Non elliptic SPDEs and ambit fields: existence of densities
Relying on the method developed in [debusscheromito2014], we prove the
existence of a density for two different examples of random fields indexed by
(t,x)\in(0,T]\times \Rd. The first example consists of SPDEs with Lipschitz
continuous coefficients driven by a Gaussian noise white in time and with a
stationary spatial covariance, in the setting of [dalang1999]. The density
exists on the set where the nonlinearity of the noise does not vanish.
This complements the results in [sanzsuess2015] where is assumed to be
bounded away from zero. The second example is an ambit field with a stochastic
integral term having as integrator a L\'evy basis of pure-jump, stable-like
type.Comment: 23 page
Generalized Gravi-Electromagnetism
A self consistant and manifestly covariant theory for the dynamics of four
charges (masses) (namely electric, magnetic, gravitational, Heavisidian) has
been developed in simple, compact and consistent manner. Starting with an
invariant Lagrangian density and its quaternionic representation, we have
obtained the consistent field equation for the dynamics of four charges. It has
been shown that the present reformulation reproduces the dynamics of individual
charges (masses) in the absence of other charge (masses) as well as the
generalized theory of dyons (gravito - dyons) in the absence gravito - dyons
(dyons). key words: dyons, gravito - dyons, quaternion PACS NO: 14.80H
A Framework for Enhancing Contractor-Subcontractor Relationships in Construction Projects in Nigeria
The delivery capability of main contractors depends largely on the quality of their
subcontractors and the harmonious relationships that exist between them. Research work was
therefore conducted to identify the mechanisms to facilitate the understanding between these
pairs and also develop a model that puts emphasis on the factors. To achieve this aim, one
hundred questionnaires each were administered randomly to main contractors and labor-only
subcontractors in the study area. Seventy-five and eighty-eight questionnaires were respectively
filled and returned in this regard. The application of total weight value and rating index techniques shows that type of contract, scope of contract, payment terms, cooperative attitudes, third-party involvement are the main factors that influence this relationship and this was further validated by a model. The paper concludes that this methodology could culminate into a useful decision making tool for both main contractors and subcontractors during the development and
execution stages of construction projects in the study area
Bond-rearrangement and ionization mechanisms in the photo-double-ionization of simple hydrocarbons (C2H4, C2H3F, and 1,1-C2H2F2) near and above threshold
Citation: Gaire, B., Gatton, A., Wiegandt, F., Neff, J., Janke, C., Zeller, S., . . . Weber, T. (2016). Bond-rearrangement and ionization mechanisms in the photo-double-ionization of simple hydrocarbons (C2H4, C2H3F, and 1,1-C2H2F2) near and above threshold. Physical Review A, 94(3), 8. doi:10.1103/PhysRevA.94.033412We investigate bond-rearrangement driven by photo-double-ionization (PDI) near and above the double-ionization threshold in a sequence of carbon-carbon double-bonded hydrocarbon molecules: ethylene, fluoroethylene, and 1,1-difluoroethylene. We employ the kinematically complete cold target recoil ion momentum spectroscopy method to resolve all photo-double-ionization events leading to two-ion fragments. We observe changes in the branching ratios of different dissociative ionization channels depending on the presence of no, one, or two fluorine atoms. The role of the fluorine atom in the bond-rearrangement channels is intriguing, as evident by the reordering of the threshold energies of the PDI in the fluorinated molecules. These effects offer a compelling argument that the electronegativity of the fluorine (or the polarity of the molecule) strongly influences the potential energy surfaces of the molecules and drives bond rearrangement during the dissociation process. The energy sharing and the relative angle between the three-dimensional momentum vectors of the two electrons enable us to distinguish between knockout and other ionization mechanisms of the PDI processes
Full potential LAPW calculation of electron momentum density and related properties of Li
Electron momentum density and Compton profiles in Lithium along , and directions are calculated using Full-Potential Linear
Augmented Plane Wave basis within generalized gradient approximation. The
profiles have been corrected for correlations with Lam-Platzman formulation
using self-consistent charge density. The first and second derivatives of
Compton profiles are studied to investigate the Fermi surface breaks. Decent
agreement is observed between recent experimental and our calculated values.
Our values for the derivatives are found to be in better agreement with
experiments than earlier theoretical results. Two-photon momentum density and
one- and two-dimensional angular correlation of positron annihilation radiation
are also calculated within the same formalism and including the
electron-positron enhancement factor.Comment: 11 pages, 7 figures TO appear in Physical Review
Measurement of pion, kaon and proton production in proton-proton collisions at TeV
The measurement of primary , K, p and
production at mid-rapidity ( 0.5) in proton-proton collisions at
TeV performed with ALICE (A Large Ion Collider Experiment) at
the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) is reported. Particle identification is
performed using the specific ionization energy loss and time-of-flight
information, the ring-imaging Cherenkov technique and the kink-topology
identification of weak decays of charged kaons. Transverse momentum spectra are
measured from 0.1 up to 3 GeV/ for pions, from 0.2 up to 6 GeV/ for kaons
and from 0.3 up to 6 GeV/ for protons. The measured spectra and particle
ratios are compared with QCD-inspired models, tuned to reproduce also the
earlier measurements performed at the LHC. Furthermore, the integrated particle
yields and ratios as well as the average transverse momenta are compared with
results at lower collision energies.Comment: 33 pages, 19 captioned figures, 3 tables, authors from page 28,

Comparison of Results of Calibration of Isolation Current Transformer by Conventional Method Two Power Comparator Method
This paper describes the calibration of Isolation Current Transformer by two methods, by conventional method and by two comparator based calibration method. A conventional method has limitations that we get fixed ratios and hence can go up to lower value of 1A. The uncertainties of the calibration system are in the order of 0.005 % for the ratio error and 0.01 crad for the phase displacement of the current transformer at 50 Hz. The power comparator based measurements can be done at test currents from 10 mA to 160A
Post-partum follow-up of women with gestational diabetes mellitus: Effectiveness, determinants, and barriers
Background: Despite the recommendations for postpartum blood glucose monitoring post gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM); scientific evidence reveals that these recommendations may not be fully complied to. This study aimed to follow-up women up to 2 years post-delivery with pregnancies complicated by GDM and healthy controls to assess this fact. Methods: Women with GDM (n = 78) and normal glucose tolerant (n = 89) delivered in 2014 were followed up for 2 years. They were informed and enquired via telephone about their blood glucose screening, physical activity, postpartum complications, and current weight status of mother and baby. Results: Women with previous GDM were older and reported higher body weight 2 years post-delivery. At the 2 year follow-up, n = 11 (14.1%) participants had developed diabetes, all with previous GDM. Both weight at birth (3.8 ± 0.5 kg) and at 2-year (10.7 ± 2.3 kg) for the babies born to GDM mothers was significantly higher than the NGT group babies (2.6 ± 0.63 and 7.1 ± 1.4 kg; p \u3c .05). Only 27 women regularly opted for T2DM screening via monitoring blood glucose or HbA1c levels postpartum. The top reason for failed screening included: believing that GDM would disappear after delivery, and being occupied with the baby. Conclusions: The high incidence of T2DM in women with previous GDM is an alarming finding. Given this trend, systematic follow-up programs are needed to reduce obesity and diabetes risk
Measurement of an excess in the yield of J/ at very low in Pb-Pb collisions at = 2.76 TeV
We report on the first measurement of an excess in the yield of J/ at
very low transverse momentum ( GeV/) in peripheral hadronic
Pb-Pb collisions at = 2.76 TeV, performed by ALICE at the
CERN LHC. Remarkably, the measured nuclear modification factor of J/ in
the rapidity range reaches about 7 (2) in the range 0-0.3
GeV/ in the 70-90% (50-70%) centrality class. The J/ production cross
section associated with the observed excess is obtained under the hypothesis
that coherent photoproduction of J/ is the underlying physics mechanism.
If confirmed, the observation of J/ coherent photoproduction in Pb-Pb
collisions at impact parameters smaller than twice the nuclear radius opens new
theoretical and experimental challenges and opportunities. In particular,
coherent photoproduction accompanying hadronic collisions may provide insight
into the dynamics of photoproduction and nuclear reactions, as well as become a
novel probe of the Quark-Gluon Plasma.Comment: 18 pages, 3 captioned figures, 1 table, authors from page 13,

Multifractal stationary random measures and multifractal random walks with log-infinitely divisible scaling laws
We define a large class of continuous time multifractal random measures and
processes with arbitrary log-infinitely divisible exact or asymptotic scaling
law. These processes generalize within a unified framework both the recently
defined log-normal Multifractal Random Walk (MRW) [Bacry-Delour-Muzy] and the
log-Poisson "product of cynlindrical pulses" [Barral-Mandelbrot]. Our
construction is based on some ``continuous stochastic multiplication'' from
coarse to fine scales that can be seen as a continuous interpolation of
discrete multiplicative cascades. We prove the stochastic convergence of the
defined processes and study their main statistical properties. The question of
genericity (universality) of limit multifractal processes is addressed within
this new framework. We finally provide some methods for numerical simulations
and discuss some specific examples.Comment: 24 pages, 4 figure
