnosis while for stage III / IV considerable costs accrued after the first six months. CONCLUSIONS: In addition to survival advantages, there are significant cost savings if patients with EC are detected earlier.The analysis underpinning this study was supported with a grant from Cancer Research UK (CRUK Grant No: A16008) awarded to RL (http://www.cancerresearchuk. org/funding-for-researchers).     The Ontario Mother and Infant Study (TOMIS) III: A multi-site cohort study of the impact of delivery method on health, service use, and costs of care in the first postpartum year

    Abstract Background The caesarean section rate continues to rise globally. A caesarean section is inarguably the preferred method of delivery when there is good evidence that a vaginal delivery may unduly risk the health of a woman or her infant. Any decisions about delivery method in the absence of clear medical indication should be based on knowledge of outcomes associated with different childbirth methods. However, there is lack of sold evidence of the short-term and long-term risks and benefits of a planned caesarean delivery compared to a planned vaginal delivery. It also is important to consider the economic aspects of caesarean sections, but very little attention has been given to health care system costs that take into account services used by women for themselves and their infants following hospital discharge. Methods and design The Ontario Mother and Infant Study III is a prospective cohort study to examine relationships between method of delivery and maternal and infant health, service utilization, and cost of care at three time points during the year following postpartum hospital discharge. Over 2500 women were recruited from 11 hospitals across the province of Ontario, Canada, with data collection occurring between April 2006 and October 2008. Participants completed a self-report questionnaire in hospital and structured telephone interviews at 6 weeks, 6 months, and 12 months after discharge. Data will be analyzed using generalized estimating equation, a special generalized linear models technique. A qualitative descriptive component supplements the survey approach, with the goal of assisting in interpretation of data and providing explanations for trends in the findings. Discussion The findings can be incorporated into patient counselling and discussions about the advantages and disadvantages of different delivery methods, potentially leading to changes in preferences and practices. In addition, the findings will be useful to hospital- and community-based postpartum care providers, managers, and administrators in guiding risk assessment and early intervention strategies. Finally, the research findings can provide the basis for policy modification and implementation strategies to improve outcomes and reduce costs of care

    Methanotrophy, Methylotrophy, the Human Body and Disease

    Methylotrophic Bacteria use one-carbon (C1) compounds as their carbon source. They have been known to be associated to the human body for almost 20 years as part of the normal flora and were identified as pathogens in the early 1990s in end-stage HIV patients and chemotherapy patients. In this chapter, I look at C1 compounds in the human body and exposure from the environment and then consider Methylobacterium spp. and Methylorubrum spp. in terms of infections, its role in breast and bowel cancers; Methylococcus capsulatus and its role in inflammatory bowel disease, and Brevibacterium casei and Hyphomicrobium sulfonivorans as part of the normal human flora. I also consider the abundance of methylotrophs from the Actinobacteria being identified in human studies and the potential bias of the ionic strength of culture media and the needs for future work. Within the scope of future work, I consider the need for the urgent assessment of the pathogenic, oncogenic, mutagenic and teratogenic potential of Methylobacterium spp. and Methylorubrum spp. and the need to handle them at higher containment levels until more data are available
