We report the structural, spectroscopic, and computational studies of two new Re(I) tricarbonyl complexes bearing 2,3,6,7-tetraphenyl-1,4,5,8-tetraazaphenanthrene (Ph4TAP) and 4,5-diazafluoren-9-one (Dafone) having a coordinated perrhenate group obtained via in situ superoxidation of Re(I) to Re(VII); intramolecular and intermolecular n→π* interactions are dominant and stabilize the molecular geometry and crystal packing

Prediction of Boundary Layer Transition Based on Modeling of Laminar Fluctuations Using RANS Approach

    Get PDF
AbstractThis article presents a linear eddy-viscosity turbulence model for predicting bypass and natural transition in boundary layers by using Reynolds-averaged Navier-Stokes (RANS) equations. The model includes three transport equations, separately, to compute laminar kinetic energy, turbulent kinetic energy, and dissipation rate in a flow field. It needs neither correlations of intermittency factors nor knowledge of the transition onset. Two transition tests are carried out: flat plate boundary layer under zero and non-zero pressure gradients with different freestream turbulence intensities, and transitional flow over a wind turbine blade at a chord Reynolds number of 3×106. Results are presented in terms of skin friction coefficients. Comparison with the experimental data from both tests evidences a good agreement there is between them

Imaginations in poets' poetry are the achievement of a kind of experience and awareness that the poet gains from his surroundings. Attar is one of the great mystics and poets of the vast field of Persian literature. With his painful mysticism, he has led the lovers of the path of conduct through seven valleys. Basically, some mystics were closely acquainted with hearing and music, and Attar is one of the most prominent of them. The purpose of this study is to study the forms of imagination in musical applications - terms, words and instruments - Attar's poetry. Studies have shown that Attar has refined his mystical thinking by using the thoughtfulness of musical terms. In this research, the author has extracted verses in which musical terms and instruments have no musical purpose. But from the point of view of imagination and poetic point of view, it was important that it be studied

Image or imagination, ink and paste are the main themes of poetry, and since the end of the sixth century, which is one of the most fertile periods of Persian literature, the poets of this period freely imposed many poetic fantasies on Persian literature, And for centuries, with various acquisitions, they were influential in the poetry of the poets of the generations after them (Shafiee, 1999, pp. 404 and 405). The use of abstract and difficult philosophical and philosophical concepts in mystical poetic works has been common in various ways and forms in the form of allegorical anecdotes, educational stories and moral sermons. And provides various perspectives for the study and evaluation of such works. Attar Neyshabouri also believes that the world is a picture of the beauty of truth that reflects all the beauties of the beloved in itself, and one can easily see the attributes of beauty in the world and creatures. Since Attar Neyshabouri is both a poet, a Sufi and a sage, his works can be examined from three mystical, philosophical and literary perspectives. Attar Neyshabouri's works, such as his Masnavi, are among the mystical works in which the poet has used legal and philosophical themes and terms in accordance with the subject. He has also benefited greatly from the elements of imagery in order to make his words effective. In this discourse, the method of illustration and the method of using the elements of imagination, such as simile, metaphor, permission, irony, have been evaluated

Seventeen patients were randomly assigned to receive bevacizumab augmentation after trabeculectomy, and 20 patients were assigned to a control group receiving a placebo injection of normal saline. Bevacizumab was injected subconjunctivally at a dose of 0.2 mg. Intraocular pressure was measured on eight occasions, ie, at baseline, 24 hours, 3 days, 7 days, 2 weeks, 1 month, 2 months, and 3 months after treatment. Results: Men constituted 81% of the participants, who were of mean age 67.5 years. Twenty-nine patients had secondary open-angle glaucoma, while eight patients had primary open-angle glaucoma. Intraocular pressure decreased from a mean of 28.4 mmHg at baseline to a mean of 12.1 mmHg during the first day and to 15.1 mmHg after 3 months. Adding bevacizumab to trabeculectomy was not found to affect intraocular pressure differently to placebo. Neither the results of repeated measurements analysis nor single comparison statistical tests were significant for a difference in efficacy of bevacizumab versus placebo. Conclusion: Subconjunctival bevacizumab 0.2 mg was not found to affect the trend in intraocular pressure more than placebo after trabeculectomy for open-angle glaucoma. Keywords: glaucoma, trabeculectomy, bevacizumab, antivascular endothelial growth factor agent
