QCD Propagators at non-vanishing temperatures
We investigate the behaviour of the gluon and ghost propagators, especially
their infrared properties, at non-vanishing temperatures. To this end we solve
their Dyson-Schwinger equations on a torus and find an infrared enhanced ghost

Resonant tunneling through a C60 molecular junction in liquid environment
We present electronic transport measurements through thiolated C
molecules in liquid environment. The molecules were placed within a
mechanically controllable break junction using a single anchoring group per
molecule. When varying the electrode separation of the C-modified
junctions, we observed a peak in the conductance traces. The shape of the
curves is strongly influenced by the environment of the junction as shown by
measurements in two distinct solvents. In the framework of a simple resonant
tunneling model, we can extract the electronic tunneling rates governing the

Do null subjects really transfer?
Evidence for null subject transfer in early L2 acquisition has come almost exclusively from grammaticality judgment (GJ) tasks, in which early learners show about 30-40% acceptance of ungrammatical English sentences with null subjects. This contrasts curiously with early production data, in which the proportion of null subjects is generally low. The current study reexamines null-subject transfer in L2 English acquisition by adult speakers of Spanish. Three tasks are used: a production task, a GJ task, and a novel comprehension task designed to assess learners' interpretations of null-subject sentences. The same learners who accept null-subject sentences in the GJ task are nonetheless shown to be native-like in the comprehension task, even at the earliest stages of learning. This finding suggests that they do not have referential pro at their disposal to interpret sentences without overt subjects as declaratives, and raises the theoretical question of whether referential pro is subject to transfer, or whether it constitutes a principled limitation to transfer in L2 acquisition
Long-term organic matter application reduces cadmium but not zinc concentrations in wheat
Wheat is a staple food crop and a major source of both the essential micronutrient zinc (Zn) and the toxic heavy metal cadmium (Cd) for humans. Since Zn and Cd are chemically similar, increasing Zn concentrations in wheat grains (biofortification), while preventing Cd accumulation, is an agronomic challenge. We used two Swiss agricultural long-term field trials, the “Dynamic-Organic-Conventional System Comparison Trial” (DOK) and the “Zurich Organic Fertilization Experiment” (ZOFE), to investigate the impact of long-term organic, mineral and combined fertilizer inputs on total and phytoavailable concentrations of soil Zn and Cd and their accumulation in winter wheat ( L.). “Diffusive gradients in thin films” (DGT) and diethylene-triaminepentaacetic acid (DTPA) extraction were used as proxies for plant available soil metals. Compared to unfertilized controls, long-term organic fertilization with composted manure or green waste compost led to higher soil organic carbon, cation exchange capacity and pH, while DGT-available Zn and Cd concentrations were reduced. The DGT method was a strong predictor of shoot and grain Cd, but not Zn concentrations. Shoot and grain Zn concentrations correlated with DTPA-extractable and total soil Zn concentrations in the ZOFE, but not the DOK trial. Long-term compost fertilization led to lower accumulation of Cd in wheat grains, but did not affect grain Zn. Therefore, Zn/Cd ratios in the grains increased. High Zn and Cd inputs with organic fertilizers and high Cd inputs with phosphate fertilizers led to positive Zn and Cd mass balances when taking into account atmospheric deposition and fertilizer inputs. On the other hand, mineral fertilization led to the depletion of soil Zn due to higher yields and thus higher Zn exports than under organic management. The study supports the use of organic fertilizers for reducing Cd concentrations of wheat grains in the long-term, given that the quality of the fertilizers is guaranteed
A practical guide to the handling and administration of talimogene laherparepvec in Europe.
Talimogene laherparepvec is a herpes simplex virus-1-based intralesional oncolytic immunotherapy and is the first oncolytic virus to be approved in Europe. It is indicated for the treatment of adults with unresectable melanoma that is regionally or distantly metastatic (stage IIIB, IIIC, and IVM1a) with no bone, brain, lung, or other visceral disease. Talimogene laherparepvec is a genetically modified viral therapy, and its handling needs special attention due to its deep freeze, cold-chain requirements, its potential for viral shedding, and its administration by direct intralesional injection. This review provides a practical overview of handling, storage, and administration procedures for this agent in Europe. Talimogene laherparepvec vials should be transported/stored frozen at a temperature of -90°C to -70°C, and once thawed, vials must not be refrozen. Universal precautions for preparation, administration, and handling should be followed to avoid accidental exposure. Health care providers should wear personal protective equipment, and materials that come into contact with talimogene laherparepvec should be disposed of in accordance with local institutional procedures. Individuals who are immunocompromised or pregnant should not prepare or administer this agent. Talimogene laherparepvec is administered by intralesional injection into cutaneous, subcutaneous, and/or nodal lesions that are visible, palpable, or detectable by ultrasound. Treatment should be continued for ≥6 months. As with other immunotherapies, patients may experience an increase in the size of existing lesion(s) or the appearance of new lesions (ie, progression) prior to achieving a response ("pseudo-progression"). As several health care professionals (eg, physicians [dermatologists, surgeons, oncologists, radiologists], pharmacists, nurses) are involved in different stages of the process, there is a need for good interdisciplinary collaboration when using talimogene laherparepvec. Although there are specific requirements for this agent's storage, handling, administration, and disposal, these can be effectively managed in a real-world clinical setting through the implementation of training programs and straightforward standard operating procedures
Temperature Dependence of Gluon and Ghost Propagators in Landau-Gauge Yang-Mills Theory below the Phase Transition
The Dyson-Schwinger equations of Landau-gauge Yang-Mills theory for the gluon
and ghost propagators are investigated. Numerical results are obtained within a
truncation scheme which has proven to be successful at vanishing temperature.
For temperatures up to 250 MeV we find only minor quantitative changes in the
infrared behaviour of the gluon and ghost propagators. The effective action
calculated from these propagators is temperature-independent within the

Green manure and long-term fertilization effects on available soil zinc and cadmium and their accumulation by wheat (Triticum aestivum L.)
Zinc (Zn) deficiency in humans due to imbalanced diets is a global nutritional problem. It is especially widespread in populations of low-income countries depending on cereals as staple food. Grain Zn concentrations are particularly low in cereals grown on soils with low phytoavailable Zn concentrations. . Plant Zn uptake depends on soil properties such as pH, calcium carbonate, iron and manganese oxides, total Zn and organic matter content (OM). Soil pH, total Zn and OM can be influenced on farms with limited access to mineral fertilizers through organic matter management practises. In this study, we investigated to what extent green manure application could increase soil Zn availability and wheat grain Zn concentrations (biofortification) on soil with different long-term fertilizer management
High-Temperature Limit of Landau-Gauge Yang-Mills Theory
The infrared properties of the high-temperature limit of Landau-gauge
Yang-Mills theory are investigated. In a first step the high-temperature limit
of the Dyson-Schwinger equations is taken. The resulting equations are
identical to the Dyson-Schwinger equations of the dimensionally reduced theory,
a three-dimensional Yang-Mills theory coupled to an effective adjoint Higgs
field. These equations are solved analytically in the infrared and ultraviolet,
and numerically for all Euclidean momenta. We find infrared enhancement for the
Faddeev-Popov ghosts, infrared suppression for transverse gluons and a mass for
the Higgs. These results imply long-range interactions and over-screening in
the chromomagnetic sector of high temperature Yang-Mills theory while in the

Transition temperature of a dilute homogeneous imperfect Bose gas
The leading-order effect of interactions on a homogeneous Bose gas is
theoretically predicted to shift the critical temperature by an amount
\Delta\Tc = # a_{scatt} n^{1/3} T_0 from the ideal gas result T_0, where
a_{scatt} is the scattering length and n is the density. There have been
several different theoretical estimates for the numerical coefficient #. We
claim to settle the issue by measuring the numerical coefficient in a lattice
simulation of O(2) phi^4 field theory in three dimensions---an effective theory
which, as observed previously in the literature, can be systematically matched
to the dilute Bose gas problem to reproduce non-universal quantities such as
