    virtFlow: guest independent execution flow analysis across virtualized environments

    An agent-less technique to understand virtual machines (VMs) behavior and their changes during the VM life-cycle is essential for many performance analysis and debugging tasks in the cloud environment. Because of privacy and security issues, ease of deployment and execution overhead, the method preferably limits its data collection to the physical host level, without internal access to the VMs. We propose a host-based, precise method to recover execution flow of virtualized environments, regardless of the level of virtualization. Given a VM, the Any-Level VM Detection Algorithm (ADA) and Nested VM State Detection (NSD) Algorithm compute its execution path along with the state of virtual CPUs (vCPUs) from the host kernel trace. The state of vCPUs is displayed in an interactive trace viewer (TraceCompass) for further inspection. Then, a new approach for profiling threads and processes inside the VMs is proposed. Our proposed VM trace analysis algorithms have been open-sourced for further enhancements and to the benefit of other developers. Our new techniques are being evaluated with workloads generated by different benchmarking tools. These approaches are based on host hypervisor tracing, which brings a lower overhead (around 1%) as compared to other approaches

    Dewasa ini semakin banyak cara untuk mempermudah pembelajaran. Berbagai metode telah diterapkan untuk mencapai hasil pembelajaran yang lebih maksimal. Penggunaan teknologi merupakan salah satu aspek yang sangat digemari oleh semua kalangan, dan dapat diterapkan ke semua aspek terutama pendidikan. Dari segi teknologi game selain sebagai media hiburan, sepatutnya dapat juga menjadi pendekatan bagi pembelajaran yang interaktif dan menyenangkan. Genre game RPG-Adventure bisa menjadi pendekatan yang sangat tepat untuk diterapkan sebagai media pembelajaran berbasis permainan pada teknologi. Game berjudul "Petualangan Titan" merupakan salah satu cara untuk memperkenalkan kepada semua kalangan terutama anak-anak tentang bagaimana proses pembentukan madu didalam Perut lebah. Perancangan game ini diawali dengan analisa kebutuhan, perancangan story board, pembuatan desain, pengkodean, dan pengujian white-box dan black-box. Hasil pengujian white-box menunjukkan bahwa ketika aplikasi dijalankan, terlihat bahwa salah satu basis set yang dihasilkan linier dan terlihat bahwa simpul telah dieksekusi satu kali. Berdasarkan ketentuan tersebut dari segi kelayakan software, system ini telah memenuhi syarat. Sedangkan hasil pengujian black-box menunjukkan bahwa pengujian yang meliputi input, proses, dan outpun dengan acuan rancangan perangkat lunak telah terpenuhi dengan hasil sesuai dengan rancangan. Penerapan RPG-adventure untuk pembelajaran proses pembuatan madu diharapkan dapat mencapai hasil yang optimal jika didukung dengan pendekatan dan metode pembelajaran yang sesuai. Pada game petualangan Titan ini dapat dikembangkan lagi tingkat kesulitan dan penjelasan yang lebih interaktif

    Anisotropic Response of Nanosized Bismuth Films Upon Femtosecond Laser Excitation Monitored by Ultrafast Electron Diffraction

    The lattice response of 5 nm thick bismuth film to femtosecond laser excitation is probed by ultrafast electron diffraction. The transient decay time after laser excitation is greater for diffraction from (012) lattice planes compared to (110) planes and is reduced for both planes with the increased laser fluence. These results indicate that different energy coupling mechanisms to the lattice occur depending on the crystal direction. The behavior of the diffraction peak width indicates partial disorder of the film upon photoexcitation that increases together with the laser fluence. © 2011 American Institute of Physics.     Smart wearable stress monitoring device for autistic children

    Vital sign monitoring is the process of recording human physiological signals in order to determine the mental stress level. High stress levels can prove tobe dangerous especially for certain individuals such as autistic children who are not able to express mounting levels of stress before it leads to a full anxiety attack. This paper presents the prototype design of a real-time embedded device that accurately measures heart rate and galvanic skin response (GSR) in a non-invasive and non-intrusive way which is then used by the intelligent decision making module that uses fuzzy logic to determine the stress level of the user. Such a device could be used with autistic children in order to give early warning of an impending anxiety attack and help adults to prevent it from happening. The prototype was designed using Arduino mega platform and tested with 35 clinical patients in three experimental settings targeted to induce low stress, medium stress and high stress response. Initial results have shown that the device is capable of detecting and displaying the various stress levels efficiently

    Manajemen tata ruang wilayah Kabupaten Bandung telah diatur dalam bentuk Peraturan Daerah (PERDA) yakni PERDA Kabupaten Bandung Nomor 27 Tahun 2016. Saat ini belum ada fasilitas yang dapat digunakan sebagai media penyebaran informasi mengenai Rencana Tata Ruang Wilayah (RTRW) supaya mudah diakses oleh masyarakat yang akan memanfaatkan ruang di wilayah Kabupaten Bandung. Penyebaran informasi tentang RTRW menjadi sangat penting untuk menghindari kesalahan dalam penggunaan wilayah oleh masyarakat. Dalam pengembangan sistem informasi geografis pada penelitian ini akan memanfaatkan konsep Participatory GIS. Penggunaan konsep Participatory GIS dilakukan berdasarkan tujuan dihasilkannya perencanaan tata ruang yang tepat guna sesuai dengan atudan yang sudah ditetapkan

    Formulation design and evaluation of metronidazole microspheres in a bioadhesive gel for local therapy of vaginal candidiasis

    The purpose of this study was to design a novel vaginal delivery system composed of metronidazole microspheres dispersed within a bioadhesive gel. Microspheres were prepared by solvent evaporation method using Eudragit RS-100 and RL-100 polymers with different drug/polymer ratios. Microspheres were characterized by SEM, DSC, FT-IR and particle size analysis and evaluated for morphology, drug loading and in vitro drug release in simulated vaginal fluid. The % yield, actual drug loading and encapsulation were found to range between 79 ± 0.5 to 94 ± 0.6%, 19.6 ± 0.27 to 35.91 ± 0.66 %, 69.3 ± 0.78 to 81.2 ± 0.36 %, respectively. The FT-IR and DSC spectra revealed that there was no chemical interaction between drug and polymers used. SEM revealed that microspheres were spherical with nearly smooth surface morphology with a mean particle size ranging from 177 ± 0.4 to 456 ± 0.5 µm. The formulation F9 have shown better in vitro release 99 % at 10 h. To achieve bioadhesion to mucosal tissue, formulation F9 was incorporated in the bioadhesive gel made of carbopol 934P. Metronidazole microspheres gel (MTZMG) was characterized by in vitro drug release and antifungal activity. The drug release was controlled up to12 h. Inhibition effect on the C. albicans j1012 growth, suggested their effectiveness in the treatment of vaginal candidiasis. It may be concluded from present study that MTZ-MG can be used as a novel delivery system for local therapy of vaginal candidiasis.Colegio de Farmacéuticos de la Provincia de Buenos Aire
