The Development of the Mindfulness for Mental Fitness Program (Mind-Fit): An Online Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Group Therapy Program for Anxiety and Depression among Filipino College Students
Primarily, the study was conducted to test the efficacy of a newly developed Online Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Group Therapy Program for Anxiety and Depression among Filipino College Students known as Mind-Fit Program. Using One Group Pretest-Posttest Design, participants underwent 5-sessions (5 weeks with 45 minutes-2 hours duration per week). Measures such as Hopkin’s Symptom Checklist (HSCL), Patient Health Questionnaire (PHQ-9), Beck Anxiety Inventory (BAI) and Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale 10 were used as pre and post-test measures. Both quantitative and qualitative approaches were used to analyze the data. Results revealed on the quantitative part using paired sample t-test and Cohen’s d that there is a significant difference on the pre and post-test results on Hopkins Anxiety scale (t(5) = 17.419, p = .000) and Beck Anxiety measure (t(5) = 5.466, p = .005) with Cohen's d of 4.60 and 3.42 respectively. Same pattern was found on the difference of pre and post test on depression measures. Statistically significant findings on both Hopkins Depression subscale (t(5) = 7.359, p = .002) and PHQ-9 measure (t(5) = 5.466, p = .005) with Cohen’s d of 4.28 and 2.13 respectively

Hairy black holes in theories with massive gravitons
This is a brief survey of the known black hole solutions in the theories of
ghost-free bigravity and massive gravity. Various black holes exist in these
theories, in particular those supporting a massive graviton hair. However, it
seems that solutions which could be astrophysically relevant are the same as in
General Relativity, or very close to them. Therefore, the no-hair conjecture
essentially applies, and so it would be hard to detect the graviton mass by

Hairs on the cosmological horizon
We investigate the possibility of having hairs on the cosmological horizon.
The cosmological horizon shares similar properties of black hole horizons in
the aspect of having hairs on the horizons. For those theories admitting haired
black hole solutions, the nontrivial matter fields may reach and extend beyond
the cosmological horizon. For Q-stars and boson stars, the matter fields cannot
reach the cosmological horizon. The no short hair conjecture keeps valid,
despite the asymptotic behavior (de Sitter or anti-de Sitter) of black hole
solutions. We prove the no scalar hair theorem for anti-de Sitter black holes.
Using the Bekenstein's identity method, we also prove the no scalar hair
theorem for the de Sitter space and de Sitter black holes if the scalar

COVID-19 Pandemic and its Impact on the Management of Head and Neck Cancer in the Spanish Healthcare System
Introduction Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) has represented a major challenge for healthcare systems worldwide, changing the habits of physicians. A reorganization of healthcare activity has been necessary, limiting surgical activity to essential cases (emergencies and oncology), and improving the distribution of health resources. Objective To analyze the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on head and neck cancer surgery management in Spain. Methods A cross-sectional study, through an anonymous and voluntary online survey distributed to 76 Spanish otorhinolaryngology departments. Results A total of 44 centers completed the survey, 65.9% of which were high-volume. A total of 45.5% of them had to stop high-priority surgery and 54.5% of head and neck surgeons were relocated outside their scope of practice. Surgeons reported not feeling safe during their usual practice, with a decrease to a 25% of airway procedures. A total of 29.5% were "forced" to deviate from the "standard of care" due to the epidemiological situation. Conclusions Approximately half of the departments decreased their activity, not treating their patients on a regular basis, and surgeons were reassigned to other tasks. It seems necessary that the head and neck surgeons balance infection risk with patient care. The consequences of the reported delays and changes in daily practice should be evaluated in the future in order to understand the real impact of the pandemic on the survival of head and neck cancer patients
The Calculus of Committee Composition
Modern institutions face the recurring dilemma of designing accurate evaluation procedures in settings as diverse as academic selection committees, social policies, elections, and figure skating competitions. In particular, it is essential to determine both the number of evaluators and the method for combining their judgments. Previous work has focused on the latter issue, uncovering paradoxes that underscore the inherent difficulties. Yet the number of judges is an important consideration that is intimately connected with the methodology and the success of the evaluation. We address the question of the number of judges through a cost analysis that incorporates the accuracy of the evaluation method, the cost per judge, and the cost of an error in decision. We associate the optimal number of judges with the lowest cost and determine the optimal number of judges in several different scenarios. Through analytical and numerical studies, we show how the optimal number depends on the evaluation rule, the accuracy of the judges, the (cost per judge)/(cost per error) ratio. Paradoxically, we find that for a panel of judges of equal accuracy, the optimal panel size may be greater for judges with higher accuracy than for judges with lower accuracy. The development of any evaluation procedure requires knowledge about the accuracy of evaluation methods, the costs of judges, and the costs of errors. By determining the optimal number of judges, we highlight important connections between these quantities and uncover a paradox that we show to be a general feature of evaluation procedures. Ultimately, our work provides policy-makers with a simple and novel method to optimize evaluation procedures
The relationship between the perception of distributed leadership in secondary schools and teachers' and teacher leaders' job satisfaction and organizational commitment
This study investigates the relation between distributed leadership, the cohesion of the leadership team, participative decision-making, context variables, and the organizational commitment and job satisfaction of teachers and teacher leaders. A questionnaire was administered to teachers and teacher leaders (n=1770) from 46 large secondary schools. Multiple regression analyses and path analyses revealed that the study variables explained significant variance in organizational commitment. The degree of explained variance for job satisfaction was considerably lower compared to organizational commitment. Most striking was that the cohesion of the leadership team and the amount of leadership support was strongly related to organizational commitment, and indirectly to job satisfaction. Decentralization of leadership functions was weakly related to organizational commitment and job satisfaction
Adaptive hypermedia driven serious game design and cognitive style in school settings: an exploratory study
The potential value of adaptive hypermedia and game based learning to education and training has long been recognised, numerous studies have been undertaken in both those areas investigating its potential to improve learner performance. In particular research has indicated that tailoring content to match the prior knowledge of the user has the power to increase the effectiveness of learning systems. Recent studies have begun to indicate that Adaptive Hypermedia Learning Systems (AHLS) based on cognitive styles have the power to improve learner performance. Recent examples of research exploring avenues for effectively incorporating serious games into AHLS indicated that integrating serious games into a personalized learning environment has the potential educational benefits of combining a personalized delivery with increased learner motivation. The exploratory study presented in this paper here developed an Adaptive Hypermedia Driven Serious Game (AHDSG) based around Pask’s Holist-Serialist dimension of cognitive style. A prototype AHDSG was designed and developed to teach students about Sutton Hoo and archaeological methods. Sixty-six secondary school students participated in this study. Overall the findings of this study show that there was an improvement in performance among all participants. Although the participants that used the system which adapted to their preferred cognitive style achieved a higher mean gain score, the difference was not significant
