This report intends to present the results from the investigation carried out as the first level of analysis between Technology for Information, the Social Services System and the Social Works. In the word of New Technology, the work was based upon the application of information technology to the Social Services and it ́s repercussions on Social Work, for this reason SIUSS was chosen as the most significant reference, as it is the computer programme most used within this context in Spain. The point of departure of the analysis is the “fusión” wich in the Administration context is produced within the Social Work and the Social Services System. This “fusion” mainly derives from the Social Services wich is our main workfield of our profession. The fact that in Spain the most important advance of the profession coincided and it was finally owed to the implementation and development of the Social Services System which supposed an identification of the profession- the beurocratization of Social Work. Although it is imposible to deny this reality, however it is necesary to highlight that beaurocracy both derives from and caracterizes the Social Services System, and it is within the Social Work context, something fundamental, and it is imposible to keep away from the beurocracy conditions created by the Administration. From this point of reference,a qualitative investigation with an explorative caracter was under taken to look at the efficiency and efficacy of the SIUSS as a system used for the registration of computerised data by the Social Service
