The present article analyses Maïssa Bey’s novel Nulle autre voix [No Other Voice]. This feminist author deals with a new theme of an Algerian woman in prison, a place supposed to be only for men. Female criminality is a taboo subject in Algeria because prison represents, in a way, desocialization. A criminal is disowned by his own family for bringing dishonour. Since women represent their families’ honour in Algeria, they are treated more severely than men. This manifests itself in the novel by the paratopic elements forming a discourse that will be analysed by means of an enunciative method.

Researches in the medical remote monitoring at home have taken a great consideration and care in wireless communication these last years. The set of these researches is linked to the aging population and lack of infrastructures of reception for persons exposed to accident’s risks in their daily life or degradation of their health in short time. The principal objective is to permit a taking off for medical and social dependant people as aged ones, handicapped, in order to the adaptation with their environment domestically and make up their incapacities. In this case, it is indispensable to make a diagnostic in a real time and managed really the given data of patients between medical actors with the permanent security insurance of highly risky patients. Furthermore, the need to make a speed diagnostic of patients and to detect their health state with efficacy permits the gain of time in their taking off. The stakes of setting up such systems are numerous, so much for patients, medical staff and the society generally. So, it is useful to detect and prevent the occurrence of critical situations of a person at home, implying the transmission of message and alarms to actors concerned and ready to intervene in case of necessity. Our attention has been focused on the choice of a relevant work. It concerns an application on a mobile terminal (MIDlet) for monitoring patient in a non-hospital setting. This paper recalls a complete architecture of an economic wireless transmission system with the implementation of an effective algorithm, adapted to the mobile terminal, allowing to the doctor to have the results of analysis of ECG data wirelessly

Identifying light charged Higgs boson in the μν\mu\nu channel in 2HDM Type-III

In this contribution, we discuss the light charged Higgs boson production via pptˉbH±pp \to \bar{t} bH^\pm at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) in the Two-Higgs Doublet Model (2HDM) Type-III. We explore the prospect of looking the aforementioned Higgs boson production channel followed by H±μνH^\pm\mu\nu signal. The latter has the potential to be overwhelmingly stronger than H±τνH^\pm\tau\nu and H±csˉH^\pm c\bar{s} signals in Type-III. We show that in both scenarios standard and inverted hierarchy and after including several theoretical and experimental constraints, the production process pptˉbH±pp \to \bar{t}bH^\pm followed by H±μνH^\pm\to \mu\nu could represent the most promising experimental option to search for light charged Higgs boson at the LHC.Comment: 6 pages, 2 figures, Contribution to The Tenth Annual Conference on Large Hadron Collider Physics-LHCP202

Purpose: We investigated the different impacts warranted and unwarranted discounts have on IPOs valuation performance and underpricing. Research methodology: We used multivariate ordinary least squares regression analysis to examine discounts’ determinants, and their impacts on valuation errors and underpricing. We also used bias and accuracy errors to examine valuation performance. Results: We find both final offer price accuracy errors and underpricing negatively related to warranted discounts and positively related to unwarranted discounts. Additionally, warranted discounts are positively related to fair value estimate bias errors, contrarily to unwarranted discounts.  Limitations: The relatively small sample size represents our study’s main limitation. Contribution: Unwarranted discounts allow assessing by issuers' underpricing level and underwriters’ sub-optimal efforts and investors' positive returns. Whereas warranted discounts allow issuers to avoid overpricing IPOs and communicate their intrinsic value, investors assess their negative returns, and underwriters reveal their superior qualitative valuation. Regulators can increase after-market efficiency and protect investors by implementing unwarranted discounts’ constraints and warranted discounts’ thresholds

This paper presents a ray-tracing method for modelingUltra Wide Bandwidth indoor propagation channels. Avalidation of the ray tracing model with our indoor measurementis also presented. Based on the validated model, the multipathchannel parameter like the fading statistics and root mean squarerms delay spread for Ultra Wide bandwidth frequencies aresimply extracted. The proposed ray-tracing method is basedon image method. This is used to predict the propagation ofUWB electromagnetic waves. First, we have obtained that thefading statistics can be well fitted by log normal distributionin static case. Second, as in realistic environment we cannotneglect the significant impact of Human Body Shadowing andother objects in motion on indoor UWB propagation channel.Hence, our proposed model allows a simulation of propagationin a dynamic indoor environment. Results of the simulation showthat this tool gives results in agreement with those reported inthe literature. Specially, the effects of people motion on temporalchannel properties. Other features of this approach also areoutlined

Rice production in Sierra Leone is confronted with problems relating to pests, climate change and general rice production management practices. The present paper reviews the problems associated with rice production and conceptualizes a framework on possible solutions to achieving rice self-sufficiency in Sierra Leone. It further focuses on the research concerning the contributions of agronomic and pest management practices towards boosting rice production. This review has helped inventory the key pests (insect pests, diseases, and weeds) that affect rice production in Sierra Leone. It revealed that among diverse varieties of rice, the new varieties adapt to fertilizer use. There is little information and knowledge about pesticide use to control rice pests. Furthermore, the country’s stagnant dependence on imported rice accentuates the problem of achieving rice self-sufficiency. We recommend a conceptual framework to achieve self-sufficiency in rice. Also, there is a need to carry out a rice pest survey in order to provide information about the biodiversity in the rice ecologies. &nbsp

This paper presents a technique to determine the Dielectric constant and dielectric loss of the building dielectric materials using propagation constant measurements. The material sample is loaded in an X-band (8.5GHz-12.5GHz) rectangular waveguide and its two port S-parameters are measured as a function of frequency using a Vector Network Analyzer without TRL Calibration. The results obtained from samples of dielectric materials  (Air, Cellular concrete and  Wood)  on  the  X-band  frequencies show  the  validity  of  the  proposed technique to determine the complex permittivity of the building dielectric materials on the X-band frequencies
