    Towards Noncommutative Linking Numbers Via the Seiberg-Witten Map

    In the present work some geometric and topological implications of noncommutative Wilson loops are explored via the Seiberg-Witten map. In the abelian Chern-Simons theory on a three dimensional manifold, it is shown that the effect of noncommutativity is the appearance of 6n6^n new knots at the nn-th order of the Seiberg-Witten expansion. These knots are trivial homology cycles which are Poincar\'e dual to the high-order Seiberg-Witten potentials. Moreover the linking number of a standard 1-cycle with the Poincar\'e dual of the gauge field is shown to be written as an expansion of the linking number of this 1-cycle with the Poincar\'e dual of the Seiberg-Witten gauge fields. In the process we explicitly compute the noncommutative 'Jones-Witten' invariants up to first order in the noncommutative parameter. Finally in order to exhibit a physical example, we apply these ideas explicitly to the Aharonov-Bohm effect. It is explicitly displayed at first order in the noncommutative parameter, we also show the relation to the noncommutative Landau levels.Comment: 19 pages, 1 figur

    We find solutions for quantum Class A Bianchi models of the form Ψ=We±Φ\rm \Psi=W e^{\pm \Phi} generalizing the results obtained by Moncrief and Ryan in standard quantum cosmology. For the II and IX Bianchi models there are other solutions Φ~2\rm \tilde\Phi_2, Φ~9\rm \tilde\Phi_9 to the Hamilton-Jacobi equation for which Ψ\rm \Psi is necessarely zero, in contrast with solutions found in supersymmetric quantum cosmology.Comment: 15 pages, Late

    Towards a loop representation for quantum canonical supergravity

    We study several aspects of the canonical quantization of supergravity in terms of the Asthekar variables. We cast the theory in terms of a GSU(2) connection and we introduce a loop representation. The solution space is remarkably similar to the loop representation of ordinary gravity, the main difference being the form of the Mandelstam identities. Physical states are in general given by knot invariants that are compatible with the GSU(2) Mandelstam identities. There is an explicit solution to all the quantum constraint equations connected with the Chern-Simons form, which leads to a new knot invariant polynomial in the loop representation

    Immunonutrition as a potential strategy to prevent and cope with coronavirus disease (COVID-19)

    In this article, a brief review of immunonutrition as a feasible alternative to modulating the immune system in defence of the SARS-CoV-2 that causes COVID-19 was presented. Immunonutrition is the nutritional practice that includes the necessary nutrients to modulate the activity of the immune system in health and disease. To date, studies are encouraging because they indicate that a good diet restores or improves the immune system's response to pathogens such as SARS-CoV-2. In addition, applying immunonutrition helps people recover with fewer sequelae after going through a serious infection in hospitalization and/or intensive care unit. Finally, it is suggested that immunonutrition be applied in conjunction with other good lifestyles and strictly following current health recommendations.Revisión por pare

    Backgrounds depending on time and on "angular" variable, namely polarized and unpolarized S1×S2S^1 \times S^2 Gowdy models, are generated as the sector inside the horizons of the manifold corresponding to axisymmetric solutions. As is known, an analytical continuation of ordinary DD-branes, iDiD-branes allows one to find SS-brane solutions. Simple models have been constructed by means of analytic continuation of the Schwarzchild and the Kerr metrics.     Noncommutative 6D Gauge Higgs Unification Models

    The influence of higher dimensions in noncommutative field theories is considered. For this purpose, we analyze the bosonic sector of a recently proposed 6 dimensional SU(3) orbifold model for the electroweak interactions. The corresponding noncommutative theory is constructed by means of the Seiberg-Witten map in 6D. We find in the reduced bosonic interactions in 4D theory, couplings which are new with respect to other known 4D noncommutative formulations of the Standard Model using the Seiberg-Witten map. Phenomenological implications due to the noncommutativity of extra dimensions are explored. In particular, assuming that the commutative model leads to the standard model values, a bound -5.63 10^{-8} GeV^{-2}< theta <1.06 10^{-7}GeV^{-2} on the corresponding noncommutativity scale is derived from current experimental constraints on the S and T oblique parameters. This bound is used to predict a possibly significant impact of noncommutativity effects of extra dimensions on the rare Higgs boson decay H-> gamma gamma.Comment: Latex file, 11 pages, 1 figur

    Generalized information entropies depending only on the probability distribution

    Systems with a long-term stationary state that possess as a spatio-temporally fluctuation quantity β\beta can be described by a superposition of several statistics, a "super statistics". We consider first, the Gamma, log-normal and FF-distributions of β\beta. It is assumed that they depend only on plp_l, the probability associated with the microscopic configuration of the system. For each of the three β\beta-distributions we calculate the Boltzmann factors and show that they coincide for small variance of the fluctuations. For the Gamma distribution it is possible to calculate the entropy in a closed form, depending on plp_l, and to obtain then an equation relating plp_l with βEl\beta E_l. We also propose, as other examples, new entropies close related with the Kaniadakis and two possible Sharma-Mittal entropies. The entropies presented in this work do not depend on a constant parameter qq but on plp_l. For the plp_l-Gamma distribution and its corresponding Bpl(E)B_{p_l}(E) Boltzmann factor and the associated entropy, we show the validity of the saddle-point approximation. We also briefly discuss the generalization of one of the four Khinchin axioms to get this proposed entropy.Comment: 13 pages, 3 figure

    In Norddeutschland haben Bäche ihre natürlichen Bedingungen verloren als Konsequenz aus der Landschaftsnutzung durch Besiedlung und Landwirtschaft. In dieser Region finden sich vorwiegend sandige, sehr nährstoffarme Böden, welche zum Teil im Rahmen exzessiver Bodenbefruchtung eutrophiert wurden. Hierbei führen Belastungen mit Ammonium- und Nitrate -stickstoff zu einem beachtlichen Effekt auf den Nährstoffhaushalt des Flusses. Ein allgemeines Merkmal der Studien-Flüsse war die ausgeprägte zeitliche Variation der Nitrat-Stickstoff und Ammonium-Stickstoff Konzentration mit höheren Werten im Winter und niedrigeren im Sommer, einer vertikalen Sauerstoff abhängigen Differenzierung der Nitrifikationsrate, welche auch durch die Ammonium-Verfügbarkeit, die Flussbett-Eigenschaften und den Gehalt an organischer Substanz im Flussbett kontrolliert wurde. Der Abfluss kontrollierte außerdem die Stabilität von Flussbetten, welche für die Besiedlung und Aktivität der Mikroorganismen grundsätzlich sind
