Application Drama Technique in Developing Speaking of the Eleventh Grade Students of Man Majene

This research aims to proof whether the application of drama technique is able to develop students’ speaking skill.The design of this study is experimental design. There were two groups: experimental and control group. The research was conducted at Madrasah Aliah Negeri Majene, and took 40 students as samples. The data were collected by using the pre-test, the treatment, and the post-test. The speaking test administered to the students of experimental and control class. The scores were assessed by three assessors. The data were analyzed and interpreted by using Pearson Product Moment assisted by SPSS 20 (Statistical Package for Service Solution) software program. The result of the research reveals that application of drama technique can be proven to develop students’ speaking skill  and the application of  drama technique develop  students’ speaking skill. The result of the students’ speaking score development from pre-test to post test demonstrates a significant difference. The researcher found that sig.(2 tailed) is 0.000 which is lower than 0.05. The outcome of the students’ speaking development comparison between experimental and control group is 0.025. It means that the development is significant. The application of drama technique developed and improve students’ speaking skill. The finding signifies that application of drama technique is responded positively by the experimental class. &nbsp

Adaptive thresholding in dynamic scene analysis for extraction of fine line

This paper presents an adaptive threshold method whereby a fine thin line of one-pixel width lines could be detected in a gray level images. The proposed method uses the percentage difference between the mean of the pixels within a window and the center pixel. The minimum threshold value however is heuristically set to 32. If the percentage difference is greater than 40% then the threshold value will be set to the difference value. Study of apple packaging material properties by using parchment and recycled paper

This paper investigated the potential properties of apple packaging material used as a major ingredient for promoting eco-friendly apple packaging materials. In addition, old newspapers and parchment paper were used as specimens to assess natural behavior of the apple packaging material. The main objective was to determine the mechanical properties of the paper with different amount or the different percentage of parchment paper and recycled paper compositions. The response of this study was identifying the tensile strength, bursting strength and tearing strength factor. The results showed production of papers from parchment paper and recycled paper affects the strength of the paper itself. The increase in the percentage of recycled paper has resulted in the mechanical properties of ascending paper. The combination of 60% recycled paper and 26% parchment paper produces the best mechanical properties with tear strength of 25.1 N. Meanwhile the composition of 43% parchment paper, 43% recycle paper and 14% of potato flour resulted with 856.0 kPa burst strength and 224.0 N tensile strength. Nitrogen Fixation by Leucaena leucocephala as Measured by N-15 Dilution Technique

A field trial was conducted to measure the amount of nitrogen fixed by Leucaena leucocephala using the isotope dilution technique proposed by Fried and Broeshart (1975). Three varieties of Leucaena (A ccession 55/65, Cunningham and Peruvian) were planted both as a sole crop and mixed with Setaria anceps var. splendida grass. It was found that Leucaena can fix up to 78% of the nitrogen present in the plant tops within the period of three months. Pengaruh Strategi Bisnis terhadap Hubungan Manajemen Persediaan dan Kinerja Perusahaan (Studi pada Perusahaan Publik di Bei)

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh manajemen persediaan terhadap kinerja Perusahaan dan menguji pengaruh strategi bersaing terhadap hubungan antara manajemen persediaan dan kinerja.Secara khusus penelitian ini ingin menguji pengaruh strategi bersaing (low cost dan differentiation) terhadap kinerja Perusahaan.Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan data sekunder informasi keuangan Perusahaan manufaktur yang diperoleh dari database Thompson Reuteurs dan BEI periode 2011.Sedangkan model regresi digunakan untuk menguji hipotesis penelitian.Tahapan penelitian dimulai dari persiapan dan pencarian data keuangan dan referensi terkait permasalahan permasalahan.Selanjutnya melakukan pengumpulan data keuangan dan data lainnya yang mendukung penelitian.Data keuangan yang sesuai dengan variabel penelitian diperoleh dari database BEI berupa Laporan Keuangan Auditan dan Laporan Tahunan Data. Data tersebut akan ditabulasi, diolah, dianalisis dan disimpulkan. Pengolahan data menggunakan software E-Views 7. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan: pertama, terdapat hubungan positif dan signifikan antara manajemen persediaan dan kinerja Perusahaan; kedua, terbukti strategi berpengaruh memperkuat hubungan antara manajemen persediaan dengan kinerja Perusahaan.Dapat disimpulkan bahwa manajemen persediaan mempengaruhi kinerja Perusahaan dan terkait juga dengan strategi bersaing Perusahaan.
