Agricultural and rural development is an important component of national development, and is of great significance to national food security, economic development, urban-rural integration, social harmony, and ecological environment protection. The coordinated development of rural revitalization and new urbanization, like “the wings of a bird and the wheels of a car”, is an intrinsic requirement for promoting national development. However, in the process of urban-rural development, the urban-biased policies have continuously widened the gap between urban and rural areas, which has seriously hindered the pace of national modernization. Based on the current academic research, this paper compares the views of scholars at both domestic and international, and makes a comprehensive collation of relevant concepts. At the same time, it combines dual economics, regional economic development, and the theory of urban-rural relations of Marx and Engels to make an in-depth analysis of the coupling mechanism between the rural revitalization and new urbanization. Eventually, in view of the existing problems, this paper proposes that future research should be deepened in the following three aspects: the connotation and interactive mechanism of China’s rural revitalization and new urbanization, the coupling relationship between the two items, and the construction of an evaluation index system for the coordinated development of them

After collecting data, descriptive statistics were used to explain crucial aspects. Results: The results of convenience, usefulness, trust, and loyalty can explain Livestream shopping systems' potential. Live streaming shopping connects factories, suppliers, and consumers directly. Customers can deal with suppliers, influencers, steamers, or net-idols on pricing, quality, custom needs, promotions, discounts, etc. Influencers, steamers, or net-idols entertain and give ideas for selling things while live streaming. Conclusions: The research findings have met the research objectives. This study paper's weaknesses include its China-centric focus. The research findings may only apply to China and no other countries

A view of the Green Line: a renewal plan for visual experience in Chicago’s South Side stations

Elevated rapid railroads have special visual qualities. Riders can see how the city is organized, the shape of the city`s skyline, city land use, and most important, how the city relates to itself. This thesis uses a phenomenological approach to visual theory that expands upon the seminal work of Appleyard, Lynch et al (1962), Halprin (1966), Venturi, Brown et al (1972) and Dorfles (1962). Chicago`s metropolitan area is divided and the south and the north sides have striking differences. The city land that parallels the elevated rapid transit railroad, in particular the urban vacant land, may serve as a visual assets both to riders and neighborhoods. This speculative design project proposes sequential forms that not only shape the elevated rapid transit railroad visual experience and deepen the rider`s grasp of the meaning of the South Side of Chicago, but may also retell the story of this racialized landscape. The thesis presents an analysis of visual and demographic data and projects a series of alternative speculative insertions in the urban landscape. The results have potential significance for urban design, landscape architecture, and art. By developing the experience of moving from a point of view from the elevated railroad, this thesis analyzes the value of landscape experience and suggests a new approach to urban landscape

Assessing the eco-efficiency of cruise tourism at the national level: Determinants, challenges, and opportunities for sustainable development

    Get PDF
In the face of the cruise industry\u27s rapid global expansion and its significant interplay with national tourism, economic growth, and environmental conservation, a notable gap exists in comprehensively evaluating its eco-efficiency. This study aims to fill this gap by implementing a novel analytical framework, merging the undesirable slack-based measure (SBM) model with fraction regression model (FRM) analysis. This approach is designed to dissect the complex relationship between economic development, environmental impact, and resource consumption in the context of cruise tourism. The study applies this integrated methodology to data from 11 countries, spanning from 2010 to 2018. The findings reveal marked differences in eco-efficiency across nations, with Australia and Japan standing out for their exemplary practices in natural ecology management and balanced cruise ship development. On the other hand, nations like Italy and Singapore, while supportive of the cruise industry, exhibit areas for improvement in market expansion and leveraging regional advantages. The research also brings to light the dual challenge for developing countries, such as China and Brazil, in balancing economic gains from cruise tourism with environmental concerns. A significant revelation of this study is the substantial influence of a nation\u27s per capita GDP and the rigor of environmental regulations on eco-efficiency in cruise tourism. This highlights the critical role of economic stability and policy frameworks in steering the industry towards sustainability. Interestingly, factors like foreign trade, industrial structure, and R&D investments appear to have a less pronounced impact on eco-efficiency. Moreover, the study presents a structured approach to enhance sustainability in the cruise industry, categorizing countries by eco-efficiency and returns to scale. This categorization leads to tailored recommendations for each group, focusing on the unique challenges and strengths of different nations, thus promoting effective, targeted strategies for sustainable development. Overall, the study provides a comprehensive framework for evaluating and enhancing sustainability practices in this rapidly growing industry. It also outlines potential areas for future research, considering the limitations of the current approach, thereby paving the way for further exploration into the sustainable evolution of cruise tourism

Case report: The first case of concurrent breast myeloid sarcoma and borderline phyllodes tumor with malignant features

    Get PDF
BackgroundMyeloid sarcoma (MS) is a rare hematological malignancy characterized by the formation of a solid mass of myeloblasts outside the bone marrow, such as in the lymph nodes, skin, or bone. MS may arise de novo or concurrently with acute myeloid leukemia (AML), myeloproliferative neoplasm (MPN), or myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS). MS accounts for less than 1% of extramedullary acute myeloid leukemia cases. Phyllodes tumors (PTs) are a rare fibroepithelial breast tumor that can be benign, malignant, or borderline, and account for less than 1% of all breast cancers.Case presentationWe present a unique case of a 50-year-old woman with both breast MS and borderline PT with malignant features, which presented a diagnostic challenge. The patient initially presented with a mass in her right breast, and the initial fine-needle biopsy revealed the presence of immature myeloperoxidase (MPO)+ myeloid cells consistent with MS. Subsequent pathological analysis of tumor tissues after neoadjuvant radiotherapy and chemotherapy showed a borderline PT with malignant features. Following excision of the tumor, the patient experienced a local recurrence, which was also surgically removed. At 8 months post-surgery, the patient remains free of recurrence under close follow-up.ConclusionThis case highlights the importance of considering the possibility of concurrent malignancies in the differential diagnosis of complex breast masses and underscores the challenges involved in diagnosing and managing such cases. Additionally, we also emphasize the value of neoadjuvant radiotherapy and chemotherapy in MS

A fuzzy-clustering based approach for MADM handover in 5G ultra-dense networks

    Get PDF
As the global data traffic has significantly increased in the recent year, the ultra-dense deployment of cellular networks (UDN) is being proposed as one of the key technologies in the fifth-generation mobile communications system (5G) to provide a much higher density of radio resource. The densification of small base stations could introduce much higher inter-cell interference and lead user to meet the edge of coverage more frequently. As the current handover scheme was originally proposed for macro BS, it could cause serious handover issues in UDN i.e. ping-pong handover, handover failures and frequent handover. In order to address these handover challenges and provide a high quality of service (QoS) to the user in UDN. This paper proposed a novel handover scheme, which integrates both advantages of fuzzy logic and multiple attributes decision algorithms (MADM) to ensure handover process be triggered at the right time and connection be switched to the optimal neighbouring BS. To further enhance the performance of the proposed scheme, this paper also adopts the subtractive clustering technique by using historical data to define the optimal membership functions within the fuzzy system. Performance results show that the proposed handover scheme outperforms traditional approaches and can significantly minimise the number of handovers and the ping-pong handover while maintaining QoS at a relatively high level. © 2019, Springer Science+Business Media, LLC, part of Springer Nature
