Acidbase Model Implementation for Interactive Simulator

Diplomová práce se zabývá implementací matematického modelu acidobazické rovnováhy krve a intesticia v jazyce Modelica. Tento model byl implementován pomocí dvou různých metod - přístupu založeného na přímém využití matematických rovnic popisujících model a přístupu založeného na využití předdefinovaných bloků z knihovny s názvem Chemical. Model byl dále rozšířen o základní regulační principy dýchání a vylučování ledvin. Dále byl implementován model, který k modelu původnímu přidává další kompártment reprezentující buněčnou hmotu. Práce srovnává přístupy k acidobazické rovnováze implementovaného modelu a modelu s názvem Physiomodel. Zároveň diskutuje možnosti dalšího využití implementovaného modelu pro interaktivní simulátor.The Diploma Thesis deals with an implementation of a mathematical model of blood-interstitial acid-base balance in Modelica language. The model is implemented using two methods - an equation-based approach using the mathematical equations directly and a component-based approach with the use of Chemical library. The model is extended by basic body regulation system in form of respiration and kidneys. There is also implemented an extended model with the addition of a cell compartment. The thesis compares the approach to the acid-base balance of the blood-interstitial model and more complex Physiomodel. It also discusses the possibilities of the usage of the implemented model for an interactive simulator

Special regulation of the consumer bankruptcy resolution

- 76 - 11.Summary in English The thesis deals with the special regulation of personal bankruptcy in the Czech Republic introduced lately by the Act No. 182/2006 Coll., on bankruptcy and its solutions (the Insolvency Act) (hereinafter the "InsA"). The author presents a short history of the regulations of personal bankruptcy in the Czech Republic along with the problems of the former law with regard to its application on natural persons (consumers), and defines the term bankruptcy as seen from the perspective of the consumers. With this respect also the evolution of the indebtedness of consumers is briefly analysed and compared with the indebtedness in other countries coming to the conclusion that the actual state of indebtedness of consumers in the Czech Republic is not serious yet, though its acceleration might be worrying. Hence, the new regulation on personal bankruptcy was more than needed. Further on, the author presents an analysis of the special form of bankruptcy solution designed especially for consumers and introduced by the InsA - namely the "Bankruptcy Discharge" (hereinafter the "Discharge"). The Discharge offers an honest debtor a way out of his debts ("fresh start"). A Bayesian estimate of the risk of tick-borne diseases

summary:The paper considers the problem of estimating the risk of a tick-borne disease in a given region. A large set of epidemiological data is evaluated, including the point pattern of collected cases, the population map and covariates, i.e. explanatory variables of geographical nature, obtained from GIS. The methodology covers the choice of those covariates which influence the risk of infection most. Generalized linear models are used and AIC criterion yields the decision. Further, an empirical Bayesian approach is used to estimate the parameters of the risk model. Statistical properties of the estimators are investigated. Finally, a comparison with earlier results is discussed from the point of view of statistical disease mapping
