Asymptotic Expansion for the Magnetoconductance Autocorrelation Function

We complement a recent calculation (P.B. Gossiaux and the present authors, Ann. Phys. (N.Y.) in press) of the autocorrelation function of the conductance versus magnetic field strength for ballistic electron transport through microstructures with the shape of a classically chaotic billiard coupled to ideal leads. The function depends on the total number M of channels and the parameter t which measures the difference in magnetic field strengths. We determine the leading terms in an asymptotic expansion for large t at fixed M, and for large M at fixed t/M. We compare our results and the ones obtained in the previous paper with the squared Lorentzian suggested by semiclassical theory.Comment: submitted to Annals of Physics (N.Y.

Bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou bezdrátových komunikací, konkrétně bezdrátových sítí. Pojednává o standardu IEEE 802.11 a jeho modulacích. Dále se věnuje historii a vývoji bezdrátového připojení k síti, druhům a vlastnostem používaného hardwaru, a možnostem zabezpečení tohoto druhu připojení. V další části přibližuje současný stav v konkrétní společnosti, pokouší se o jeho zhodnocení a navrhuje inovace, které mohou přispět k pohodlnému přístupu na internet s patřičnou úrovní zabezpečení sítě.The bachelor’s thesis is about wireless communication, concretely wireless fidelity networks. It deals about IEEE 802.11 standard and also about its modulations. History, development, kinds and properties of wireless network and security is also mentioned. Current situation of one particular company is viewed in further part of the thesis. Some innovations in internet access and security of wireless communication in company network is suggested.

This thesis does not want to put emphasis on the precise definition of specific mathematic-statistics methods but inform basic principles of modern techniques for the most precise evaluation of fair values of the securitites not only in the stock exchange world. In first part we come to know with company ČEZ, a.s. with her main enterprise activities and operations on the Middle and South-east Europe markets. In the following part there will be introduced the main models serving for analysis of the stocks because without any academic basics we would not able to understand problems of the theme. There will be introduced the main attributes of the three analysis which reciprocally follow up. With more details will be shown the most used models to the evaluation of market price of the stock which serves for the investment recommendation to potential or existing investors. Furthermore we will deal with the basic principles of technical analysis as the oldest analytic instrument. In the fourth practical part the author will try to evaluate the present trend in the market price of the ČEZ stock by means of fundamental analysis and will describe the procedure in the quantification of stock target value. The fifth part will more explain a work of technical analyst and my personal experience with that analytic instrument. In the concluding part of the thesis is described the evaluation of the previous procedures and quantification of the investment recommendation. In conclusion there is a evaluation of the total asset of that thesis.Diplomová práce chce ukázat přístup finančních analytiků k ohodnocování cenných papírů. Tato práce si neklade za cíl přesné vymezení určitých matematicko-statistických postupů, nýbrž seznámit se se základními principy moderních metod používaných pro co nejpřesnější stanovení vnitřních hodnot cenných papírů nejen v burzovním světě. V první části se seznámíme se společností ČEZ, a.s., s její hlavní činností podnikání a působností na trzích střední a jihovýchodní Evropy. V následující části představím hlavní modely sloužící k analýze akcií neboť bez teoretických základů bychom nebyli schopni pochopit problematiku této látky. Představíme si hlavní rysy třech analýz, které se vzájemně doplňují. Detailněji si ukážeme nejvíce používané modely k vyhodnocení tržní ceny akcie, které slouží k investičnímu doporučení pro potencionální nebo stávající investory. Dále se budeme zabývat základními principy technické analýzy jako nejstaršího analytického nástroje. Ve čtvrté praktické části se autor pokusí vyhodnotit současný vývoj tržní ceny akcie ČEZu pomocí fundamentální analýzy a popíše postup při kvantifikaci cílové ceny akcie. Pátá část nám více přiblíží práci technického analytika a mojí vlastní zkušenost s tímto analytickým nástrojem. V závěrečné části práce, je popsáno zhodnocení předešlých postupů a stanovení investičního doporučení. V samotném závěru je zhodnocení celkového přínosu této práce

Diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou projektového řízení – řízení činností při vývoji software. Vedle vysvětlení základních pojmů z dané oblasti, pojednává o výhodách a nevýhodách některých známých postupů, které jsou při tvorbě softwaru často následovány. V praktické části je analyzován průběh konkrétního projektu, jeho zhodnocení a na jehož základě je dále navržena optimalizace použité metodiky vývoje, která by mohla pomoci při řízení podobných projektů v budoucnosti.The diploma thesis focuses on project management – managing of software development activities. It explains a basic terms of given issue and it also deals with advantages and disadvantages of some known practices and methods which are often followed when developing software. The practical part includes an analysis and evaluation of concrete project. This project is then the base for designing an optimization of software development methodology. Designed optimization will be able to help manage similar projects in future.

Technical economic study of LTO Dukovany NPP – the economic part, risk analysis, outputs and conclusions

T-E studie (TES) je základním zdrojem informací pro strategické rozhodnutí o provozu EDU po roce 2027. Výsledkem ekonomické části TES jsou výpočty na základě výstupů z hodnocení zařízení a dalších oblastí v technické části TES – čistá současná hodnota (NPV) variant LTO (LTO20, LTO30) jako hlavní parametr k výběru optimální varianty, citlivostní analýzy hlavních parametrů a hlavní rizika spojené s LTO. Výstupem TES je stanovení optimální varianty LTO a definování základních předpokladů a podmínek pro její zajištění.T-E study is a basic source of information for strategic decisions on operation of the Dukovany NPP after the year 2027. The result of the study are economic calculations on the basis of the outputs from the evaluation device and other areas in the technical part of the study – Net Present Value (NPV) of the variants of the LTO (LTO20, LTO30) as the main parameter to selection of the optimal variant, sensitivity analysis of the main parameters and the main risks associated with the LTO. Level Repulsion in Constrained Gaussian Random-Matrix Ensembles

Introducing sets of constraints, we define new classes of random-matrix ensembles, the constrained Gaussian unitary (CGUE) and the deformed Gaussian unitary (DGUE) ensembles. The latter interpolate between the GUE and the CGUE. We derive a sufficient condition for GUE-type level repulsion to persist in the presence of constraints. For special classes of constraints, we extend this approach to the orthogonal and to the symplectic ensembles. A generalized Fourier theorem relates the spectral properties of the constraining ensembles with those of the constrained ones. We find that in the DGUEs, level repulsion always prevails at a sufficiently short distance and may be lifted only in the limit of strictly enforced constraints.Comment: 20 pages, no figures.
