    Abstrak: Perempuan bisa diartikan sebagai individu dan makhluk sosial yang bergerak bebas diberbagai ruang tempatnya bereksistensi. Masalahnya perempuan terposisikan sebagai objek dalam sistem patriarki. Ide penciptaan ini adalah perempuan dengan segala problematiknya akan diimplementasikan ke dalam lukisan. Fokus penciptaan adalah wujud perempuan imajinatif dalam berbagai gerak di ruang menyerupai labirin. Tujuan penciptaan ini untuk mewujudkan lukisan mixed media dengan objek perempuan, dan memaparkan proses kreatif didasari pandangan Jacques Derrida. Metode penciptaan seni menggunakan pendekatan hermeneutik Jaques Derrida. Hasil penciptaan ini untuk mewujudkan karya lukis mixed media dengan objek perempuan diruang labirin imajinatif, yang memiliki nilai kebaruan dari segi bahan yang digunakan maupun teknik penggarapan. Manfaat penciptaan ini dapat mengedukasi masyarakat melalui lukisan mixed media yang memanfaatkan limbah plastik dan elemen lainnya dalam mewujudkan ke karya lukis. Dengan mendaur ulang sampah menjadi objek estetik dalam bentuk lukisan dapat mengurangi pencemaran lingkungan.Kata kunci: penciptaan karya lukis, perempuan, labirin, hermeneutik Jacques Derrid

    Music and Motion in the Performance Art of Roso Rerasaning Jiwo

    Roso Rerasaning Jiwo is the title of multidisciplinary performance art that combines various fields of art. The purpose of this paper is to describe the relationship between music and the body movements of performers in collaborating to interpret the feelings that are turbulent in the artist’s soul, both spontaneously and in totality. Musical techniques are created extemporaneously and played spontaneously to respond to the performers’ body movements. This creative process focuses on exploring aspects of musical ideas to create interactions between the music, the performers, and the audience through sound, body movements, and dialogue. Each motif in a musical composition contains rhythms that flow spontaneously, following the movements of the performer’s body so as to form an artistic and characteristic unity. It is hoped that through Roso’s performance art Rerasaning Jiwo, this art can be understood and appreciated as a new form that offers novel aesthetic effects.     Analysis of the Local Wisdom on Character Education within the Transmission System of Pottery Culture in Three Pottery Centres in Malang

    A transmission system in arts education is the process of transferring an artistic skill from one generation to another, which also involves local wisdom on character education. This research aims at analysing the local wisdom on character education within the transmission system of pottery culture observed at three different pottery centres in Malang. The study was conducted extensively and thoroughly using a qualitative approach with a phenomenology research design. The researcher conducted intensive interviews, FGDs, observation, and literary study as vital instruments to collect the field data. The data were then reduced, presented, and verified using both data and technique triangulations, and finally analysed using an interactive and interpretative model. The findings of the study are: first, the local wisdom on character education values derived from the transmission system of traditional pottery detected an informal interaction that naturally involves the value of responsibilities, discipline, diligence, respect to the elder, and the awareness on the culture. Second, the local wisdom on character education values within the creative pottery transmission system have a more organized and integrated program of non-formal interaction, which results in the values of independence, creativity, logical thinking, and discipline.     Lampion Hias Bernilai Estetika untuk Meningkatkan Kreativitas Karang Taruna

    Kegiatan pengabdian ini diperuntukkan bagi karang taruna dikawasan wisata Kampung Heritage Kajoetangan Kota Malang. Bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kreativitas peserta, potensi diri dibidang kreatif, menambah pengetahuan dan pengalaman artistik melalui pembuatan lampion hias. Kebutuhan akan pencahayaan dilokasi kawasan wisata bukan hanya untuk keindahan tetapi memeriahkan tampilan permukiman khususnya di malam hari. Pembekalan keterampilan bagi karang taruna sangat diharapkan dan dipastikan untuk kurun waktu tertentu, secara berkesinambungan kawasan ini menjadi sentra industri kreatif berbasis budaya lokal yang memiliki nilai ekonomis yang cukup tinggi. Masalahnya aktivitas karang taruna sangat kurang dibidang kreatif, belum memiliki kompetensi mengembangkan potensi kreatif berolah seni rupa dan kerajinan untuk memperindah lingkungan yang menjadi objek kunjungan wisata sehingga perlu dilatih. Metode yang digunakan diantaranya  pengayaan, metode pembelajaran, metode partisipatif, dan metode evaluasi untuk mengetahui perubahan pengetahuan, keterampilan, dan wawasan/perilaku khalayak sasaran. Manfaat dari kegiatan pelatihan penting untuk meningkatkan kreativitas peserta, mampu berwirausaha, memiliki motivasi tinggi untuk mengembangkan potensi diri, dan menggunakan keterampilan yang dimiliki untuk memperindah, memelihara, dan melestarikan  lingkungan kawasan kampung wisata Kajoetangan.  Kata kunci— lampion hias, kreativitas, Kampung Heritage Kajoetangan Malang. Abstract Community service activity is for young people in the tourism area of Kajoetangan Heritage Village, Malang. Aiming to increase participant's creativity, self potential in the creative field, increase knowledge and artistic experience through making decorative lanterns. The need for lighting in the tourist area is not just for beauty but enliven the appearance of settlements, especially at night. Provision of skills for youth is highly expected and ensured for a certain period of time, this area will continuously become a center for creative industries based on local culture that has a high economic value. The problem is that the activities of the youth group are very lacking in the creative field, and do not yet have the competence to develop the creative potential to work in the arts and crafts to beautify the environment that is the object of a tourist visit so they need to be trained. The methods used include enrichment, learning methods, participatory methods, and evaluation methods to determine changes in knowledge, skills, and insights/behavior of the target audience. The benefits of the training activities are important to increase the creativity of the participants, being able to become entrepreneurs, have high motivation to develop their potential, and use their skills to beautify, maintain, and preserve the environment of the Kajoetangan tourist village. Keywords— ornamental lanterns, creativity, Kampung Heritage Kajoetangan Malan

    The Transmission Flow of Pottery in Malang as the Representation of Art Education

    This research aimed to analyze the flow of transmission for pottery skills in three centers of pottery in Malang: Penanggungan. Glanggang and Pagelaran Village. A qualitative approach was used through the phenomenology research design. The researchers conducted in-depth interviews and observations, and studied references. After the data were collected, they were reduced, presented, and verified. Triangulation was carried out to determine the validity of the data. Data were analyzed using the interactive model. This research produced two flows of pottery transmission. In the first flow, traditional pottery craftsmen in Malang transmit the traditional pottery skills from parents to their biological children; however, in the development, it can be transmitted to the wife/husband and/or to the child in law. In the second flow, creative pottery skills in Malang are transmitted from instructors to craftsmen through education and training; however, not all craftsmen who complete the education and training will always be a creative craftsman.     Stone Tiles: Unique Souvenirs for the Sanan Malang Educational Tourism Destination

    Malang has several thematic tourist destinations, one of which is the village of Sanan. Sanan is known as an educational tourism destination. As the center of the tempe industry, the people of Sanan are able to process tempe into 50 types of preparations, such as tempeh chips with various flavors, tempeh satay, mendol sticks, tempeh brownies, dry tempeh, and nata de soya. Some Sanan people also use the soybean waste to feed their cattle. Many local tourists visit Sanan Village, including school students, university students, employees from government and private agencies, civilian officials, military officers and businessmen. Unfortunately, this tourist destination does not yet have any unique souvenirs which represent the identity of Sanan, and can be used for promotion and as keepsakes for tourists. Because of this, a group of mothers who are members of the Sanan community were given training to make special souvenirs in the form of decorative stones or painting stones with the medium of andesite stone tiles.
