AS POLÍTICAS NEOLIBERAIS E SUAS IMPLICAÇÕES NO REFERENCIAL CURRICULAR DAS ESCOLAS DO CAMPO NO MUNICÍPIO DE BOM JESUS DA LAPA – BAHIA

The research entitled "The Neoliberal Policies and their Implications in the Curricular Reference of Rural Schools in the Municipality of Bom Jesus da Lapa - Bahia" has as main objective to analyze the implications of neoliberal policies in the curriculum of rural schools in the municipality of Bom Jesus da Lapa - Bahia. Lapa – Bahia. Due to the scope of the theme, we opted for a qualitative approach, for that, we adopted the documentary research of the following instruments: BNCC (2015/2016/2017) and the Curricular Reference of the Municipality of Bom Jesus da Lapa, in order to understand their eventual approximations and/or distances. The data obtained revealed that the BNCC did not think about the specificities of field students. Promotion of the quality of life of workers in a higher education institution: a scope review

The present study aimed to map the evidence to provide an overview of actions implemented/executed and scales used in public higher education institutions to promote worker health. A scoping review based on the PCC (Population, Concept, and Context) mnemonic was conducted in PubMed, CINAHL, Scopus and Virtual Health Library (VHL). Population included workers from a higher education institution, the concept referred to studies focusing on the assessment of quality of life and health promotion actions and the context to higher education institutions. Electronic searches were held on December 2019. A qualitative synthesis of the data extracted from included studies (i.e. author, year, study design, sample, country, aims, action implemented/performed, thematic focus, evaluation) was performed. Electronic searches retrieved 3,330 articles that were screened by tittles and abstracts. Of these, 34 studies were fully appraised, of which four reported that actions implemented/executed related to sedentariness, posture and stress. The studies show 49 scales were identified to measuring at least one quality of life item. Through this scoping review the available evidence to provide an overview of actions implemented/executed and scales used in public higher education institutions to promote worker health. Future studies should consider more rigorous designs and objective measures to measure the quality of life of these professionals, and develop target interventions based on factors associated with the work. It is also necessary to evaluate whether the strategies work

Economic-financial and patrimonial elder abuse: a documentary study

Objective: To analyze economic-financial and patrimonial cases of elder abuse, recorded in the specialized police station for security and protection of the elderly of a capital city in the northeast region of Brazil. Method: A cross-sectional study was carried out with data extracted from police reports and inquiries recorded in the abovementioned police station. Descriptive and inferential statistics were carried out by means of Pearson’s chisquare test or Fisher’s exact test, and multivariate logistic regression. Results: The sample was made up of 555 police reports. The data showed that financial abuse presented a prevalence of 58.9%, and that older elderly people (67.9%), men (70.4%), and single (75.0%) presented a higher percentage of financial abuse compared with other types of violence, often occurring in public places, with 3.1 more chances of occurrence than at the elderly’s home. Regarding aggressors, women (73.5%), without suspicion of alcohol use (66.4%), and non-family members committed more financial abuse, evidencing 2.97 more chances of practicing it. Conclusion: In the period studied, financial abuse increased in its magnitude when compared with other types of violence, a fact that justifies researching the theme in order to prevent it

Jovens do campo no ensino superior

Por considerar a necessidade de dar visibilidade à existência de novos atores sociais e políticos que começaram a adentrar a Universidade, esta pesquisa parte, então, do objetivo principal, que é conhecer quem são os jovens do campo que acessam e vivenciam a experiência universitária. O texto que segue é resultado da pesquisa intitulada “Jovens do campo e educação superior: um estudo sobre o acesso e permanência na universidade pública” realizada no Campus XII da Universidade do Estado da Bahia (UNEB). O estudo considerou para levantamento de dados as matrículas dos ingressantes entre 2013 e 2016. Como procedimento de coleta de dados, foi realizado levantamento das matrículas junto à secretaria acadêmica do DEDC/XII com a pretensão de identificar os jovens oriundos do campo matriculados nesta instituição. Após isso, foram utilizados questionários com 107 jovens do campo identificados. Com a análise desses dados, buscamos compreender quem são esses jovens que decidiram continuar os estudos mesmo quando a condição de ser jovem do campo esteve atravessada por dificuldades históricas, de acesso à educação e à garantia de direitos sociais, uma vez que o acesso à universidade para esses tem sido considerado como um processo longevo, de enfrentamentos. Palavras-chave: Acesso. Entre rimas e versos: análise de uma experiência de estágio como pesquisa a partir do uso de poemas com crianças do campo

The main objective of this research is to analyze how the work with poems in school can be an instrument to awaken the taste of rural children by reading. For this, during the internship we developed a research through a project of reading poems with 4th year students of the Rômulo Almeida Municipal School, located in the city of Guanambi, Bahia. The work is based on the perspective of research in the internship and internship as research, through the pedagogical documentation method.  The pedagogical documentation makes use of the production of memories from the experience experienced in order to realize praxis. Through this exercise it was possible to analyze and reflect the poetic events developed during the pedagogical practice in teaching with rural students. In summary, this production allows us to conclude that: the work with poems in school is of great importance, since children broaden their vision of the world and space in which they live, develop creativity, reflex. It is notepoint that, in the case of undergraduate courses, we consid-er this research practice at the internship very im-portant and necessary, because the future teacher will be concerned about the constructions and start think-ing about their methods for the preparation of classes and, consequently, improvement in the quality of teaching-learning.O objetivo principal desta pesquisa é analisar como o trabalho com poemas na escola pode ser um instrumento para despertar o gosto de crianças do campo pela leitura. Para isso, desenvolvemos durante o estágio uma pesquisa através de um projeto de leitura de poemas com alunos(as) do 4º ano da Escola Municipal Rômulo Almeida, situada na cidade de Guanambi, Bahia. O trabalho se fundamenta na perspectiva da pesquisa no estágio e do estágio como pesquisa, por meio do método da documentação pedagógica.  A documentação pedagógica faz uso da produção de memórias a partir da experiência vivenciada de modo a concretizar a práxis. Através desse exercício foi possível analisar e refletir os eventos poéticos desenvolvidos durante a prática pedagógica na docência com alunos(as) do campo. Em síntese, esta produção permite concluir que: o trabalho com poemas na escola é de grande importância, já que as crianças ampliam sua visão sobre o mundo e espaço em que vivem, desenvolvem a criatividade, a reflexão e o repertório de leitura/habilidades com a escrita; e que é possível desenvolver o estágio como pesquisa e a pesquisa no estágio. Ressalta-se que, no caso de cursos de licenciatura, consideramos essa prática de pesquisa no estágio muito importante e necessária, pois o(a) futuro(a) professor(a) se inquietará diante das construções e passará a pensar sobre os seus métodos para a elaboração das aulas e, consequentemente, melhoria na qualidade do ensino-aprendizagem

Computer models for disease prediction

With the increased computational power and ease of gathering medical information, Artificial Intelligence has helped all areas of health in developing algorithms and techniques for disease diagnosis and staging. The technology has been applied in several areas, due to its wide range of features, some activities become simpler with your help. Thus, this study aimed to identify the main computational models for disease prediction. Data collection was performed in the virtual databases present in the Health Library Research Portal (VHL): LILACS: Latin American and Caribbean Health Sciences Literature, Scielo - ScientificElectronic Library Online and Literature Analysis and Retrieval System Medical Online (MEDLINE). We found 52 articles and 10 of these in the review. From the reading and evaluation of the included articles, which can be aided by computer vision techniques, machine learning through neural networks and pattern recognition can be developed algorithms capable of identifying diseases. Thus, from this diagnosis provided by the algorithm, the health professional will have conditions for early prevention, diagnosis and treatment of diseases

LESIONES EN MOTOCICLISTAS: CARACTERÍSTICAS DEL ACCIDENTE Y USO DE EQUIPOS DE PROTECCIÓN

Objective: Analyze the relationship among the occurrence of motorcycle injuries, thecharacteristics of traffic accidents, and use of protective equipment by motorcyclists.Method: This is a correlational cross-sectional study conducted in an urgent care hospital inTeresina, State of Piauí, from December 2016 to April 2017, with 360 injured motorcyclists.Descriptive statistics were analyzed and associations were identified using the chi-square testand Fisher’s exact test.Results: Prevalence of injuries was observed in men of low school education level, with ownmotorcycle, but without a driver license. Also, statistically significant associations were foundbetween the occurrence of head injuries; having a driver license; use of protective equipment;blood alcohol content; lower limb injuries; driving experience; and being economically active.Conclusion: Findings demonstrate the importance of inspection to prevent motorcycleaccidents and draw the attention of nursing researchers and professionals who assist thispopulation to the importance of educational actions and campaigns, mainly of nurses inprimary care.Objetivo: Analizar la relación entre ocurrencia de lesiones, característica del accidente detránsito y uso de equipos de protección en motociclistas.Método: Estudio transversal, correlacional, realizado en hospital de urgencias de Teresina,Piauí, entre diciembre de 2016 y abril de 2017, participando 360 motociclistas accidentados.Se aplicó estadística descriptiva, verificándose las asociaciones por test de Chi-cuadrado yExacto de Fischer.Resultados: Hubo prevalencia de lesiones en hombres, de baja escolarización, sin licenciahabilitante, aunque con motocicleta propia. Se constataron también asociacionesestadísticamente significativas entre lesiones de cabeza; licencia habilitante; uso de equiposde protección; alcoholemia; lesiones en miembros inferiores; tiempo de conducción y sereconómicamente activo.Conclusión: Los hallazgos revelan la importancia del control preventivo de accidentesmotociclísticos, llamando la atención de investigadores de enfermería y otros profesionalesque atienden a esta población, sobre la importancia de acciones y campañas educativas,particularmente de enfermeros, en atención primaria.Objetivo: analisar a relação entre a ocorrência de lesões, as características do acidente de trânsitoe uso de equipamentos protetivos por motociclistas.Método: estudo transversal correlacional realizado em hospital de urgência em Teresina, estadodo Piauí, de dezembro de 2016 a abril de 2017, com 360 motociclistas acidentados. Realizou-seestatística descritiva, verificaram-se as associações utilizando teste Qui-quadrado e Exato de Fisher.Resultados: prevalência de lesões em homens, com baixa escolaridade, sem habilitação, porémcom motocicleta própria. Constataram-se ainda associações estatisticamente significativasentre ocorrência de lesões na cabeça; existência de habilitação; uso de equipamento protetivo;alcoolemia; lesões em membros inferiores; tempo de condução; e ser economicamente ativo.Conclusão: achados revelam importância da fiscalização para prevenção de acidentes motociclísticos.Direcionam a atenção de pesquisadores da enfermagem e de profissionais que assistem a essapopulação para a importância de ações e campanhas educativas, principalmente dos enfermeirosna atenção primária

The Capoterapia as a Means of Social Inclusion for Elderly Peolpe / Capoterapia Como Meio de Inclusão Social para Idosos

Objetivo: descrever os benefícios da capoterapia como meio de inclusão social para idosos. Métodos: estudo descritivo e transversal, com abordagem qualitativa, realizado com 15 idosos que praticavam regularmente a capoterapia em um Centro de Convivência. Realizaram-se entrevistas mediante um roteiro semiestruturado, em outubro e novembro de 2014. A análise dos dados ocorreu por meio do Discurso do Sujeito Coletivo. Resultados: a prática regular da capoterapia foi uma motivação para a realização de atividades físicas e proporcionou a redução de dores decorrentes de condições crônicas associadas ao envelhecimento; além da formação de novas amizades e aprendizado de conhecimentos sobre o envelhecimento com saúde. Conclusão: é necessário estimular a realização de pesquisas relacionadas aos benefícios de inclusão para idosos em meio social por meio da capoterapia, para ampliar a visibilidade de órgãos públicos e serviços de saúde para cuidado de idosos
