Motivational resources for project teams’ success

    Get PDF
The article explores motivational resources behind the success of project teams. To determine the motivational resources, we develop a comprehensive model of project activity based on the approach proposed by Harvard Business School, according to which we study a subjective assessment of a project’s implementation and its resource potential, the possibilities for realizing motives, satisfaction with intra-group relationships, and job satisfaction. The data were processed with content analysis, comparative and correlation analysis. The study involved 8 project teams, 120 participants aged between 24 and 30. Motivational indicators of the project teams’ success correspond to the high levels of resource assessment and project implementation, assessment of the capability to realize motives in the project, satisfaction indicators (intra-group relationships and job). We revealed an interrelation between the estimate of the capability of motives realization in the project and the estimate of resource potential and project implementation, and the capabilities of employee motives realization in the project. The research results provide a comprehensive overview of the project implementation process, while focusing on the construction of both the motivational system and the communication system within the project

Novel method for refinement of retained austenite in micro/nano-structured bainitic steels

A comparative study was conducted to assess the effects of two different heat treatments on the amount and morphology of the retained austenite in a micro/nano-structured bainitic steel. The heat treatments used in this work were two-stage bainitic transformation and bainitic-partitioning transformation. Both methods resulted in the generation of a multi-phase microstructure containing nanoscale bainitic ferrite, and/or fresh martensitic phases and much finer retained austenite. Both heat treatments were verified to be effective in refining the retained austenite in micro/nano-structured bainite and increasing the hardness. However, the bainitic transformation followed by partitioning cycle was proved to be a more viable approach than the two-stage bainitic transformation due to much shorter processing time, i.e. ∼2 h compared to ∼4 day, respectively

Social correlation of professional educational services and labor market as a vector of successful social and economic development

The article provides the results of a sociological research of university graduates and employers of the Stavropol territory. The systematic study of the key groups of university services consumers' views regarding the regional labour market is substantiated. University graduates perceive their chosen professions through the prism of the delayed in time life prospects and the successful employment which is a current issue for them; only 40% of them directly link their choice to the attractiveness of the profession. Employers in the region note a significant gap between the expected and the actual wages in different types of activities and the complexities of finding employment, which are not directly dependent on the level of the wage.peer-reviewe

BRICS COUNTRIES IN INTERNATIONAL INNOVATION RANKINGS

    Get PDF
The BRICS countries (China, Russia, Brazil, India and South Africa) are the largest emerging markets which are undergoing the processes of economic modernization and restructuring and taking the leading positions on many indicators on the global arena, extending beyond the regional scale. In the article, the positions of the BRICS countries in the international rankings of innovation capabilities will be considered in comparison with the leaders of the global economy. The recommendations for the best results of the BRICS were presented in the articl

Components of Natural Photosynthetic Apparatus in Solar Cells

    Get PDF
Oxygenic photosynthesis is a process of light energy conversion into the chemical energy using water and carbon dioxide. The efficiency of energy conversion in the primary processes of photosynthesis is close to 100%. Therefore, for many years, photosynthesis has attracted the attention of researchers as the most efficient and eco-friendly pathway of solar energy conversion for alternative energy systems. The recent advances in the design of optimal solar cells include the creation of converters, in which thylakoid membranes, photosystems and whole cells of cyanobacteria immobilized on nanostructured electrode are used. As the mechanism of solar energy conversion in photosynthesis is sustainable and environmentally safe, it has a great potential as an example of renewable energy device. Application of pigments such as Chl f and Chl d will extend the spectral diapason of light transforming systems allow to absorb the far-red and near infra-red photons of the spectrum (in the range 700-750 nm). This article presents the recent achievements and challenges in the area of solar cells based on photosynthetic systems
