DEVELOPMENT AND EVALUATION OF ANTIDIABETIC POLYHERBAL TABLET USING MEDICINAL PLANTS OF TRADITIONAL USE
Objective: The aim of the present study is to develop and evaluate poly herbal tablet prepared for management of diabetes with enhanced disintegration time.
Methods: The polyherbal extract prepared using methanolic extract of selected traditionally used medicinal plants such as Adenanthera pavonina, Kigelia africana, Parkia biglandulosa and Syzygium jambose (1:1:1:2) was evaluated in the alloxan monohydrate induced diabetic rat model. The polyherbal tablets were prepared by wet granulation method with excipients microcrystalline cellulose, dicalcium phosphate dehydrate and sodium starch glycolate. After preformulation studies tablets were evaluated by using weight variation, hardness, friability and disintegration time. The diabetic rats treated with polyherbal extract were compared with the diabetic control rats group.
Results: Positive results were obtained in the observed parameters, thus favoring the use of the plants. Pre-formulation study revealed that all the evaluated parameters were found to be within the acceptable limits. The weight variation of the formulated tablets was 1.43 % RSD. The disintegration time of the formulations was found to be 9.50 minutes. The tablets also underwent accelerated stability over the period of three months. No marked changes were observed in all the parameters evaluated during three months of accelerated stability study.
Conclusion: Laboratory-scale preparation of polyherbal tablet can lead to new powerful and stable oral dosage formulations for diabetes mellitus and lighten the synergistic area of ​​action of herbs

RESOLVEMENT OF POWER QUALITY PROBLEMS BY UNIFIED POWER QUALITY CONDITIONER (UPQC)
In this project presents a Design of a Unified Power Quality conditioner (UPQC) connected to three phase four wire system (3P4W). The neutral of series transformer used in the fourth wire for the 3P4W system. The neutral current that may flow toward transformer neutral point is compensated by using a four-leg voltage source inverter topology for shunt part. The series transformer neutral will be at virtual zero potential during all operating conditions. In this simulation we observe the power quality problems such as unbalanced voltage and current, harmonics by connecting non linear load to 3P4W system with Unified Power Quality conditioner. A new control strategy such as unit vector template is used to design the series APF to balance the unbalanced current present in the load currents by expanding the concept of single phase P-Q theory
A rare case of heterotopic pregnancy: an avalanche of catastrophe
An ectopic pregnancy is the development of an embryo outside the uterus, a major cause of maternal morbidity and mortality. Heterotopic pregnancy is when an intrauterine implanted embryo develops simultaneously along with an extra uterine implantation. With rising incidence of assisted reproductive technology (ART), incidence of ectopic pregnancy is on a rise. We report a case of an elderly patient, conceived by in vitro fertilization and embryo transfer (IVF-ET), who had a catastrophe of events following conception, where she had an intrauterine twin gestation and an ectopic gestation in the left fallopian tube. She presented with vomiting and on ultrasound scan, we found a twin intra uterine gestation, with demise of one twin with no sign of ectopic implantation. Initially we decided to continue pregnancy. However, she had persistent spotting per vagina, and on a repeat ultrasound scan there was intrauterine demise of the other foetus also. Her uterus was then evacuated under anaesthesia. Post operatively, she became hemodynamic ally unstable and ultrasound was inconclusive of the cause. So, we subjected her to an MRI which showed a left adnexal ruptured ectopic pregnancy with hemoperitoneum. She was immediately taken up for exploratory laparotomy and left salpingectomy was done hemoperitoneum evacuated. Due to timely intervention and use of advanced techniques for diagnosis, she recovered successfully. Thus, heterotopic pregnancy can be a rare, life threatening complication of IVF, a vigilant eye and not shying away from the use of novel and advanced techniques for diagnosis, can help in early diagnosis and timely intervention and thus prove to be lifesaving.
Nutritional and rheological properties of pumpkin seed based fruits spread
Fruit spread is prepared by combining sugar with processed fruit juice, concentrated fruit juice, or whole fruit. Pumpkin (Curcurbita maxima) seeds are commonly seen as industrial waste and discarded. Pumpkin seed was roasted and made into powder form. β-carotene rich fruits such as mango, papaya, and muskmelon were used to extract the pulp. To obtain a desired consistency of fruit spread, the fruit pulp (25%) was blended with roasted seed powder (70%) Fruits were scattered at 5° to 10° Brix and sugar was added. To extend the shelf life and improve the quality of the spreads, they were pasteurised at 60°C for 30 minutes. The spreads were packaged in two different types of packaging material food grade glass containers and polypropylene containers. They were kept in refrigerated conditions at 4°C for further analysis. After organoleptic evaluation, the fruits spreads were analysed for nutritional content, textural properties and microbial content. Pumpkin seed based fruit spreads have 15.23 to 15.64% moisture, 6.7 to 7.18 % protein, 4.53 to 4.89% fat, 5.29 to 5.69% fiber and 15.36 to 28.67% carbohydrates. The pumpkin seed based fruit spreads had 15.41 to 23.04°Brix of total soluble solids. The fruit spreads had 85.82 to 764.54 g hardness, -88.54 to-205.45 g adhesiveness, 0.87 to 0.95 springiness,0.48 to 0.74 cohesiveness, 64.78 to 344.06 gumminess and 61.53 to 311.64 chewiness. The pumpkin seed based fruits spread had viscosities of 2.21 to 3.58 centipoises. The mango based fruit spreads had the highest score values among the fruit spreads. The fruit spread encompassed enormous bioactive compounds when compared to other fruit spreads available on the market
Using Prevention Science to Promote Children's Mental Health
This poster was presented at the International Counseling Psychology Conference in Chicago, IL, in March 2008.In a recent issue of The Counseling Psychologist, Hage et al. (2007) encouraged greater involvement of counseling psychologists in prevention related activities. To support these efforts, the authors described 15 principles of prevention science and provided aspirational guidelines to counseling psychologists. Although the call for counseling psychology participation in prevention activities is not new, the article was unique in connecting counseling psychology to the emerging field of prevention science and in offering suggestions for applying these principles. The present poster is intended to highlight the prevention science principles articulated by Hage et al. (2007) by describing the activities of the Missouri Prevention Center, a program that uses these principles of prevention science within counseling research to enhance children's mental health
Phytochemicals characterization of nutraceutical enriched fruits and nuts spread
The present study aimed to formulate a nutraceutical enriched fruits and nuts spreads and analyze the presence of phytochemicals in the formulated spread. The pumpkin seeds and cucumber seeds were roasted at 150° C for 15 mins and made into powder. The seed powder was mixed to the pulp of ?-carotene rich fruits like mango, papaya and muskmelon in order to make fruits and nuts spread. Treatments like Mango with pumpkin seed powder (T1), Papaya with pumpkin seed powder (T2), Muskmelon with pumpkin seed powder (T3), Mango with cucumber seed powder (T4), Papaya with cucumber seed powder (T5) and Muskmelon with cucumber seed powder (T6). The fruits and nuts spreads were analyzed for the presence of phytochemicals ?-carotene, polyphenols, tannins, flavonoids and antioxidant activity. The formulated fruits and nuts spreads were packed in polypropylene boxes, glass bottles and stored under refrigerated condition at 4°C. ?-carotene content was found to be high (634.21?g/g) in Mango with Pumpkin seed powder spread (T1), tannin content was higher (52.61 mg/g) in Papaya with Pumpkin seed powder spread (T2), flavonoid components were higher (3.25 mg/g) in Mango with Pumpkin seed powder spread (T1), and polyphenols content were found to be high (59.33 mg/g) in Papaya with Cucumber seed powder spread (T5). The antioxidant property was high in the Mango with Pumpkin seed powder spread (T1) when compared to all other treatments. Pumpkin seeds comprised of excellent amount of bioactive compounds. The pumpkin seed incorporated spread showed a high level of phytochemicals when compared to other spreads. This was ready to eat spread which had 3 months of shelf life under refrigerated condition is preferred for people of all age groups

A rare case of acute non-puerperal uterine inversion due to large leiomyoma in COVID pandemic: challenges in clinical diagnosis and management
Non puerperal uterine inversion is a very rare clinical scenario with very few gynaecologist actually managing it in their lifetime. Acute variety of non-puerperal inversion is even rarer and thus possess diagnostic and management challenges. Case study of a rare case of a 45 years old female who was admitted for an elective surgery and had sudden acute inversion of uterus which was clinically diagnosed. Patient was managed by debulking of tumour which turned out to be large leiomyoma, followed by total abdominal hysterectomy. Rarity of the disease, atypical symptoms and less clinical exposure to such cases pose diagnostic as well as surgical challenges as in our case

Ongoing developments in academic and social-emotional curriculum, combined with external pressures to improve student outcomes, create challenges for districts to make informed decisions about programs to implement in their schools. In particular, efforts to identify and implement best practices in mental health programming and services are complicated by constantly evolving initiatives, strategies, and delivery systems. Our poster presents a rationale and model for helping school districts select and implement best practices in prevention and mental health promotion programming
