Situs inversus is a rare condition with a genetic predisposition, where in organs are transposed from their normal location to the opposite side of the body with an incidence of 1 in 10000 live births. If Situs Inversus is associated with other congenital anomalies the survival rate is low. So prenatal diagnosis is essential to detect any associated anomalies. During routine fetal autopsies conducted in the department of anatomy, Mysore medical college, Mysore, a rare interesting case of still born baby with gestational age of 20 weeks was observed. Autopsy findings of external examination revealed kyphosis in thoracic region. Thoracotomy revealed heart on the right side (dextrocardia). Laparotomy revealed that the left lobe of liver was bigger than the right. The gall bladder was present on the visceral surface of the left lobe of liver, stomach was on right side, duodenum on left side, pancreas and spleen were on the right side. There was agenesis of right kidney, right ureter and both suprarenal glands. All the above findings correlate with the condition situs inversus. Situs inversus is a rare condition with a genetic predisposition, it’s etiology lies in the mutation of chromosome no 12, which is critical for recognition of right sidedness.1,2 Even though there is transposition of organs in situs inversus, the survival rate is good but if situs inversus is associated with other congenital anomalies the survival rate is low. So prenatal diagnosis is essential to detect any associated anomalies to bring down mortality rate

Tandemovou 1,2-adicí/rutheniem katalyzovanou redoxní izomerizací/oxidací vzniklých enolátů/radikálovou dimerizací byly připraveny 1,4-diketony a výsledky byly porovnány s přípravou 1,4-diketonů oxidativním kaplinkem enolátů ketonů. Byla provedena totální syntéza vybraných lignanů s tetrahydrofuranovým jádrem z 1,4-diketonů připravených tandemovou adicí/izomerizací/dimerizací.This work deals with the development of methodology, which couples reactive intermediates of varying oxidation states, in tandem sequences comprising 1,2-organometallic addition/transition metal catalyzed isomerization/Michael addition/SET oxidation/radical cyclization/oxygenation steps in the synthesis of highly functionalized carbocycles. Implementation of this sequence being catalytic in the SET oxidant was studied. 1,4-Diketones were synthesized in a tandem 1,2-addition/ruthenium-catalyzed redox isomerization/enolates oxidation/radical dimerization reaction and results were compared with 1,4-diketones formation via oxidative coupling of ketone enolates. The total synthesis of selective tetrahydrofuran lignans from 1,4-diketones obtained in a tandem addition/isomerization/dimerization reaction is also documentedKatedra organické chemieDepartment of Organic ChemistryPřírodovědecká fakultaFaculty of Scienc

In today’s information era information hiding becomes very much important as people transmits the information as innocent as credit card to online stores and as dangerous as terrorist plot to hijackers. The art of information hiding receive attention of the researchers. This paper provides a review of two methods – Visual Cryptography and Steganography for secure communication via a common communication channel. DOI: 10.17762/ijritcc2321-8169.16043

Construction is one of the significant sectors of Indian economy and is an integral part of the development. Today India’s urban population is the second largest in the world and its future development leads to increased demand for housing to cope with this problem India should desperately need to plan for acquisition of land and rapid creation of dwelling units. Construction is a complex process involving basically the areas of Architectural planning, Engineering & Construction. There is growing realization today that speed of construction needs to be given greater importance especially for large housing projects. This is not only essential for the faster turnover of equipment and investment – leading possible to the reduction in the housing cost but also for achieving the national objective of creating a large stock to overcome shortest possible time. Fortunately, some of the advanced technologies catering to faster speed of construction are already available in the country. For e.g. Prefabrication, autoclaved blocks, tunnel formwork, aluminium formwork (MIVAN Technology) of construction etc.   The aluminium formwork system was developed by Malaysian Company and that’s why the aluminium formwork technology is named after it. Mivan is an aluminium formwork system used widely in the construction of residential units and mass housing projects. It is fast, simple, adaptable, durable and cost effective, produces total quality work which requires minimum maintenance. This system suitable for Indian condition as a tailor made aluminium formwork for cast-in-situ fully concrete structure.  Mivan is new construction technology upcoming for successful completion of mass housing project in India. In this project we have discussed about cost comparison of mivan technology with conventional construction technology. The Mivan technology is absolutely fine with cost, quality and time saving as compare to conventional

Introduction: Seizures are more common in the neonatal period than in any other stage and affects approximately 1% of all neonates. Amongst neurological disorders, seizures are the most common in neonates. The study was conducted to determine the aetiology and clinical profile of neonatal seizures. Materials and Methodology: This study was designed to be a hospital based prospective observational study was undertaken in the in the hospital attached neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), RIMS, Raichur. A total of 500 neonates presenting with seizures or who developed seizures in hospital from 01 February 2022 to 31 May 2022 were enrolled in the study. All neonates (age 0 – 28 days) who presented to the hospital with history of seizures or who develop seizures during the course of hospital stay were taken into study. Detailed antenatal history examination and clinical details of each seizure episode reported by the mother and subsequently observed by the resident doctors on duty were recorded. Results: Among these 405 patients (81%) were from rural areas and 95 patients (19%) were from urban areas.&nbsp

Diffuse Cutaneous Leishmaniasis in an HIV Sero-Positive Patient - A Diagnostic Dilemma

    No full text
Cutaneous leishmaniasis is caused by an intracellular protozoan parasite belonging to the genus leishmania and is transmitted by the bite of a female sandfly. Diffuse cutaneous forms of leishmaniasis are rare. We report a case of HIV Sero-positive patient presenting with diffuse skin lesions with initial skin biopsy reported as inadequate and later fine needle aspiration cytology was advised which revealed clusters of macrophages with amastigotes of leishmania and a repeat skin biopsy showed the amastigotes. To conclude, cutaneous leishmaniasis should also be suspected in non-endemic areas, as in our case especially in HIV infected patients and fine needle aspiration should be advised for early diagnosis and treatment.
