The purpose of this study was to find out the effect of free hand exercises on circulatory system and respiratory system. For the purpose of this study total sixty (60) students were randomly selected who were studying in Bachelor of Physical Education and Master of Physical Education course from Department of Physical Education, Institute of Professional Studies, Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, India. All the subjects were divided into two group's i.e. experimental group and control group and each group have thirty (30) students. Experimental group was received forty five (45) minutes of training per day except Sunday for duration of eight (08) weeks. The subject's age was ranging between 20 to 25 years. Paired „t" test was used and the level of significance was set at 0.05. All the statistical calculations were made through Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) version 16.0. The results of this study reveal that free hand exercises have no effect on circulatory system and respiratory system

The purpose of this study was to compare the sports competition anxiety test between college level chess and cricket players. For the purpose of the study, forty (40) male chess players and forty (40) male cricket players were randomly selected as the subject for this study. The subject age was ranged between 20 to 25 years. In this study sports competition anxiety test (SCAT, Martens et al., 1990) questionnaire was used to measure sports competition anxiety. Sports competition anxiety test questionnaire was distributed between the chess and cricket players one hour before the competition. The hypothesis selected for this study that there would be no significant difference between the chess and cricket players. Descriptive statistics (mean and standard deviation) and independent‘t’ test were used to analysis the data. The level of significance was set at 0.05. The mean score chess players was 19.20 and cricket players was 22.60. The calculated‘t’ value was 3.95 which showed that significant difference was found between chess players and cricket players (calculated‘t’ 3.95 > tabulated‘t’ 1.99)

Efficiency of S&P CNX Nifty Index Option of the National Stock Exchange (NSE), India, using Box Spread Arbitrage Strategy

Box spread is a trading strategy in which one simultaneously buys and sells options having the same underlying asset and time to expiration, but different exercise prices. This study examined the efficiency of European style S&P CNX Nifty Index options of National Stock Exchange, (NSE) India by making use of high-frequency data on put and call options written on Nifty (Time-stamped transactions data) for the time period between 1st January 2002 and 31st December 2005 using box-spread arbitrage strategy. The advantages of box-spreads include reduced joint hypothesis problem since there is no consideration of pricing model or market equilibrium, no consideration of inter-market non-synchronicity since trading box spreads involve only one market, computational simplicity with less chances of mis-specification error, estimation error and the fact that buying and selling box spreads more or less replicates risk-free lending and borrowing. One thousand three hundreds and fifty eight exercisable box-spreads were found for the time period considered of which 78 Box spreads were found to be profitable after incorporating transaction costs (32 profitable box spreads were identified for the year 2002, 19 in 2003, 14 in 2004 and 13 in 2005) The results of our study suggest that internal option market efficiency has improved over the years for S&P CNX Nifty Index options of NSE India.

Optical, Thermal and Topological Characterization of Quaternary Se65Ge15Te20-aSba Chalcogenide Glasses

Se-Te based chalcogenide glasses have been found suitable for optical memory devices due to their distinct amorphous-to-crystalline transformation. In the present work alloys of Se65Ge15Te20-aSba (a = 3, 6, 9, 12, 15, 18) glasses have been synthesized using melt quench technique. Author report investigations leading to optical, thermal and topological properties of these glasses by varying the concentrations of Te and Sb. Glass transition and crystallization kinetics of alloys have been investigated using differential thermal analysis at different heating rates (5, 10, 15, and 20 Kmin-1). The results so obtained verify the usefulness of above composition

Unusual presentation of fibrolamellar carcinoma: A rare case report

Fibrolamellar hepatocellular carcinoma (fHCC) is a distinct type of first time used hence- hepatocellular carcinoma affecting particularly young patient with no gender predilection. However, there is increasing evidence of occurrence of this tumor in elderly patients also. Abdominal imaging with pre-operative biopsy provides accurate diagnosis. However, in difficult situations, CD68, cytokeratin 7, HepPar1, etc., immunohistochemical stains provide accurate diagnosis to differentiate this condition from other malignancies. Hereby, we present a case of fHCC in a 55-year-old female with equivocal imaging features and diagnosis was made by histopathology aided by immunohistochemistry

SteelCore: An extensible concurrent separation logic for effectful dependently typed programs

    Get PDF
Much recent research has been devoted to modeling effects within type theory. Building on this work, we observe that effectful type theories can provide a foundation on which to build semantics for more complex programming constructs and program logics, extending the reasoning principles that apply within the host effectful type theory itself. Concretely, our main contribution is a semantics for concurrent separation logic (CSL) within the F* proof assistant in a manner that enables dependently typed, effectful F* programs to make use of concurrency and to be specified and verified using a full-featured, extensible CSL. In contrast to prior approaches, we directly derive the partial-correctness Hoare rules for CSL from the denotation of computations in the effectful semantics of non-deterministically interleaved atomic actions. Demonstrating the flexibility of our semantics, we build generic, verified libraries that support various concurrency constructs, ranging from dynamically allocated, storable spin locks, to protocol-indexed channels. We conclude that our effectful semantics provides a simple yet expressive basis on which to layer domain-specific languages and logics for verified, concurrent programming.Fil: Swamy, Nikhil.
