Every day, traffic is having a daily increase. This trend allows to offer a product with less
time of transportation than using a car, observing that there is an opportunity to focus in
an objective maket in Lima Metropolitana.
The study product in mention is an electric scooter with safety accesories and a
front bag to carry daily articles like keys, cell phones, wallets, etc. First, levels of product
were described; and marketing, pricing, and distribution policies were detailed. Then,
historic data of imports, survey results, and a market study were combined to obtain a
demand for 2 862 electric scooters for the year 2025, which will be offered with a sales
price of S/ 2 299,00.
A location study was conduced and the optimal result for the project is:
department of Lima and district of Lurin. In regards to plant size, it will be market size
because there is not a raw material, technology and equal point restriction.
The total area of the plant, including production and administration, is 209 square
meters; with eight and five employees per area respectively.
Product engineering was develop, which included specifications, line balance to
obtain quantity of stalls, machinery features, number of production employees, and plant
dimensions.
Furthermore, economic and financial evaluation were analyzed to confirm if the
project is profitable using the following indicators: an economic NPV of S/ 425 353, IRR
of 21,8%, and B/C of 1,30; and financial NPV of S/ 562 894, IRR of 32,8%, and B/C of
1,96. Finally, demand and price are the most sensitive variables of the project because an
increase in one of them will represent a better profit
Social vulnerability to climatic shocks is shaped by urban accessibility
Despite growing interest in urban vulnerability to climatic change, there is no systematic understanding of why some urban centers have greater social vulnerability than others. In this article, we ask whether the social vulnerability of Amazonian cities to floods and droughts is linked to differences in their spatial accessibility. To assess the accessibility of 310 urban centers, we developed a travel network and derived measures of connectivity and geographical remoteness. We found that 914,654 people live in roadless urban centers (n = 68) located up to 2,820km from their state capital. We then tested whether accessibility measures explained interurban differences in quantitative measures of social sensitivity, adaptive capacity, and an overlooked risk area, food system sensitivity. Accessibility explained marked variation in indicators of each of these dimensions and, hence, for the first time, we show an underlying spatial basis for social vulnerability. For instance, floods pose a greater disease risk in less accessible urban centers because inadequate sanitation in these places exposes inhabitants to environmental pollution and contaminated water, exacerbated by poverty and governance failures. Exploring the root causes of these spatial inequalities, we show how remote and roadless cities in Amazonia have been historically marginalized and their citizens exposed to structural violence and economic disadvantage. Paradoxically, we found that places with the highest social vulnerability have the greatest natural and cultural assets (rainforest, indigenous peoples, and protected areas). We conclude that increasing accessibility through road building would be maladaptive, exposing marginalized people to further harm and exacerbating climatic change by driving deforestation
Narcissistic Self-Sorting of n-Acene Nano-Ribbons yielding Energy-Transfer and Electroluminescence at p-n Junctions
The 2,3-didecyloxy-derivative of an n-type anthracene (n-BG) and a p-type tetracene (p-R) have been synthesized and their self-assembly into nano-ribbons studied. Hyperspectral fluorescence imaging revealed their narcissistic self-sorting, leading to separated nanoribbons emitting with very different colors (blue or green for n-BG, depending on the growth solvent, and red for p-R). It is unique that the usual origins of self-sorting, such as specific H-bonding, different growth kinetics, or incompatible steric hindrance can be ruled out. Hence, the narcissistic behaviour is herein proposed to originate from a sofar unconsidered cause: the discrepancy between the quadrupolar character of n-BG and dipolar character of p-R. At the pn-junctions of these nanoribbons, inter-ribbon FRET and electro-luminescence switch-on were observed by fluorescence microscopy.Modulation of Organic Optic Information InterfacesFabrication Supramoléculaire de Dispositifs OLED Haute Résolution par voie ImprimableSoft Materials Advanced Research Training Networ

A systematic review and meta-analysis of artificial intelligence diagnostic accuracy in prostate cancer histology identification and grading
[Background] Artificial intelligence (AI) is a promising tool in pathology, including cancer diagnosis, subtyping, grading, and prognostic prediction.[Methods] The aim of the study is to assess AI application in prostate cancer (PCa) histology. We carried out a systematic literature search in 3 databases. Primary outcome was AI accuracy in differentiating between PCa and benign hyperplasia. Secondary outcomes were AI accuracy in determining Gleason grade and agreement among AI and pathologists.[Results] Our final sample consists of 24 studies conducted from 2007 to 2021. They aggregate data from roughly 8000 cases of prostate biopsy and 458 cases of radical prostatectomy (RP). Sensitivity for PCa diagnostic exceeded 90% and ranged from 87% to 100%, and specificity varied from 68% to 99%. Overall accuracy ranged from 83.7% to 98.3% with AUC reaching 0.99. The meta-analysis using the Mantel-Haenszel method showed pooled sensitivity of 0.96 with I2 = 80.7% and pooled specificity of 0.95 with I2 = 86.1%. Pooled positive likehood ratio was 15.3 with I2 = 87.3% and negative – was 0.04 with I2 = 78.6%. SROC (symmetric receiver operating characteristics) curve represents AUC = 0.99. For grading the accuracy of AI was lower: sensitivity for Gleason grading ranged from 77% to 87%, and specificity from 82% to 90%.[Conclusions] The accuracy of AI for PCa identification and grading is comparable to expert pathologists. This is a promising approach which has several possible clinical applications resulting in expedite and optimize pathology reports. AI introduction into common practice may be limited by difficult and time-consuming convolutional neural network training and tuning.Peer reviewe

Neuroimaging has informed our understanding of the neurobiology of anxiety disorders, but research has been limited by small sample sizes and low statistical power, as well as heterogenous imaging methodology. The ENIGMA-Anxiety Working Group has brought together researchers from around the world, in a harmonized and coordinated effort to address these challenges and generate more robust and reproducible findings. This paper elaborates on the concepts and methods informing the work of the working group to date, and describes the initial approach of the four subgroups studying generalized anxiety disorder, panic disorder, social anxiety disorder, and specific phobia. At present, the ENIGMA-Anxiety database contains information about more than 100 unique samples, from 16 countries and 59 institutes. Future directions include examining additional imaging modalities, integrating imaging and genetic data, and collaborating with other ENIGMA working groups. The ENIGMA consortium creates synergy at the intersection of global mental health and clinical neuroscience, and the ENIGMA-Anxiety Working Group extends the promise of this approach to neuroimaging research on anxiety disorders
