Analysis and Simulation of the Signals Transmission in the DVB-H/SH Standards

Tato disertační práce se zabývá analýzou, simulací a měřením zpracování a přenosu signálů digitální televize pro příjem mobilního TV vysílání ve standardech DVB-H a DVB-SH. Tyto standardy vycházejí z předpokladu, že příjem signálu je charakterizován modely přenosových kanálů s vícecestným šířením. Tyto, tzv. únikové kanály, jsou charakterizovány hlavně zpožděním a ziskem jednotlivých cest. V závislosti na dalších parametrech (rychlost přijímače, Dopplerovské spektrum), je možné rozdělit únikové kanály do třech hlavních skupin: mobilní, přenosné a fixní. Dá se předpokládat, že v různých modelech kanálů bude přenášený signál různě ovlivněn. Proto je potřebné najít optimální parametry systémů (DVB-H/SH) pro kvalitní příjem vysílaných služeb mobilní televize, což je hlavním cílem této disertační práci. Pro tento účel byly vytvořeny dvě vhodné aplikace (jedna pro DVB-H a jedna pro DVB-SH) s GUI v prostředí MATLAB, které umožňují simulovat a analyzovat míru zkreslení signálu v případě mobilních, přenosných a fixních scénářů přenosu. Navíc, tyto aplikace obsahují i druhý samostatný simulátor pro nastavení a modifikaci parametrů jednotlivých přenosových cest. Díky tomu je možné zhodnotit vliv parametrů celého systému a kanálových modelů na dosaženou chybovost (BER a MER) a kvalitu přenosu. Ve všech přenosových scénářích (v závislosti na poměru C/N) byly získané, vyhodnocené a diskutované zkreslení signálů. Navíc, u standardu DVB-H, všechny získané výsledky ze simulací byly ověřeny měřením. Rozdíly mezi dosaženými výsledky (simulace a měření) byly rovněž podrobeny diskuzi. Tuto disertační práci je možné rozdělit do čtyř hlavních částí. První část disertační práce se zabývá rešerší současného vývoje v oblasti digitálního televizního vysílání na mobilní terminály ve standardech DVB-H/SH. Na konci této části jsou jasně popsány cíle této disertační práce. Druhá část práce je zaměřená na stručný popis blokového diagramu vysílačů v obou standardech DVB-H/SH. Dále jsou stručně popsány modely přenosových kanálů, které se používají pro modelování přenosu signálu. Stručný popis vytvořených aplikací, i s vývojovým diagramem, které jsou vhodné pro simulaci a analýzu přenosu v DVB-H/SH, jsou popsány v třetí části práce. Čtvrtá a nejdelší část této disertační práce se zabývá vyhodnocením získaných výsledků ze simulací a měření.This dissertation thesis deals with the analysis, simulation and measurement of the signal processing and transmission in DVB-H and DVB-SH standards. These standards are based on the assumption that signal reception is characterized by the transmission channels with echoes. These, so called fading channels, are mainly characterized by the path delays and path losses. Depending on the other, additional features (speed of the receiver, Doppler spectrum, etc.), it can be possible divided these channels onto three main groups: mobile, portable and fixed. Of course, signal transmission in different transmission channel models are affected differently. Therefore, it is needed found the optimal system parameters in both, DVB-H and DVB-SH standards, for the quality reception of the broadcasted mobile TV services, which is the main goal of this thesis. For this purpose, two appropriate applications (one for DVB-H and one for DVB-SH) with GUI were created in MATLAB, which enable simulated and analyzed the signal distortions in mobile, portable and fixed transmission scenarios. Moreover, these applications also contain a second application with GUI for the easy set and modification of the parameters of the used channel models. Therefore, it is possible to evaluate the effect of parameters of whole system and channel models on the achieved error rate (BER and MER) and quality of the transmission. In all mentioned transmission scenarios, the signal distortions (depending on the Carrier-to-Noise ratio) were obtained, evaluated and discussed in this dissertation thesis. Furthermore, in case of DVB-H, all obtained results from the simulations, were verified by the measuring. Differences between the obtained results (simulation and measuring) are also discussed. This dissertation thesis can be divided into four main parts. The first part of this dissertation thesis, after the short introduction, deals with present state-of-the-art and literature survey in mobile broadcast DVB-H/SH standards. At the end of this part are clearly outlined the main aims of this dissertation thesis. Second part is focused on the brief description of the functional block diagram of transmitters in both, DVB-H/SH standards. Furthermore, there are briefly described the transmission fading channel models, which are commonly used for the modeling of the signal transmission. The brief description of program applications with flowcharts, appropriate for the simulation of the transmission in the DVB-H/SH standards, are presented and described in the third part of this thesis. Finally, the fourth and longest part of this thesis is focused on the evaluation and comparison of obtained results from the simulations and measurements.

"The Influence of the Development of Reference Interest Rates in Choosing Investment and Debt Financial Tools for Corporations - Case of the Czech Republic in 1997-2002s"

This paper focuses on the development of reference interest rates in the Czech Republic after the currency crisis of May 1997 and covers the period to the years 2002/2003 (that is to the time just before the country’s entry into the European Union) when the currency exchange of the Czech koruna (CZK) and interest rates were stabilised. The relatively high volatility of Czech reference interest rates in the late 1990’s influenced the development of company debt financing, forcing companies to become more sophisticated and dynamic in their use of debt instruments and hedging tools as they attempt to manage the subsequent interest rate risk. In this paper, the situation in three model corporations is also described – the first, a solvent company with a foreign owner (Moravian-Silesian Heating Company – MSHC, renamed to Dalkia Morava in 2002), the second, a solvent company with the Czech state as its majority owner (North Moravian Power Company – NMPC), and the third with domestic capital, which had economic problems during the given period (Vítkovice, a.s.), plus a big insurance company as a specific and very important institutional investor in domestic financial markets

The laser beam use in a production of parts for manipulating technique

Tato diplomová práce pojednává o laseru a jeho nasazení do výrobní sféry. Popisuje stručně princip, funkci a možnosti laseru a to převážně nasazení laseru při obrábění. Cíleně je zaměřena na možnosti nasazení laseru při řezání. Diplomová práce byla zpracována v rámci firmy Manex & Co, a. s., výrobce manipulační techniky. Ta disponuje CNC řezacím zařízením Bystronic, a ve svém provozu ji plně využívá. V rámci diplomové je vyráběno řetězové kolo z oceli ČSN 41 1373.This Diploma thesis trests of laser and his localisation in production sphere. It briefly describes principle, function and possibilities of laser, mainly laser technology by machining. It tafgets the possibilities of laser by cutting. The diploma thesis was elaborated in conjunction with the company Manex & Co, a. s., producer of handling systems. It disposes of CNC cutting machinery, which is fully engaged. A chain gear from ČSN 41 1363 was produced in terms of this diploma thesis.

Propfan engines in civil aviation transportation

Bakalářská práce je psaná rešeršní formou a pojednává o leteckých motorech koncepce propfan. Po představení samotné koncepce se první část zabývá principem fungování motorů a jejich propulsní účinností. Druhá část stručně popisuje konstrukci těchto motorů se zaměřením na specifické části odlišující motory koncepce propfan od ostatních leteckých motorů. Následně jsou shrnuty vlastnosti těchto motorů, popsány jejich výhody a nevýhody spolu s moţnostmi eliminace nevýhod. Nakonec je stručně popsána historie vývoje koncepce propfan.Bachelor thesis is written in the search form and discusses propfan aircraft engines. After introducing the concept itself, the first part deals with the principle functioning of engines and propulsion efficiency. The second part briefly describes the construction of these engines with a focus on specific parts of propfan engines differentiating concept from other aircraft engines. Then summarizes the features of these engines, describes their advantages and disadvantages and the possibilities of eliminating disadvantages. Finally briefly describes the history of the development of propfan engines.

Descriptional Complexity of the Languages KaL: Automata, Monoids and Varieties

The first step when forming the polynomial hierarchies of languages is to consider languages of the form KaL where K and L are over a finite alphabet A and from a given variety V of languages, a being a letter from A. All such KaL's generate the variety of languages BPol1(V). We estimate the numerical parameters of the language KaL in terms of their values for K and L. These parameters include the state complexity of the minimal complete DFA and the size of the syntactic monoids. We also estimate the cardinality of the image of A* in the Schuetzenberger product of the syntactic monoids of K and L. In these three cases we obtain the optimal bounds. Finally, we also consider estimates for the cardinalities of free monoids in the variety of monoids corresponding to BPol1(V) in terms of sizes of the free monoids in the variety of monoids corresponding to V.Comment: In Proceedings DCFS 2010, arXiv:1008.127

Vila-House in Ostrava-Proskovice

Import 29/09/2010Bakalářská práce „Viladům v Ostravě – Proskovicích“ se zaměřuje na zpracování dokumentace provedení stavby. Jedná se o objekt se čtyřmi byty, ateliérem a fitness v přízemí objektu, který se nachází v příjemené lokalitě Ostrava – Proskovice. Viladům je postaven v systému Porotherm z hladkých částic. Svým tvarem zapadá do stávající zástavby, která je tvořena rodinnými domy a anglickými domky. Cílem bakalářské práce bylo vytvořit projekt jako dokumentace pro provádění staveb spolu s textovou části, jednotlivými výkresy a přílohami. Bylo nutností dodržet předpisy a normy pro vytvoření této dokumentace spolu s dalšími požadavky kladené na bakalářskou práci.The Bachelor thesis „Vila-House in Ostrava - Proskovice“ focuses on the processing of documentation of the building. It is a building with four apartments, and fitness studio in the ground floor, located in lovely site Ostrava - Proskovice. Vila-House is built into the system Porotherm of smooth particles. Its shape fits in with existing buildings, consisting of family houses and english cottages. The aim of this bachelor thesis was to create a documentation project for the construction of structures along with the text, drawings, and various attachments.
