Seasonal Water "Pump" in the Atmosphere of Mars: Vertical Transport to the Thermosphere
We present results of simulations with the Max Planck Institute general
circulation model (MPI-MGCM) implementing a hydrological cycle scheme. The
simulations reveal a seasonal water "pump" mechanism responsible for the upward
transport of water vapor. This mechanism occurs in high latitudes above
60 of the southern hemisphere at perihelion, when the upward branch of
the meridional circulation is particularly strong. A combination of the mean
vertical flux with variations induced by solar tides facilitates penetration of
water across the "bottleneck" at approximately 60 km. The meridional
circulation then transports water across the globe to the northern hemisphere.
Since the intensity of the meridional cell is tightly controlled by airborne
dust, the water abundance in the thermosphere strongly increases during dust
storms.Comment: 15 pages, 4 figure
Value and Price of Russian Business: The Entity, the Relationship and Impact of Financial Indicators
Topicality: In the article the authors analyze the relationship between the book and market value and the price (level of capitalization) of the business, and also analyze the nature of the relationship of these indicators with the traditional financial ratios. The purpose of the article is to determine the state of these relations in the modern economy of Russia.Practical Usefulness: Determination of materiality influence of financial coefficients which used in traditional financial analysis on value and price of business that gives the chance of forecasting of development and decision-making within management of business` value, and also more effective investment of means in securities.Novelty: In modern Russian economic conditions, only part of the traditional financial ratios has an impact on the prices and business value. The analysis presented in the article indicates the feasibility of forming such a system of indicators, which is more informative in terms of their use for the implementation of value-based analysis and approach for decision-making in the organization
ENHANCED LOW DOSE RATE SENSITIVITY (ELDRS) AND REDUCED LOW DOSE RATE SENSITIVITY (RLDRS) IN BIPOLAR DEVICES
Possible physical mechanism of enhanced low dose rate sensitivity (ELDRS) and reduced low dose rate sensitivity (RLDRS)in bipolar devices is described. Modification of the low dose rate conversion model is presented. The enhanced or reduced sensitivity can be connected with a specific position of the effective Fermi level relatively acceptor and donor radiation-induced interface traps. The qualitative and quantitative analysis of the low dose rate effects is presented. The effect of the oxide trapped charge on the value of the oxide electric field and the yield of the oxide charge were taken into account. It leads to dependence of the accumulation of radiation-induced oxide charge and interface traps on the dose rate. In enhancement version the ELDRS and RLDRS conversion model describes the low dose rate effect in as “true” dose rate effect
Discrete conformal maps and ideal hyperbolic polyhedra
We establish a connection between two previously unrelated topics: a
particular discrete version of conformal geometry for triangulated surfaces,
and the geometry of ideal polyhedra in hyperbolic three-space. Two triangulated
surfaces are considered discretely conformally equivalent if the edge lengths
are related by scale factors associated with the vertices. This simple
definition leads to a surprisingly rich theory featuring M\"obius invariance,
the definition of discrete conformal maps as circumcircle preserving piecewise
projective maps, and two variational principles. We show how literally the same
theory can be reinterpreted to addresses the problem of constructing an ideal
hyperbolic polyhedron with prescribed intrinsic metric. This synthesis enables
us to derive a companion theory of discrete conformal maps for hyperbolic
triangulations. It also shows how the definitions of discrete conformality
considered here are closely related to the established definition of discrete
conformality in terms of circle packings.Comment: 62 pages, 22 figures. v2: typos corrected, references added and

The mathematical modelling of liner movement in a magnetic compressor: elastic, liquid and plastic liner models comparison
The paper is aimed to model the electromagnetic acceleration and braking of the liner in magnetic compressor. The 2D approach corresponding to the longitudinal section of spatial region is considered. Liquid, elastic, and plastic models of the liner are presented. The comparative analysis of calculation results for different models and their correlation with experimental data are carried out. The research of the influence of circuit parameters on liner braking is done
