16 p.El constructo “capital psicológico”, creado por Fred Luthans, se define como un estado de desarrollo psicológico positivo del ser humano, que lo caracteriza por (a) tener confianza (autoeficacia) para realizar los esfuerzos que sean necesarios con el fin de alcanzar el éxito en tareas retadoras; (b) hacer atribuciones de causalidad positivas (optimismo) acerca de los sucesos presentes y futuros; (c) perseverar en el logro de los objetivos y, cuando sea necesario, redireccionar los caminos para alcanzarlos (esperanza) de manera exitosa; y (d) al ser blanco de los problemas y la adversidad, mantenerse en pie, volver a comenzar e ir más allá (resiliencia) para lograr el éxito (Luthans, Youssef & Avolio, 2007a, 2007b). Este constructo ha surgido a partir de investigación empírica dentro del comportamiento organizacional positivo, y se ha identificado como un factor nuclear (core factor) de segundo orden (Avey, Patera & West, 2006). Catalytic oxidation of methane over PdO in wire microcalorimetry

A two-dimensional model of a weakly buoyant flow over a horizontal wire with surface reaction was developed, using a literature mechanism, to simulate the heat release rate of the catalytic oxidation of methane (2 vol.% in air) over a Pd wire with a porous 1-2 mu m PdO surface layer, acquired by wire microcalorimetry over the temperature range of 600-770 K. The experimental and simulation results demonstrate that the catalytic oxidation is characterized by a low-temperature, reaction-controlled regime in which the internal pore surface is totally accessible to the reactions, and a high-temperature regime in which finite-rate pore diffusion also affects the overall heat release rate. Furthermore, the controlling reactions are identified to be the oxidative adsorption of methane, desorption of oxygen, and adsorption of oxygen, with the former two being facilitating and the last retarding. The reaction mechanism was modified using the response surface methodology and the experimental data in the low-temperature reaction-controlled regime, yielding satisfactory prediction of the global activation energy and identification of the role of oxygen coverage in the transition of the global activation energy

EVS Trend File 1981-2017 – Sensitive Dataset

The European Values Study is a large-scale, cross-national and longitudinal survey research program on how Europeans think about family, work, religion, politics, and society. Repeated every nine years in an increasing number of countries, the survey provides insights into the ideas, beliefs, preferences, attitudes, values, and opinions of citizens all over Europe. The EVS Trend File 1981-2017 is constructed from the five EVS waves and covers almost 40 years. In altogether 160 surveys, more than 224.000 respondents from 48 countries/regions were interviewed. It is based on the updated data of the EVS Longitudinal Data File 1981-2008 (v.3.1.0) and the current EVS 2017 Integrated Dataset (v.5.0.0). For the EVS Trend File, a Restricted-Use File (ZA7504) is available in addition to the (factually anonymised) Scientific-Use File (ZA7503). The EVS Trend File – Sensitive Dataset (ZA7504) is provided as an add-on file.
