An investigation of networking techniques for the ASRM facility
This report is based on the early design concepts for a communications network for the Advanced Solid Rocket Motor (ASRM) facility being built at Yellow Creek near Iuka, MS. The investigators have participated in the early design concepts and in the evaluation of the initial concepts. The continuing system design effort and any modification of the plan will require a careful evaluation of the required bandwidth of the network, the capabilities of the protocol, and the requirements of the controllers and computers on the network. The overall network, which is heterogeneous in protocol and bandwidth, is being modeled, analyzed, simulated, and tested to obtain some degree of confidence in its performance capabilities and in its performance under nominal and heavy loads. The results of the proposed work should have an impact on the design and operation of the ASRM facility

Using a Faucher-Dales approach to migration phenomena, the authors sketch a plausible scenario of the pattern of migration of French Canadians to the United States as regulated by the size of the differential economic rent. Making use of all available data, the authors show that this approach would appear to be vindicated to the extent that the scenario it suggests is compatible with the available estimates of the migration flows
Filtering in Office Markets: Evidence from Medium-Size Cities
Filtering, a change in the quality of use for a structure, has been studied extensively in housing. However, there are reasons to believe that the phenomenon is at least as significant in office markets. Reasons to expect filtering in office markets are presented in this article. Then evidence of filtering is examined from two medium-size cities. The findings are strongly consistent with the presumed effects of filtering. As expected, evidence of filtering is least significant for large downtown highrise offices, more significant among clustered suburban office buildings, and most significant among isolated office buildings.
Multigrid solution of internal flows using unstructured solution adaptive meshes
This is the final report of the NASA Lewis SBIR Phase 2 Contract Number NAS3-25785, Multigrid Solution of Internal Flows Using Unstructured Solution Adaptive Meshes. The objective of this project, as described in the Statement of Work, is to develop and deliver to NASA a general three-dimensional Navier-Stokes code using unstructured solution-adaptive meshes for accuracy and multigrid techniques for convergence acceleration. The code will primarily be applied, but not necessarily limited, to high speed internal flows in turbomachinery
Effect of an Acute Bout of Low-, Moderate, and High-Intensity Aerobic Exercise on Immediate and Delayed Fractionated Response Time
In the present investigation, we investigated the role of three intensities of aerobic exercise (Low Intensity [LI], Moderate Intensity [MI], High Intensity [HI]) on IPC using a unique method to fractionate RPT into three components: (1) RT, which is the interval between the onset of the stimulus signal and the onset of muscle activity in the responding muscle (cognitive-decision making component), (2) movement time (MT), which is the time interval between the onset of muscle activation and completion of the required motor response, and (3) RPT, which encompasses both RT and MT. Movement time reflects more the muscular components of the stimulus-response action, whereas RT reflects the duration of all earlier stages of information processing
