Pengawasan Pasar Modal Di Indonesia Menurut UU Nomor 21 Tahun 2011
Analisa Performa SOFC Proton ElektrolitSistem Hibrid Dengan Bahan Bakar Alternatif
This paper studied the modeling of proton conducting electrolyte SOFC hybrid system fueled by biofuel. The hybrid system consist of a proton conducting electrolyteSOFC stack, a gas turbine, a combustor, two external reformers, two compressors and heat exchangers. The results of study show that power of protonconducting electrolyte SOFC stack and also gas turbine power output when mixing methane with biofuel in externally reformed proton SOFC hybrid system ishigher than pure methane, vice versa, the system efficiency is lowerthan pure methane as a fuel. However, when mixing methane with biofuel, the system efficiency increases with increasing operating pressure
Anomalous double peak structure in Nb/Ni superconductor/ferromagnet tunneling DOS
We have experimentally investigated the density of states (DOS) in Nb/Ni
(S/F) bilayers as a function of Ni thickness, . Our thinnest samples show
the usual DOS peak at , whereas intermediate-thickness samples
have an anomalous ``double-peak'' structure. For thicker samples ( nm), we see an ``inverted'' DOS which has previously only been reported in
superconductor/weak-ferromagnet structures. We analyze the data using the
self-consistent non-linear Usadel equation and find that we are able to
quantitatively fit the features at if we include a large amount
of spin-orbit scattering in the model. Interestingly, we are unable to
reproduce the sub-gap structure through the addition of any parameter(s).
Therefore, the observed anomalous sub-gap structure represents new physics
beyond that contained in the present Usadel theory.Comment: 4 pages, 3 figure
Sphingolipids are involved in insect egg-induced cell death in Arabidopsis.
In Brassicaceae, hypersensitive-like programmed cell death (HR-like) is a central component of direct defenses triggered against eggs of the large white butterfly (Pieris brassicae). The signaling pathway leading to HR-like in Arabidopsis (Arabidopsis thaliana) is mainly dependent on salicylic acid (SA) accumulation, but downstream components are unclear. Here, we found that treatment with P. brassicae egg extract (EE) triggered changes in expression of sphingolipid metabolism genes in Arabidopsis and black mustard (Brassica nigra). Disruption of ceramide (Cer) synthase activity led to a significant decrease of EE-induced HR-like whereas SA signaling and reactive oxygen species levels were unchanged, suggesting that Cer are downstream activators of HR-like. Sphingolipid quantifications showed that Cer with C16:0 side chains accumulated in both plant species and this response was largely unchanged in the SA-induction deficient2 (sid2-1) mutant. Finally, we provide genetic evidence that the modification of fatty acyl chains of sphingolipids modulates HR-like. Altogether, these results show that sphingolipids play a key and specific role during insect egg-triggered HR-like
Experiments towards quantum information with trapped Calcium ions
Ground state cooling and coherent manipulation of ions in an rf-(Paul) trap
is the prerequisite for quantum information experiments with trapped ions. With
resolved sideband cooling on the optical S1/2 - D5/2 quadrupole transition we
have cooled one and two 40Ca+ ions to the ground state of vibration with up to
99.9% probability. With a novel cooling scheme utilizing electromagnetically
induced transparency on the S1/2 - P1/2 manifold we have achieved simultaneous
ground state cooling of two motional sidebands 1.7 MHz apart. Starting from the
motional ground state we have demonstrated coherent quantum state manipulation
on the S1/2 - D5/2 quadrupole transition at 729 nm. Up to 30 Rabi oscillations
within 1.4 ms have been observed in the motional ground state and in the n=1
Fock state. In the linear quadrupole rf-trap with 700 kHz trap frequency along
the symmetry axis (2 MHz in radial direction) the minimum ion spacing is more
than 5 micron for up to 4 ions. We are able to cool two ions to the ground
state in the trap and individually address the ions with laser pulses through a
special optical addressing channel.Comment: Proceedings of the ICAP 2000, Firenz
Upper mantle anisotropy beneath Australia and Tahiti from P wave polarization: Implications for real-time earthquake location
International audienceWe report measurements of long-period P wave polarization (P pol) in Australia and Tahiti made by combining modeling of the polarization deviation and harmonic analysis. The analysis of the deviation of the horizontal polarization of the P wave as a function of event back azimuth may be used to obtain information about (1) sensor misorientation, (2) dipping discontinuities, (3) seismic anisotropy, and (4) velocity heterogeneities beneath a seismic station. The results from harmonic analysis and a grid search using Snell's law suggest the presence of a dipping seismic discontinuity beneath stations CTAO and CAN in Australia. These results are consistent with published receiver function studies for these stations. The P pol fast axis orientation is close to the NâS absolute plate motion direction at station TAU (Tasmania), which may be due to plate-motion-driven alignment of olivine crystals in the asthenosphere. Interestingly, measurements of SKS splitting at Tahiti (French Polynesia) show an apparent isotropy, whereas an inversion of P pol observations at PPTL seismic station located in Tahiti suggests the presence of two anisotropic layers. The fast axis azimuth is oriented EâW in the upper layer, and it is close to the NWâSE orientation in the lower layer. Since P pol orientations are used for real-time earthquake locations, especially in poorly instrumented areas such as the South Pacific, we show that the bias from anisotropy and sensor misorientation determined here can be corrected to improve the location accuracy, which yields fundamental data for rapid location necessary for effective tsunami warning
