The urbanization causing the number of residents in the city increase turn out to be a global issue. It gives impact towards the quality of life of the residents as a whole. One of the component in the life quality index is about housing, thus it is important to re-evaluate the needs of providing housing to the residents in the city, especially for low income group in Kuala Lumpur. The public housing program namely Program Perumahan Rakyat (PPR) Dimiliki and PPR Bersepadu are among the programs that help the low income group to have their own homes in Kuala Lumpur. Besides giving access to accommodation, the program is able to enhance the life quality indicator of the town folks. Nevertheless, a proper effective and comprehensive planning and administrations of the housing is very much needed to handle the urbanization challenges to ensure sustainable development is achieved

    Get PDF
Background: The performance outcome model in qualitative technique analysis can determine the mechanical interactions between a performance outcome and the factors that yield such results in sports techniques. Very little attention has been received for badminton forehand shots for such model work, considering the significance of this technical skill as fundamental to play badminton and as important offensive shots. Objective: This study proposes a performance outcome model that associates performance criteria and relevant mechanical variables in the badminton forehand shot technique. Methods: Literature review provided the basis of model development. The Literature research in this paper was conducted in the following databases; PubMed, ScienceDirect, Google Scholar Medline, Pedro, and Cinahl. An additional search (including relevant grey literature) was also done on the internet through ResearchGate. Relevant literature research related to the keywords such as biomechanics of badminton, badminton forehand shot, biomechanical analysis, badminton performance, racquet sports, performance indicators, technique analysis and technique models were included and reviewed. Results: The results managed to present a synthesis of the literature review and provided constructive discussions as a basis to propose a performance outcome model that illustrates mechanical interactions that contribute to badminton forehand and shot technique performance. Conclusions: This model manages to find mechanical relationships and allows for a better grasp of understanding the association between performance criteria and mechanics in the badminton forehand shot technique, which is bases on the kinetic chain principle through the body segmental coordination

Recent research has shown that there is a connection between Internet addiction and time spent on the Internet with social isolation of the users. Therefore, the aim of this study is to examine the influence of Internet addiction and time spent on the Internet towards social isolation among university students in Malaysia. A total of 110 respondents who were undergraduate and postgraduate students from four universities participated in the survey. The collected sample through purposive sampling technique was 110 responses which exceeded the minimum sample size. The research instruments for Internet addiction were adopted from Young Internet Addiction Scale Test which consist of 20 items whereas social isolation was measured using the UCLA Loneliness Scale consisting also of 20 items. Time spent on the Internet was measured based on the number of hours the students spent on social media platforms such as Facebook, WhatsApp, Twitter, and Instagram. The questionnaire was distributed via online channels due to the physical constraints of the Covid-19 pandemic. Data were analysed using IBM SPSS Statistics version 22 and Smart PLS-SEM Version 3.2.8. The measurement assessment showed that the data had fulfilled the composite reliability and convergent and discriminant validities requirements. The findings revealed that the level of Internet addiction, time spent on the Internet and social isolation were moderate. The findings also demonstrated that Internet addiction and time spent on the Internet influenced social isolation among university students

The study area located in a region of Yogyakarta which is Cawas, Klaten and the specification took place in Tancep, Gunung Kidul. The study area is a complex area which consists of 3 types of rocks in an area and has seven lithology which are schist-phyllite, nummulitic limestone, tuffaceous sandstone, volcanic clastic sandstone, sandstone interbedded with siltstone, diorite and also crystalline limestone. The objectives of this research are to produce a geological map of the study area with scale 1:25000 and to demarcate the groundwater potential zone in Tancep, Gunung Kidul. The specification area was chosen because it has lack of groundwater well that needed by the community for daily activities. This research is important in demarcating groundwater potential zone for new groundwater resources. In order to satisfy the objectives, method such as geological mapping, geomorphological investigation, data collection and data processing must be conducted. For the demarcation of the groundwater potential zone, the 1D electrical resistivity method (ERI) or vertical electrical sounding (VES) method were conducted using Schlumberger array arrangement. The results that were interpreted were there are two potential groundwater sources in the study area. The lithology and groundwater sources were determined by correlating the result with regional geology of the area and also by using the resistivity chart. This research will give significant to people around study area for the community as it can accommodate demand for new groundwater resource

Pengurusan fiskal kerajaan negeri di Semenanjung Malaysia: analisis autoregressive distributed lag (ARDL)

    Get PDF

    Get PDF
Overhand shot technique is the most prevalent technique in badminton and is often emphasized by coaches during training. However an overemphasis on a particular technique might have a different impact on young badminton players who is undergoing puberty period. Previous studies had mentioned little on the impact of biological maturation in influencing sports technique. The aim of this paper is to review the overhand shot technique in badminton among young badminton players in the context of biological maturation impact. This includes the relationship between biological maturation, physical growth and overhand shot technique. The existing literatures have highlighted the potential impact of biological maturation on sport technique, particularly badminton overhand shot among young players. More in depth studies are needed on the impact of biological maturation in young badminton players on technical execution of the overhand shot for better understanding on this matter. Such work can be useful in ensuring an excellent shot technical proficiency and hence increase chance of winning the match in badminton among young badminton players

Cyberbullying has become a severe issue and brought a powerful impact on the cyber world. Due to the low cost and fast spreading of news, social media has become a tool that helps spread insult, offensive, and hate messages or opinions in a community. Detecting cyberbullying from social media is an intriguing research topic because it is vital for law enforcement agencies to witness how social media broadcast hate messages. Twitter is one of the famous social media and a platform for users to tell stories, give views, express feelings, and even spread news, whether true or false. Hence, it becomes an excellent resource for sentiment analysis. This paper aims to detect cyberbully threats based on Naïve Bayes, support vector machine (SVM), and k-nearest neighbour (k-NN) classifier model. Sentiment analysis will be applied based on people's opinions on social media and distribute polarity to them as positive, neutral, or negative. The accuracy for each classifier will be evaluated

Variable order variable stepsize algorithm for solving nonlinear Duffing oscillator

    Get PDF
Nonlinear phenomena in science and engineering such as a periodically forced oscillator with nonlinear elasticity are often modeled by the Duffing oscillator (Duffing equation). The Duffling oscillator is a type of nonlinear higher order differential equation. In this research, a numerical approximation for solving the Duffing oscillator directly is introduced using a variable order stepsize (VOS) algorithm coupled with a backward difference formulation. By selecting the appropriate restrictions, the VOS algorithm provides a cost efficient computational code without affecting its accuracy. Numerical results have demonstrated the advantages of a variable order stepsize algorithm over conventional methods in terms of total steps and accuracy
