    COMPILING VOCABULARY LISTS FOR CORPUS-BASED ARABIC FOR TOURISM TEACHING

    Arabic for Tourism is a course that can be facilitated with innovative teaching materials along with the availability of learning resources on the internet rich in vocabulary and terms typical to the field of Arabic tourism. Therefore, the use of Arabic tourism websites is an effective way to compile vocabulary lists. The articles published in this kind of websites can be collected to be used as a corpus, then processed using a corpus processing software, AntConc. This study used a combination of qualitative and quantitative approaches with descriptive and comparative methods using a corpus linguistic approach. Teachers can take advantage of the features in this application to identify vocabularies commonly used in the world of tourism. These features are word frequency, concordance, collocation, and N-Gram. The results can be used as a reference in compiling an Arabic for Tourism vocabulary list

    The use of code-mixing in oral and written forms is one of the factors that produced a language variety neither in direct communication or undirected communication through social media. One of the cases is the WhatsApp application. This study discusses the phenomenon of Arabic code-mixing that used in the WhatsApp Group of Da'wah institute in Al Azhar University of Indonesia. The purpose of this study was to identify the Arabic code-mixing forms in the LDK KARISMA Al-Azhar University of Indonesia WhatsApp group and to obtain the motivation of the code-mixing usages in direct-communication or the communication that through the social media. Code-mixing and its form were analyzed using sociolinguistic theory, then to examine the context of WhatsApp conversation that contains code-mixing, the researcher used discourse analysis theory. Researchers found 33 mixed codes in 3 forms, which is the form of words, phrases, and clauses. To discover the motivation of using Arabic code-mixing, the researcher made an online questionnaire and described it through descriptive statistical techniques with a total of 27 respondents. The results of the online questionnaire found that the majority of the motivation of the members of LDK KARISMA UAI used Arabic code-mixing in a communication aimed as a means of supporting da'wah activities

    The Covid-19 pandemic has led to online learning in almost all schools in Indonesia, one of them being SDIT Al-Halimiyah, East Jakarta. This condition requires that every subject, such as Arabic, has innovation in the usage of learning media. Learning media are tools that function to clarify learning materials and help achieve better learning. One of the media that can support online learning is audio-visual media. The focus of the research discusses the online learning process, the use of audio-visual media for online learning, and the inhibiting and supporting factors for the usage of audio-visual media in online learning for Arabic language subjects. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. The collection technique uses interviews and observations of Arabic teachers at SDIT Al-Halimiyah. Based on the results of this study, the researcher suggested that the online learning process used video materials made by the teachers, PowerPoint, voice notes, and online meetings. Learning videos are one of the audio-visual media most often used by teachers, and for difficult materials, students can ask the teacher through WhatsApp Groups, and Google Classroom. Audio-visual media is the optimal media in the online learning process. The supporting factors are subject matter that is easily accessible and repeatedly, makes it easier for teachers to convey material to many students, and learning materials are interestingly delivered. While, the inhibiting factors are unstable internet connections, the presence of students who did not have adequate electronic devices, and the lack of socialization of the use of audio-visual media from schools to teachers and students.Keywords - Covid-19, pembelajaran online, media audio-visual, mata pelajaran Bahasa Ara

    Senyapan dan Kilir Lidah Terhadap Produksi Kalimat pada Video dalam Playlist “Mata Najwa 2021” (Kajian Psikolinguistik)

    Senyapan dan kilir lidah kerap kali terjadi pada siapa saja, di mana saja, dan kapan saja. Tak jarang tokoh-tokoh ternama yang sudah terbiasa memberikan pidatonya dan berhadapan langsung dengan keramaian mengalami hal tersebut. Ada beberapa faktor penyebab terjadinya, yaitu grogi, tergesa-gesa, berhati-hati dalam pengucapan kata, dan juga tidak fokus. Ini membuktikan bahwa senyapan dan kilir lidah adalah suatu ketidaksengajaan yang secara refleks terjadi begitu saja. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menyajikan dan mendeskripsikan data kedalam berbagai macam jenis senyapan dan kilir lidah pada data yang diakses penulis pada tanggal 18 Juli 2021 berupa tiga video full version terbaru akun resmi milik Najwa Shihab dalam playlist YouTube “Mata Najwa 2021” yang berjudul sebagai berikut (1) Jangan Tunggu Giliran, (2) Warga Bantu Warga, dan (3) Dilema Negeri +62. Dalam penelitian ini, penulis menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui metode simak catat pada video-video tersebut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat senyapan diam dan senyapan terisi, kekeliruan seleksi (medan semantik), kekeliruan assembling (antisipasi dan perseverasi), dan kekeliruan fitur distingtif
