Interaction of antiproton with helium based on ab-initio calculations

We present ionization cross sections for antiproton and helium collisions based on ab-initio time-dependent coupled channel method. In our calculations a finite basis set of regular helium Coulomb wave packets and Slater function were used. The semiclassical approximation was applied with the time-dependent Coulomb potential to describe the antiproton electron interaction. Three different projectile energies were considered as 10, 50 and 100 keV. We found clear evidence for the formation of the anti-cusp in the differential distributions.Comment: 17 pages and 3*3 figure

Electron Acceleration in Underdense Plasmas Described with a Classical Effective Theory

An effective theory of laser--plasma based particle acceleration is presented. Here we treated the plasma as a continuous medium with an index of refraction $n_{m}$ in which a single electron propagates. Because of the simplicity of this model, we did not need to perform PIC simulations in order to study the properties of the electron acceleration. We studied the properties of the electron motion due to the Lorentz force and the relativistic equations of motion were numerically solved and analysed. We compared our results to PIC simulations and experimental data. A comparison of the Hungarian mangalitza and Dutch organic pork chains

The aim of this paper is to present the Hungarian mangalitza pig and Dutch organic pig supply chains and, in interrogating the differences between the two sectors, to make suggestions for the efficient operation of the Hungarian mangalitza breeding sector. The information about the two was sourced by a depth interview and literature reviews. It is established that there are few similarities between the two segments. In both sectors, the pigs are kept outdoors in large paddocks, there are also National Associations: in Hungary, the Association of Mangalitza Breeders (NAMB), in The Netherlands, the Organic Pork Growers. They hold a general meeting every year, where they discuss issues such as volume, quality, price, marketing and the future challenges and opportunities. There is strong demand both for the mangalitza and also for Dutch organic pork products on foreign markets. The main difference between them is their information systems. In The Netherlands, information flows via FarmingNet, but in the mangalitza sector, no such system exists. Yet, such a system would represent a breaking point for the adequate flow of data and efficient production for the NAMB, because then, Hungarian farmers would be forced to supply data

A @RISK kockázatelemz? program hatékony segítséget nyújt a döntéshozók számára olyan helyzetekben, amikor nem ismert egy esemény bekövetkezésének valószín?sége. Napjainkban ez már nem okoz nehézséget, ugyanis olyan informatikai eszközök állnak rendelkezésünkre, amelyekkel a múltbeli és jelen információk ismeretében valamilyen szimulációs eljárás segítségével meg tudjuk határozni a jöv?ben várható jelenségek valószín?ségét. Tanulmányunkban a @RISK 4.5 Industrial verzióját használtuk. A program könny? kezelhet?ségét tükrözi, hogy négy f? lépésben végezhet? el a kockázatelemzés, majd az eredmények szemléletes ábrák segítségével mutathatók be. Munkánk során egy sertéstelepi b?vít? beruházás kockázatelemzését végeztük el a szoftver segítségével, amelynek eredményeképpen számszer?en meghatároztuk az egyes befolyásoló tényez?k hatását a beruházás megvalósíthatóságára vonatkozóan. Az esettanulmány alapján elmondható, hogy minden mutató esetében 50 százaléknál kevesebb volt a valószín?sége annak, hogy a beruházás megtérül, de fontos azt kiemelni, hogy a döntéshozó mindenkori kockázatvállalási hajlandóságán múlik a beruházás megvalósítása. Tanulmányunk fontos megállapítása az volt, hogy egy hagyományos beruházás-gazdaságossági vizsgálat során csak az egyes mutatók várható értékeit ismerhetjük meg, míg a program alkalmazásával a mutatók bekövetkezésének valószín?ségeit, azok eloszlásait és konfidencia intervallumait is megkaphatjuk.</jats:p

Analytic solutions of the Madelung equation

We present analytic self-similar solutions for the one, two and three dimensional Madelung hydrodynamical equation for a free particle. There is a direct connection between the zeros of the Madelung fluid density and the magnitude of the quantum potential.Comment: 10 pages, 3 figure

Electron Acceleration by a Bichromatic Chirped Laser Pulse in Underdense Plasmas

A theoretical study of laser and plasma based electron acceleration is presented. An effective model has been used, in which the presence of an underdense plasma has been taken account via its index of refraction $n_{m}$. In the confines of this model, the basic phenomena can be studied by numerically solving the classical relativistic equations of motion. The key idea of this paper is the application of chirped, bichromatic laser fields. We investigated the advantages and disadvantages of mixing the second harmonic to the original $\lambda = 800 \, \mathrm{nm}$ wavelength pulse.
