A Method for the Instantaneous Determination of the Velocity and Direction of the Wind

The laboratory instruments, which we often constructed with makeshift means, gave encouraging results and showed that they could satisfactorily meet the required conditions. By limiting ourselves to the employment of hot wires of 0.05 mm (0.002 in.) diameter, we obtained instruments which faithfully followed all the wind fluctuations of over 0.1 second and even much more rapid variations without any very great error

Patriarchal propaganda and manipulation in Dracula : in search of a new model of victorian femininity

Can Bram Stoker's Dracula be considered an item of patriarchal propaganda? What is the aim behind Mina Harker's manipulation in the novel? With regard to the first question, in this project I aim to approach Bram Stoker's Dracula as an element of patriarchal propaganda which presents a form of Victorian femininity that is in alignment with patriarchal values. The second aim of this TFG is to propose that this new model of Victorian female identity is achieved in the novel through the manipulation of the character of Mina Harker orchestrated by the group of men lead by Professor Van Helsing.Podríem considerar Dràcula, de Bram Stoker, com un element de propaganda patriarcal? Quin és l'objectiu rere la manipulació de Mina Harker en la novel·la? Quant a la primera pregunta, en aquest projecte es pretén tractar Dràcula com un element de propaganda patriarcal el qual presenta una forma de feminitat victoriana en consonància amb valors patriarcals. Pel que fa a la segona pregunta, en el present TFG es proposa que aquest nou model d'identitat femenina victoriana s'aconsegueix en la novel·la a través de la manipulació del personatge de Mina Harker, orquestrada pel grup d'homes liderat pel Professor Van Helsing.¿Podríamos considerar Drácula, de Bram Stoker, como un elemento de propaganda patriarcal? ¿Cuál es el objetivo tras la manipulación de Mina Harker en la novela? Respecto a la primera pregunta, en este proyecto se pretende tractar Drácula como un elemento de propaganda patriarcal el cual presenta una forma de feminidad victoriana en consonancia con valores patriarcales. En cuanto a la segunda pregunta, en este TFG se propone que este nuevo modelo de identidad femenina victoriana es conseguido a través de la manipulación del personaje de Mina Harker, orquestada por el grupo de hombres liderado por el Profesor Van Helsin
