Gênero e raça na desigualdade social brasileira recente

This paper presents the differences in personal income related with gender and ethnic group, in Brazil, identifying a sharp hierarchy: white men (except afro Americans), white women, afro Americans (and descendents) and afro Americans women.The available evidences shows that these inequalities are not expressive within each social level or socioccupational group. In other words, the afro Americans and the women who reach the finest strata are quite close of the regular condition of the same groups. In this sense, the distortions are located mostly in inequality in the access condition to better-remunerated occupations.ESTE TRABALHO apresenta as diferenças nos rendimentos pessoais relacionados com raça e gênero, no Brasil dos últimos anos, identificando uma nítida hierarquia: homens brancos (não negros), mulheres brancas, homens negros (e pardos) e mulheres negras. As evidências disponíveis revelam que essas desigualdades são pouco expressivas no interior de cada nível social ou grupo sociocupacional. Em outras palavras, os negros e mulheres que conseguem ingressar nos estratos melhor situados aproximam-se das condições prevalecentes nos mesmos. Assim sendo, as distorções localizar-se-iam sobretudo nas condições desiguais de acesso às ocupações melhor remuneradas

TIPOLOGIA MUNICIPAL DE CLASSES SÓCIO-OCUPACIONAIS: UMA NOVA DIMENSÃO PARA ANÁLISE DAS DESIGUALDADES TERRITORIAIS NO BRASIL

O objetivo principal deste trabalho é propor uma nova configuração para o território brasileiro, fornecendo uma relevante dimensão para análise das desigualdades sociais brasileiras. A hipótese central é que a estrutura social, uma conjugação entre inserção no mercado de trabalho (classe ocupacional) e faixa de renda per capita (estrato social) das famílias brasileiras, é capaz de identificar padrões sociais que cumprem papel essencial nas análises sobre as condições de vida da população. Para cumprir tal objetivo, este trabalho foi estruturado em três partes principais: i) descrição da metodologia de estratificação social; ii) identificação dos grupos de municípios relativamente homogêneos de desenvolvimento da estrutura social (perfis sociais) e análise espacial desta configuração; iii) análise das desigualdades territoriais brasileiras utilizando o perfil social como variável de controle.---------------------------------------------The main purpose of this work is to propose a new configuration of Brazilian territory, providing a relevant dimension to the analysis of Brazilian social inequalities. The recent discussion about the new middle class in Brazil is quite timely and should be encouraged, as it highlights the great social changes that have occurred since the resumption of the fastest economic growth in the Lula government (2003-2010). Part of the analysts focus on the high generation of new occupational opportunities and the improvement in the incomes of the people already occupied; others emphasize the emergence of an exuberant contingent of new consumers and the rapid expansion of consumption by the popular strata. In this text, we intend to make a brief reexamination about the occurrence and the question of the middle class, with the purpose of contributing to the understanding of the emergence of class "C" or the so-called new middle class of the 2000s in Brazil

COMPOSTOS ORGÂNICOS VOLÁTEIS BIOGÊNICOS EMITIDOS A PARTIR DE VEGETAÇÃO E SEU PAPEL NO OZÔNIO TROPOSFÉRICO URBANO

Compostos orgânicos voláteis biogênicos (COVB) emitidos a partir fontes naturais (tipicamente florestas e vegetação rasteira) desempenham um papel importante na química da atmosfera, particularmente na baixa atmosfera (troposfera). Tais compostos superam, muitas vezes, as emissões resultantes da atividade humana e compreendem tipicamente isoprenos e terpenos, além de outros compostos orgânicos em menor concentração (álcoois, ésteres, ácidos orgânicos, etc.). Apesar de sua participação representativa na química da atmosfera (chuva ácida, ozônio troposférico, influência na capacidade oxidativa do ar), poucos são os estudos reportados na língua portuguesa abrangendo esses compostos, mesmo sendo o Brasil um país com a maior floresta tropical do mundo, fato que este que, por si só, já justificaria uma vasta pesquisa nessa área. Tais pesquisas deveriam compreender não apenas técnicas de amostragem e análise mais apropriadas e específicas a esses casos mas ainda um maior entendimento dos impactos regionais desses gases atrelados àqueles já decorrentes de emissões antropogênicas

Socio-occupational structure in Brazil

Este trabalho analisa a distribuição de grupos sócio-ocupacionais do mercado de trabalho brasileiro. Para cumprir com o objetivo proposto, apresenta alguns dos principais elementos do processo de formação das estruturas sociais modernas e analisa a composição dos grupos sócio-ocupacionais identificados em relação a uma série de características socioeconômicas. O pressuposto dessas análises é que a combinação entre a inserção ocupacional e o rendimento dos indivíduos cumpre um papel fundamental na definição dos complexos padrões sociais brasileiros. De maneira geral, a estrutura sócio-ocupacional proposta permite destacar o elevado grau de desigualdade e o baixo padrão sócio-ocupacional brasileiro, além de discriminar consistentemente importantes grupos socioeconômicos da população143443468This paper analyzes the distribution of socio-occupational groups in the Brazilian labor market. In order to reach such purpose, this paper introduces some key elements of the process of formation of the modern social structure and analyzes the composition of such socio-occupational groups in relation to a series of socioeconomic characteristics. The hypothesis of these analyses is that the combination of occupational position and individual income plays an important role defining the complexity of the Brazilian social patterns.
