Quantum Anthropology: Man, Cultures, and Groups in a Quantum Perspective

This philosophical anthropology tries to explore the basic categories of man’s being in the worlds using a special quantum meta-ontology that is introduced in the book. Quantum understanding of space and time, consciousness, or empirical/nonempirical reality elicits new questions relating to philosophical concerns such as subjectivity, free will, mind, perception, experience, dialectic, or agency. The authors have developed an inspiring theoretical framework transcending the boundaries of particular disciplines, e.g. quantum philosophy, metaphysics of consciousness, philosophy of mind, phenomenology of space and time, and ontological relativity

The Benuaq funeral rituals

Předmětem předkládané disertační práce jsou dajakové Benuaq a jejich pohřební rituály ve vztahu k identitě. Cílem práce je zodpovědět otázku, jakou roli hraje rituál při utváření, zachovávání či přetváření objektivizované reality a sociálních vztahů, jak může posloužit v případě krize skupiny, ať už je tato krize způsobena úmrtím jednoho z jejích členů a nebo vnějšími vlivy, a jakou hraje úlohu při formování a prezentování kolektivní identity skupiny. V práci je nejprve nastíněna stručná historie dajaků ve vztahu k jejich identitě a pohřebním rituálům jakožto uvedení do socio-kulturního kontextu, ve kterém se Benuaqové nacházejí. V další části je předložen popis několikafázového pohřebního rituálu Benuaqů Idatn. Ve třetí části práce je aplikován Bergerův a Luckmannův přístup a je vysvětleno, jak je skrze rituál konstruována realita a identita participantů a zároveň jakým způsobem může rituál sloužit při konstruování a prezentování kolektivní identity.The subject of the dissertation thesis presented is the Dayak Benuaq and their funeral rituals in relation to their individual and collective identity. The aim of the thesis is to try to find an answer to the question "what role does a ritual play in creating, maintaining or changing objectivized reality and social relations and how can a ritual help in the case of group crisis inflicted by internal or external causes". And the last question studied is the role of a ritual in defining and presenting collective identity of a social group. This work first focuses on brief history of the Dayak in relation to their ethnic identity and burial rituals serving as an introduction to the socio-cultural context of the Benuaq. Subsequently, a description of secondary burial rituals of the Benuaq Idatn is presented. Monografie prezentuje novou teoretickou perspektivu sociokulturní antropologie, která navazuje na aktuální zahraniční práce v tomto oboru. Kvantová antropologie opouští chápání člověka v pojetí klasické fyziky a hledá naopak ukotvení, které nabízí současná kvantová filozofie a teorie kvantové mechaniky. Z této perspektivy, a s odkazem na současný ontologický obrat v antropologii, reinterpretují autoři chápání kultury, sociálních skupin, jazyka, dekonstrukce, symbolů, mýtů či rituálů. Pozornost je věnována také podstatě percepční zkušenosti, prožívání, kolektivnímu vědomí a emocím.
