Increase of Immunity Cantik Hybrid Grouper Juveniles by Lipopolysaccharide (Lps)

Disease is one of obstacle in fish culture. Immunity of fish against disease can be increased by using immunostimulant. The purpose of this experiment to increasing immunity of cantik hybrid grouper (cross breeding of tiger grouper, Epinephelus fuscoguttatus female with marbled grouper, E. polyphekadion male) to the diseases by using immunostimulant. Treatments were LPS cell walls of V. alginolyticus and commercial LPS was also used in this study, as a-control without LPS was used saline water (0.85% NaCl). The LPS was delivered by injection intra-muscularly with concentration of 0.1 mL/fish. This experiment was design by completely randomized with 3 replicates. Results showed that LPS were effective to increase titer antibody values and survival rates of cantik hybrid grouper. The titer antibody values of fish after 90 days rearing period were 128 (LPS from V. alginolyticus), 64 (commercial LPS), and only 4 in the control fish. The survival rates at the end of experiment were 88.67 ± 3.62% (LPS from V. alginolyticus), 85.22±5.93% (commercial LPS), and only 50.13 ± 6.11% in the control fish. Relative percentage survival of fish following challenged with live V. alginolyticus were 77.46% in the received LPS from V. alginolyticus cell wall and 71.12% in the fish received commercial LPS. Infeksi Bakteri Vibrio Alginolyticus Pada Lumba-lumba Hidung Botol, Tursiops Aduncus Yang Dipelihara Di Lovina, Singaraja, Bali [Infection of Bacterial Vibrio Alginolyticus on Bottle Nose Dolphins, Tursiops Aduncus Reared at Lovina, Singaraja, Bali]

An experiment with the aim to identify the cause of disease in Indo-Pacific bottlenose dolphins, Tursiops aduncus was conducted in Pathology Laboratory of Institute for Mariculture Research and Development, Gondol, Bali. The diseased fish showed lost appetite, swim slowly, and haemorrhage on the body surface. These clinical signs indicate that the fish infected by bacteria. The bacteria then were isolated aseptically from different parts of fish body including chin, abdomen, dorsal and caudal fins. Some media were used to isolate the bacteria, namely Triptic Soy Agar (TSA) as a general medium, Thiosulphate Citrate Bile Salt Sucrose Agar (TCBSA) for Vibrio bacteria, Cytophaga Agar (Cyt-A) for Flexibacter bacteria, and KF-Strep Breeders media for Streptococcus bacteria. As a result, one dominant bacterium was isolated from TSA and TCBSA. No bacteria growth showed on Cyt-A and KF-Strep media.The isolate was gram-negative, fermentative, swarm on TSA, growth with yellow colony on TCBSA. Based on its characteristics the isolate identified as Vibrio alginolyticus. Peran Pemerintah Daerah untuk Mewujudkan Kota Layak Anak di Indonesia

The main problems in this research were, first, how is the participation of local governments in realizing children-friendly city/district (KLA) in Indonesia. Second, what are the factors that affect the local governments in realizing children-friendly city/district in Indonesia. This was a normative legal research; legal materials were analyzed using descriptive qualitative approach. The results of the research showed that: first, the forms of participation of the local governments in fulfilling children's rights so that they deserve to be declared as KLA are: 1) Civil Rights and Freedom; 2) Family and Alternative Nursery; 3) Disability, Basic Health and Welfare; 4) Education, Utilization of Leisure Time and Cultural Activities; and 5) Special Protection. Second, there are several factors that affect how a region becomes KLA: 1) Legislation and policies on the fulfillment of children's rights; 2) Budget for the fulfillment of children's rights; 3) The number of legislations, policies, programs and activities that get input from children forum and other children groups; 4) Availability of KLA-trained human resources who are able to integrate children's rights into policies, programs and activities; 5) Availability of children's data by sex, age, and sub-districts; 6) Involvement of community institutions in the fulfillment of children's rights; and 7) Involvement of business in the fulfillment of children's rights

A culinary website needs shown specific information such foods history, food recipe, location, and others. the purpose of this research : 1) Desaigning the website of culinary traditional malay foods base of flour in Pekanbaru with Joomla 3.0. 2) Analyze the level of user satisfaction to culinary website traditional malay foods base on flour. 3) Analyze to level important and attributes performance culinary website traditional malay foods base on flour. Sampling uses non probability method that convience sampling. taking 90 samples uses slovin formula. Teknik Isolasi dan Elektroforesis Dna Total pada Kryptopterus Apogon (Bleeker 1851) dari Sungai Kampar Kiri dan Tapung Hilir Kabupaten Kampar Provinsi Riau

Kryptopterus apogon is one of freshwater fish species that was only found in floodplain river in Riau Province. Many species of lais fish are found in Riau Province rivers and morphologically has the same shape therefore it is necessary to find alternative markers to distinguish the species. The important step in genetic analysis is DNA isolation. This study aimed to isolate the total DNA from Kryptopterus apogon. The fish samples were taken from the Kampar Kiri and Tapung Hilir rivers. Isolation of total DNA was done by taking the muscle tissue from the fish tail (1 mm x 1 mm in size). Isolation of total DNA was done using DNA isolation kit (QIAGEN DNeasy Blood & Tissue). After that, the total DNA was checked on 1% agarose gel to estimate the quantity and quality of total DNA. Total isolated DNA of Kryptopterus apogon from two rivers had various quality and quantity. Tha total quantity of DNA molecules ranged from to 100-200 ng/μl, while the total quality was good enough or not fragmented. The DNA was clear, thick, and no smear
