This article will to answer the question Why Russia allow a military intervention in the Ukraine on the side of the Russian forces How are we to think of it How are we those that love Russia and especially cherish its peaceful and peacemaking nature going to deal with this situation morally politically A main reason for this war is in fact insufficient representation of the Russian point of view and integration of Russia by Westerns counterparts in the global order despite Russia making all efforts to join it in the last 25 years How are we to maintain the open dialogue and improve the representation of Russia after and during this military conflict The other reason for the conflict is the astounding deafness and unwillingness to compromise or simply acknowledge the Russian position and trut

Multi-speed solitary waves of nonlinear Schrödinger systems: theoretical and numerical analysis

    Get PDF
International audienceWe consider a system of coupled nonlinear Schrödinger equations in one space dimension. First, we prove the existence of multi-speed solitary waves, i.e solutions to the system with each component behaving at large times as a solitary wave. Then, we investigate numerically the interaction of two solitary waves supported each on one component. Among the possible outcomes, we find elastic and inelastic interactions, collision with mass extraction and reflexion

TV Series and Social Media: Powerful Engagement Factors in Mobile Video Games

The free-to-play business model has become hegemonic in the mobile video game industry, displacing the traditional paid content model that was the norm until the appearance of manufacturers' app stores. Companies attempt to monetize these games by means of in-game micro-transactions and in-game advertising; thus, it is essential to acquire an enormous number of users because only a small percentage will ultimately make any purchases. To keep players engaged, companies typically put in place marketing and design strategies derived from behavioral telemetry, to maintain a grip on players. We propose an innovative approach, focusing our attention on the impact of having a video game based on a famous TV series. Furthermore, we analyze the effect of social networks on game metrics. The outcome indicates that developing a game based on a TV series and integrating social media with the gameplay improve and reinforce the user's activation, retention and monetization

Treatment with a New Peroxisome Proliferator-Activated Receptor Gamma Agonist, Pyridinecarboxylic Acid Derivative, Increases Angiogenesis and Reduces Inflammatory Mediators in the Heart of Trypanosoma cruzi-Infected Mice

Trypanosoma cruzi infection induces an intense inflammatory response in diverse host tissues. The immune response and the microvascular abnormalities associated with infection are crucial aspects in the generation of heart damage in Chagas disease. Upon parasite uptake, macrophages, which are involved in the clearance of infection, increase inflammatory mediators, leading to parasite killing. The exacerbation of the inflammatory response may lead to tissue damage. Peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor gamma (PPARγ) is a ligand-dependent nuclear transcription factor that exerts important antiinflammatory effects and is involved in improving endothelial functions and proangiogenic capacities. In this study, we evaluated the intermolecular interaction between PPARγ anda new synthetic PPARγ ligand, HP24, using virtual docking. Also, we showed that early treatment with HP24, decreases the expression of NOS2, a pro-inflammatory mediator, and stimulates proangiogenic mediators (vascular endothelial growth factor A, CD31, and Arginase I) both in macrophages and in the heart of T. cruzi-infected mice. Moreover, HP24 reduces the inflammatory response, cardiac fbrosis and the levels of inflammatory cytokines (TNF-α, interleukin 6) released by macrophages of T. cruzi-infected mice. We consider that PPARγ agonists might be useful as coadjuvants of the antiparasitic treatment of Chagas disease, to delay, reverse, or preclude the onset of heart damage.
