Generally, a non-mental health physician would be liable under the rubric of medical malpractice only if the sexual relationship was commenced under the guise of medical treatment. Recent cases, however, have expanded liability in certain circumstances when the physician-patient relationship has involved counseling matters. Counseling matters describes talking to patients about their feelings, or discussing personal problems not necessarily related to their proposed treatment. Medical treatment supplemented by counseling purportedly requires greater scrutiny due to the higher levels of trust and confidence necessary to protect the patients\u27 interests. Politica e governo del territorio in Italia e in Campania arretrano rispetto ai principi democratici di solidarietà umana, pari opportunità e conciliazione. L’attuale organizzazione economica, fondata esclusivamente su sovrapproduzione di merci e globalizzazione del loro trasporto e commercializzazione, condiziona la trasformazione dei territori e la qualità della vita delle comunità locali a maggior ragione nei momenti di crisi come quelli in atto. La crisi finanziaria ed economica mondiale accentua il disagio nella conciliazione perché la già ridotta presenza di servizi alla persona, alla famiglia e per il territorio ha progressivamente disgregato la qualità della vita di ogni essere umano ed in particolare dei soggetti più deboli. Il circolo vizioso che si viene a determinare dall’assenza dei servizi, in quanto meno ce ne sono e meno se ne richiedono, a discapito di tutte le conquiste raggiunte nei paesi europei nella seconda metà del ‘900, peggiora la qualità della vita. Progettare una città al femminile significa avere cura dei luoghi e rispettare le esigenze e i fabbisogni di bambini, anziani, famiglie e delle donne stesse che costituiscono il corpo della società e non una minoranza, significa realizzare e garantire i luoghi per la conciliazione. Il recupero prudente delle preesistenze per non sprecare risorse naturali ed economiche è alla base dell’approccio di genere per la conservazione di città e paesaggi contro scenari di metropoli capitaliste in concorrenza a megalopoli schiaviste della Cindia e dei paesi dell’America Latina e dell’Africa. Il Coordinamento Napoletano “Donne nella Scienza” si è occupato del tema della sostenibilità ambientale all’impatto antropico nella progettazione della città e del territorio con il Convegno del marzo 2009, dal titolo Natura, Storia e Città: interazioni ed evoluzione. Le promotrici e le studiose hanno fatto emergere il pensiero della differenza nella costruzione di una società più democratica, attenta alle istanze dell’integrazione, tutela sociale, conservazione della biodiversità ed equa distribuzione di risorse naturali ed energetiche nel progetto di città per la conciliazione. In particolare, per far fronte alla crescita incontrollata della conurbazione che ha interessato i suoli più fertili della Campania, è stato proposto il riequilibrio dell’armatura urbana con l’accorpamento degli attuali 551 Comuni della Regione in 100 Città Medie, oltre Napoli, anticipando uno dei punti più dibattuti della finanziaria dell’agosto 2011, proposta dal Ministro Tremonti, con la previsione dell’accorpamento dei piccoli Comuni al di sotto dei mille abitanti. L’idea alternativa della composizione delle Città Medie e di una costellazione policentrica diviene il presupposto del pensiero politico e di governo del territorio fondato sulla redistribuzione di beni e servizi per favorire le politiche della conciliazione per le famiglie ed il lavoro. Progettare una città per la pacificazione dei tempi tra la famiglia ed il lavoro significa alternare il costruito a parchi e giardini, dotare i luoghi urbani di spazi per offrire i servizi alla persona, alla famiglia, alla comunità e al territorio per la sosta e il tempo libero, rendere accessibili gli spazi dedicati al lavoro come all’abitare e controllare la salubrità delle residenze e la sicurezza

Contains fulltext : 108957.pdf (publisher's version ) (Open Access)The development of the basic architecture of branching tubules enclosing a central lumen that characterizes most epithelial organs crucially depends on the apico-basolateral polarization of epithelial cells. Signals from the extracellular matrix control the orientation of the apical surface, so that it faces the lumen interior, opposite to cell-matrix adhesion sites. This orientation of the apical surface is thought to be intrinsically linked to the formation of single lumens. We previously demonstrated in three-dimensional cyst cultures of Madin-Darby canine kidney (MDCK) cells that signaling by beta1 integrins regulates the orientation of the apical surface, via a mechanism that depends on the activity of the small GTPase Rac1. Here, we investigated whether the Rac1 effector Pak1 is a downstream effector in this pathway. Expression of constitutive active Pak1 phenocopies the effect of beta1 integrin inhibition in that it misorients the apical surface and induces a multilumen phenotype. The misorientation of apical surfaces depends on the interaction of active Pak1 with PIX proteins and is linked to defects in basement membrane assembly. In contrast, the multilumen phenotype was independent of PIX and the basement membrane. Therefore, Pak1 likely regulates apical polarization and lumen formation by two distinct pathways

The sternocleidomastoid muscle (SCM), which is responsible for the mechanical action in the majority of the head movements, is also considered an accessory muscle for respiration. Its action in the inspiratory movements was studied electromyographically in 30 healthy young adults by considering the types of respiration, the different forms of deep inspiration, the breathing effort and the body position of these subjects. A prominent activity was found in those subjects whose respiration was of the costal type when they breathed rapidly and roughly and during the breathing effort. An outstanding difference of the action potentials of the SCM muscle was not observed during variation of the body positions.34531532
