Unbiased estimators for the Heston model with stochastic interest rates

We combine the unbiased estimators in Rhee and Glynn (Operations Research: 63(5), 1026-1043, 2015) and the Heston model with stochastic interest rates. Specifically, we first develop a semi-exact log-Euler scheme for the Heston model with stochastic interest rates. Then, under mild assumptions, we show that the convergence rate in the L2L^2 norm is O(h)O(h), where hh is the step size. The result applies to a large class of models, such as the Heston-Hull-While model, the Heston-CIR model and the Heston-Black-Karasinski model. Numerical experiments support our theoretical convergence rate

Poetics of Cross-Cultural Relation: Critical Performances by Artists kate-hers RHEE and Patty Chang

    Get PDF
This article explores anti-racist, feminist performance and video art by kate-hers RHEE and Patty Chang. Parodic performances of awkward sexual encounters in works such as RHEE’s The Chocolate Kiss (2013) and Chang’s The Product Love (2009) embody and deconstruct identity formation within transnational German and Asian American contexts. I explore how RHEE and Chang distinctly challenge sexist and racist stereotypes and the objectification of Asian women, while problematizing cultural categorization through (mis)translations and poetic relations. The article illuminates how these artists complicate Asian American identities via variegated explorations of critical race theories and connected histories of cross-cultural representation

Characterization of the DuPont photopolymer for three-dimensional holographic storage

    Get PDF
DuPont's HRF-150 photopolymer film is investigated for use in three-dimensional holographic memories. Measurements of sensitivity, hologram persistence, the lateral spread of the photoinitiated reaction, and the variation of diffraction efficiency with modulation depth, spatial frequency and tilt angle, and intensity are reported. We observed that the diffraction efficiency of the HRF-150 photopolymer for a given exposure decreases with increases in intensity and grating tilt angle. The holograms were nondestructively reconstructed for long periods of time at room temperature. The photoinitiated reaction spread less than 100 Âľm over a period of 16 h

ChlamyCyc - a comprehensive database and web-portal centered on _Chlamydomonas reinhardtii_

    Get PDF
*Background* - The unicellular green alga _Chlamydomonas reinhardtii_ is an important eukaryotic model organism for the study of photosynthesis and growth, as well as flagella development and other cellular processes. In the era of high-throughput technologies there is an imperative need to integrate large-scale data sets from high-throughput experimental techniques using computational methods and database resources to provide comprehensive information about the whole cellular system of a single organism.
*Results* - In the framework of the German Systems Biology initiative GoFORSYS a pathway/genome database and web-portal for _Chlamydomonas reinhardtii_ (ChlamyCyc) was established, which currently features about 270 metabolic pathways with related genes, enzymes, and compound information. ChlamyCyc was assembled using an integrative approach combining the recently published genome sequence, bioinformatics methods, and experimental data from metabolomics and proteomics experiments. We analyzed and integrated a combination of primary and secondary database resources, such as existing genome annotations from JGI, EST collections, orthology information, and MapMan classification.
*Conclusion* - Chlamycyc provides a curated and integrated systems biology repository that will enable and assist in systematic studies of fundamental cellular processes in _Chlamydomonas reinhardtii_. The ChlamyCyc database and web-portal is freely available under http://chlamycyc.mpimp-golm.mpg.de
