Молодежь современной Беларуси: базовые ценности, жизненные планы и поведенческие стратегии
The article considers the transformation of basic values, life plans and behavioral strategies of the youth in contemporary Belarus. The changes in basic values are directly connected with the youth's adaptation to the conditions of global instability. The new generation is sensitive to social injustice, violations of rights and freedoms, unwillingness to take into account their opinions on current issues of social development and the future. The self-perception of people regarding the possibility to realize basic values in the current social-economic conditions is an important factor of social stability. In both 1990 and 2018, family holds the first place among the basic values in Belarus; work takes the second place as a factor of decent life and family's success; the importance of friends and leisure remains the same over the decades, while the importance of politics and religion grows. International comparisons show that Belarus has the same hierarchy of values as European countries. The surveys prove a decrease in popularity of the traditional media among the youth and an increase in individualism, importance of personal self-realization in family and at work, and in reliance on one’s own forces. In the public space, the needs and expectations of people have changed - there is an increase in political radicalization and critical perception of the most important events, which affects the behavioral patterns of social-demographic groups. Education together with the family and new information technologies have a significant impact on values - there is an intragenerational gap, alienation from society and increasing informatization. The article is based on the results of the sociological surveys conducted in the framework of the European Values Study (EVS) (the results of 1990 and 2018 are compared)
Nonvascularized human skin chronic allograft rejection.
A 65-year-old man had extensive burns of the lower legs in 1991, at the age of 40 years. He was treated by nonvascularized and de-epithelialized, allogeneic split-thickness skin allograft and cyclosporine monotherapy for 2 months. Ulcers developed between 10 and 25 years after transplantation and a surgical debridement on the lower extremities was required. Analyses of the removed tissue allografts showed chronic antibody-mediated and cellular rejection with extensive and dense fibrosis, and diffuse capillary C4d deposits. An anti-DRB1*08:01, donor-specific antibody was present. A unique clinical condition with late immunopathological features of human skin chronic allograft rejection is reported
Renal Fanconi Syndrome and Hypophosphatemic Rickets in the Absence of Xenotropic and Polytropic Retroviral Receptor in the Nephron.
Tight control of extracellular and intracellular inorganic phosphate (Pi) levels is critical to most biochemical and physiologic processes. Urinary Pi is freely filtered at the kidney glomerulus and is reabsorbed in the renal tubule by the action of the apical sodium-dependent phosphate transporters, NaPi-IIa/NaPi-IIc/Pit2. However, the molecular identity of the protein(s) participating in the basolateral Pi efflux remains unknown. Evidence has suggested that xenotropic and polytropic retroviral receptor 1 (XPR1) might be involved in this process. Here, we show that conditional inactivation of Xpr1 in the renal tubule in mice resulted in impaired renal Pi reabsorption. Analysis of Pi transport in primary cultures of proximal tubular cells or in freshly isolated renal tubules revealed that this Xpr1 deficiency significantly affected Pi efflux. Further, mice with conditional inactivation of Xpr1 in the renal tubule exhibited generalized proximal tubular dysfunction indicative of Fanconi syndrome, characterized by glycosuria, aminoaciduria, calciuria, and albuminuria. Dramatic alterations in the renal transcriptome, including a significant reduction in NaPi-IIa/NaPi-IIc expression, accompanied these functional changes. Additionally, Xpr1-deficient mice developed hypophosphatemic rickets secondary to renal dysfunction. These results identify XPR1 as a major regulator of Pi homeostasis and as a potential therapeutic target in bone and kidney disorders
Spontaneous non-traumatic splenic artery aneurysm rupture: a case report and review of the literature.
The current case report is about spontaneous non-traumatic rupture of a splenic artery aneurysm (SAA) in a 53-year-old woman with no particular medical history. An emergent laparotomy with splenectomy was required, unfortunately without success as the patient died. SAA is the most common visceral artery aneurysm. Most of SAA remain asymptomatic and are discovered incidentally on imaging. The overall risk of rupture increases with the size of SAA, especially when above 2 cm. Initial presentation of SAA has been associated with acute rupture and hemodynamic instability leading to substantial perioperative morbidity and mortality
Quantum Fourier transform, Heisenberg groups and quasiprobability distributions
This paper aims to explore the inherent connection among Heisenberg groups,
quantum Fourier transform and (quasiprobability) distribution functions.
Distribution functions for continuous and finite quantum systems are examined
first as a semiclassical approach to quantum probability distribution. This
leads to studying certain functionals of a pair of "conjugate" observables,
connected via the quantum Fourier transform. The Heisenberg groups emerge
naturally from this study and we take a rapid look at their representations.
The quantum Fourier transform appears as the intertwining operator of two
equivalent representation arising out of an automorphism of the group.
Distribution functions correspond to certain distinguished sets in the group
algebra. The marginal properties of a particular class of distribution
functions (Wigner distributions) arise from a class of automorphisms of the
group algebra of the Heisenberg group. We then study the reconstruction of
Wigner function from the marginal distributions via inverse Radon transform
giving explicit formulas. We consider applications of our approach to quantum
information processing and quantum process tomography.Comment: 39 page
A nilpotent IP polynomial multiple recurrence theorem
We generalize the IP-polynomial Szemer\'edi theorem due to Bergelson and
McCutcheon and the nilpotent Szemer\'edi theorem due to Leibman. Important
tools in our proof include a generalization of Leibman's result that polynomial
mappings into a nilpotent group form a group and a multiparameter version of

Postmortem Cardiopulmonary Pathology in Patients with COVID-19 Infection: Single-Center Report of 12 Autopsies from Lausanne, Switzerland.
We report postmortem cardio-pulmonary findings including detection of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) in formalin-fixed paraffin embedded tissue in 12 patients with COVID-19. The 5 women and 7 men (median age: 73 years; range 35-96) died 6-38 days after onset of symptoms (median: 14.5 days). Eight patients received mechanical ventilation. Ten patients showed diffuse alveolar damage (DAD), 7 as exudative and 3 as proliferative/organizing DAD. One case presented as acute fibrinous and organizing pneumonia. Seven patients (58%) had acute bronchopneumonia, 1/7 without associated DAD and 1/7 with aspergillosis and necrotic bronchitis. Microthrombi were present in 5 patients, only in exudative DAD. Reverse transcriptase quantitative PCR detected high virus amounts in 6 patients (50%) with exudative DAD and symptom-duration ≤14 days, supported by immunohistochemistry and in-situ RNA hybridization (RNAscope). The 6 patients with low viral copy levels were symptomatic for ≥15 days, comprising all cases with organizing DAD, the patient without DAD and one exudative DAD. We show the high prevalence of DAD as a reaction pattern in COVID-19, the high number of overlying acute bronchopneumonia, and high-level pulmonary virus detection limited to patients who died ≤2 weeks after onset of symptoms, correlating with exudative phase of DAD
