The number of learning styles can influence behavior of their objects, which change the way of thinking, acting, and even communication ability. The suitable recognition leads to the improving experience students might have. One of them is Engineering Learning. It is a concept for students to get involved finding problems in society and create the solution with the idea of engineering. This learning will directly examine theoretical understanding of students, for then bringing together the effective way to be applied. Engineering Service Community (ESC) is an activity focused on community service with having Engineering Learning concept. Held by universities globally, ESC consists of students as objects of Engineering Learning notion and lecturers to supervise any decision taken. This year (2018), ESC is being conducted in Plered, West Java, Indonesia, which has been known for ceramic production. Lately, due to conventional way of processing, the industries in Plered are being challenged to overcome the decreasing quality of the commodity. This paper will review the implementation of Engineering Learning method to meet the needs of society in Plered and the application of students’ conceptual framework

In this era, technology is getting more advanced and develop rapidly. Most of every created technology requires an electrical energy. Along the current technology development, power or electrical energy delivery can deliver through air without using a cable as in general. However on AGV (Automatic Guided Vehicle) technology, charging power transfer is still conventionally using cable. The purpose of this paper is to resolve the power transfer process so that become more efficient. By applying wireless charging technology, the charging process into AGV can be more efficient. A 220 V power source with 50 Hz frequency will be forwarded to the power supply which changes AC to DC then will be converted again to the inverter from DC to AC voltage forwarded directly to the primary coil through air delivery. The results that have been achieved in this paper is the amount of power delivered more than 6.75 watts with a frequency of 9 KHz. The optimal distance for sending power is 0 - 5 cm. So the distance on wireless charging greatly affects the quality of the power delivery process performed

Geometric and Grayscale Template Matching for Saudi Arabian Riyal Paper Currency Recognition

Detecting the authenticity of paper currencies using automated based Paper Currency Recognition (PCR) with image processing techniques was still a hot topic of discussion, due to the circulation of counterfeit currency that was still overwhelming in some countries. There was a downside along with this advancement in technology in the field of color printing, duplication, and scanning, because it was became one of the supporting factors of the increasing crime rate in production of counterfeit money. Our system has performed a PCR approach based on image processing techniques. In this study, the SAR banknote was the object to be recognized and detected its authenticity with the development of the previous method, which was incorporating the Geometric Template Matching and Grayscale Template Matching. In addition to the pattern recognition process, the classification process on 1 SAR, 2 SAR, 5 SAR, and 10 SAR was also performed. From PCR test up to 100 sample data, for each tested banknote value obtained the average value of the best accuracy level from incorporating GeoMatchingScore and GrayMatchingScore for the classification process was 95.25%. While the average level of system accuracy in recognizing counterfeit money on each banknote obtained a maximum value of 100%

ANN design model to recognize the direction of multi-robot AGV

Automatic Guided Vehicle (AVG) Robot is a kind of mobile robot. This robot serves to transport goods from one place to a certain place. One type of robot that is currently being developed and researched is the multi robot. This robot is more focused in terms of communication between robots, so that the robots will not collide with each other. In its implementation, multirobots differentiate from each other by communicating using camera sensors, so that image processing will be carried out. In this study, an Artificial Neural Network (ANN) model will be implemented which can differentiate between two robots. There are six input which are R1L, R1SR, R1SL, R2Ls, R2SR and R2 SL. The number of data sets entered is 300 data which is divided into 225 train data and 75 test data. The activation used are RelU and Softmax. The optimizer used is the Adam optimizer with a learning rate of 0.003, epoch used 50 with a batch size of 25. The result shows that the accuracy of the ANN model was 96%

Development of mobile billing application system for PAMDES water meter data logging

Along with the growth of Sindangsari's population, the water requirement in this village has increased. So, the drinking water company (PAMDES) in this village must be able to manage the available water to meet the necessities of public life. Now, the water company is still collecting and recording water meters manually. It is very risky to consider the water condition in the village because an officer can make a human error while recording the water meter's value. When the water meter recorder is damaged, the officer estimates the water meter's value. An application is needed to manage bills and record water meters to avoid this in previous studies using the Internet of Things (IoT) or mobile applications that must be sent online to the server in real-time. This solution is not suitable for the internet condition in Indonesia, which is not evenly distributed to remote villages. This study proposes to use a mobile application that can store data on mobile devices. When the internet connection is unavailable, it can be sent later when it is available again. In this study, data obtained that the condition of the meter recorder from 672 customers, 37 water meters recorder is damaged. In addition, water meter data is also obtained for the following month's bill and data on average water usage of 10,661m3 per month. With these data, it is found that the minimum water requirement is 10,661 m3 per month. It is hoped that the application for billing management and recording of PAMDES water meters in Sindangsari village, Cikoneng sub-district, Ciamis district can help increase PAMDES management capacity
