THE USE OF STUDENTS TEAMS ACHIEVEMENT DIVISIONS (STAD) TECHNIQUE IN TEACHING WRITING RECOUNT TEXT
This research paper entitled “The Use of Students Teams Achievement Divisions (STAD) Technique in Teaching Writing Recount Text” is intended to find out the effectiveness of STAD technique to improve students writing skill and to investigate the significant of STAD technique comparing to conventional method. The research design in this study was a quasi experimental research that consisted of pre-test and post-test as the treatment. This study took the second grade students of SMP Negeri 04 Pangalengan 2019/2020 academic year that involved 40 students of experimental group and 40 students of control group. After conducting the research and computing the data, the writer concludes that STAD technique is effective in teaching writing recount text. It can be seen from the result of t-observed value. Before the treatments, the t-observed is less than t-table (0.6 < 2.000) the null hypothesis is retained. It means there is no significant difference in writing ability between experimental group and control group before treatments. After the treatment, the t-observed is bigger than t-table (3.92 > 2.000) and the alternative hypothesis is accepted. It means there is significance different in the result between experimental group and control group in teaching writing recount text by using STAD technique. This also means that STAD technique is effective in teaching writing recount text to the second grade of Junior High School. From the result of the questionnaire, the writer can conclude that almost all of students like writing, they agree that the use of STAD can be more active, communicative, makes students understand the material better and can improve they ability to work individually or in groups especially in writing recount text. In other words, students get positive responses in teaching writing by using STAD for the second grade of junior high school.Key Words: Students Teams Achievement Divisions (STAD), Recount Tex
PENINGKATAN MOTIVASI BELAJAR MATEMATIKA MELALUI MODEL PEMBELAJARAN THINK PAIR SHARE SISWA KELAS 4 SDN SIDOREJO LOR 01 KOTA SALATIGA
Abstrak: Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar matematika siswa kelas 4 SDN Sidorejo Lor 01 melalui penggunaan model pembelajaran Think Pair Share. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas 4 SDN Sidorejo Lor 01 Salatiga yang berjumlah 35 siswa. Penelitian dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus, setiap siklus terdiri dari tiga kali pertemuan. Teknik pengumpulan data berupa tes, observasi dan angket. Teknik analisis data menggunakan deskriptif komparatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa motivasi belajar siswa mengalami peningkatan. Pada siklus I, hasil pengamatan menunjukkan bahwa 54% siswa mencapai motivasi tinggi, sedangkan 46% siswa berada pada kategori sedang. Pada siklus II, penggunaaan model pembelajaran Think Pair Share disertai perbaikan tindakan yang mendorong siswa untuk lebih aktif dalam pembelajaran. Hasil pengamatan menunjukkan bahwa 83% siswa mencapai motivasi belajar pada kategori tinggi, sedangkan 17% siswa berada pada kategori sedang. Abstract: This type of research is a classroom action research that aims to improve the motivation of learning mathematics grade 4 students SDN Sidorejo Lor 01 through the use of Think Pair Share learning model. The subjects of this research are 4th grade students of SDN Sidorejo Lor 01 Salatiga, which are 35 students. The study was conducted in two cycles, each cycle consisting of three meetings. Data collection techniques such as tests, observations and questionnaires. Data analysis techniques using quantitative descriptive. The results showed that students' learning motivation has increased. In the first cycle, the results showed that 54% of students achieved high motivation, while 46% of students were in the medium category. In the second cycle, the use of Think Pair Share learning model is accompanied by improved actions that encourage students to be more active in learning. The results showed that 83% of students achieved high learning motivation, while 17% were in the medium category
Pengaruh Couple-Based Intervention dalam Meningkatkan Kesehatan Jiwa Maternal Pascapersalinan
Kesehatan jiwa pascapersalinan merupakan suatu keadaan sejahtera secara fisik dan mental yang terbebas dari penyakit dan masalah kesehatan jiwa yaitu postpartum blues, kecemasan, depresi dan psikosis pascapersalinan. Masalah Kesehatan jiwa maternal berdampak tidak hanya pada individu, tetapi juga pada bayi, pasangan, keluarga dan masyarakat. Dampak pada individu mengakibatkan gangguan pada aktivitas sehari–hari, hubungan interpersonal, gangguan dalam merawat bayi, mempengaruhi kesehatan fisik dan meningkatkan resiko depresi yang berlanjut. Oleh karena diperlukan suatu upaya pencegahan dan perawatan masalah kesehatan jiwa maternal pascapersalinan untuk mendukung kesejahteraan ibu dan keluarga. Salah satu wujud intervensi yang bisa dilakukan adalah intervensi berbasis pasangan (couple-based intervention). Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh couple-based intervention dalam meningkatkan kesehatan jiwa maternal. Desain penelitian menggunakan Quasi Eksperimental dengan control group Pretest-Posttest design dengan dua kelompok yaitu kelompok perlakuan dan kontrol. Total responden penelitian ini sebanyak 38 responden ibu pascapersalinan primipara dan pasangan. Instrumen yang digunakan merupakan kuesioner baku yang telah teruji antara lain Kuesioner ENRICH Marital Satisfaction Scale, Kuesioner SRQ – 20, Kuisioner General Health Questionnaire (GHQ – 12), Kuesioner Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale (EPDS), dan Partner Interactions after Baby Scale (PIBS). Data yang terkumpul selanjutnya dilakukan uji statistik Paired sample T test dan Independent sample t test. Hasil uji Paired sample T Test menunjukkan bahwa perubahan yang signifikan pada kelima sub variabel dari kesehatan Jiwa maternal sebelum dan setelah diberikan Couple-based Intervention pada kelompok perlakuan dengan nilai p value 0,05. Hasil Uji Independent Sample t-test menunjukkan bahwa bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan pada kepuasan pernikahan, Psikologis Ibu dan Pasangan, Deteksi Dini Gangguan Mental, Potensi Depresi Postpartum, dan Dukungan Pasangan dari kelompok perlakuan setelah diberikan couple-based intervention dan kelompok kontrol setelah diberikan edukasi standar menggunakan leaflet. Hal ini menunjukkan ada pengaruh couple-based intervention dalam meningkatkan kesehatan jiwa maternal. Couple-based intervention diharapkan dapat digunakan intervensi yang diberikan pada pasangan primipara dalam pencegahan masalah kesehatan jiwa maternal
The Influence of Risk Preference and Financial Condition on Tax Compliance of Boarding House Tax in Banjarmasin
This study aims to examine the effect of risk preference and financial condition on tax compliance of boarding house owners. The variables of this study are tax compliance, risk preference and financial condition. This study used primary data obtained from the questionnaire. In addition, the respondents of this study were the taxpayers who owned a boarding house in Banjarmasin chosen by using purposive sampling. Furthermore, multiple regression analysis was employed to analyze the obtained data. The results of the study concluded that risk preference and financial condition had positive effect on tax compliance
Institutional and family support impact on health‐related quality of life of children with autism spectrum disorders during the COVID‐19 pandemic
Problems: Children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) tend to have a notably
poorer quality of life than the general population, especially during the COVID‐19
pandemic. This study aimed to analyze the association between institutional support
and family support on the health‐related quality of life (HRQoL) of children with ASD
during the COVID‐19 pandemic.
Methods: A cross‐sectional study was conducted in October 2022 in a School for
Special Needs in Malang City, East Java Province, Indonesia. The pediatric quality of
life inventory (PedsQL) and Institutional and Family Support questionnaire were
used to measure the HRQoL and support perceived by parents of children with ASD.
We analyzed each component of the PedsQL and the Institutional and Family
Support questionnaire. The independent T‐test was performed to analyze the
association between HRQoL and perceived support by parents of children with ASD.
Findings: The results showed that most participants (72.7%) were women aged 40.
As many as 69.39% of participants had more than one child, and 16.33% declared
they had other children who experienced the same problem (special needs children).
This study indicated that the average health‐related quality of life score in children
with ASD was 57.41 (9.418). The finding of this study showed a significant mean
difference in HRQoL scores in children with ASD who received high institutional and
family support compared to those who had low (p = 0.028, 95% confidence interval
[CI] = −11.071 to 0.664).
Conclusion: Institutional support positively impacts children with ASD's quality of
life. Therefore, it is essential to improve the adequacy of support felt by families
while caring for children with AS
