For some decades, we have seen a real vogue of solitary speeches in theatre (monologues or soliloquies) by the displays of a character, speaking and telling stories, alone on stage. These long verbal flows are aimed at questioning the main principles of dramatic plays (uniqueness of the plot, orderly and finalized progression of the actions, the chronological development and the explicit causality of the deployment of actions). I therefore, in the first instance, will show how these texts are indeed true tales because the fable, close in this to fictional fiction, is no longer limited to the temporal progression strictly chronological. In a second step, I will show that the solitude of the character is not inevitably anti-dramatic because these monologues are very polyphonic in making many characters happen in view of the multiple characters. It a sign of process of romanization that the theater has been experiencing for several years
Lâavenir dira si les fondamentaux thĂ©oriques du Celted seront poursuivis ou modifiĂ©sThe aim of the communication is to analyze the specific features of the Sciences in Language over Metz and the developments since their creation. During this history, we can measure how multidisciplinary they are (linguistics, literature, didactics) and how their objects have evolved. It also appears that the Sciences in Language maintain an organic link with the journal Pratiques but are also at the origin of collections of international dimension. The future will say if the theoretical fundamentals of Celted will be continued or modified
This communication covers a discursive fact (speech acts) as it works in the dramatic texts. At first, I reformulate the general principles which define speech acts, then I remind what the main existing classifications of speech acts are. In the same part, I justify the interest in conducting an interactional treatment of speech acts for the study of dramatic texts. In the second part, I examine the ways verbalization of speech acts are done by the characters and their dialogic function in the interactional exchanges. This helps me to explain the semiotic functions of speech acts within fiction drama
As an introduction, we recall the theater as a true âmagnifying mirrorâ of human interactions which sets, regardless of dramatic genres, characters who practice lying in various forms (fakes, frauds, tricks, cover-ups...). It is important since it is the subject of the first part of the article to agree on the definition of lies and falsehood as "an irreducibly ethical dimension". Since we consider an approach of the notion of lies from a linguistic perspective, we try, in the second part, to define the lie from a pragmatic point of view. To do so, on the one hand we mainly use the theory of speechesâ acts, and on the other hand we use the âPrinciple of Cooperationâ. In the third part, we try to describe the different interactional lying strategies used by characters of KoltĂšs to achieve their actional purposes. In conclusion, we show that KoltĂšs tries to disobey the fictional agreement (the âlie-truthâ of Aragon) and thus stops the theatrical illusion using methods of distance
Assessing the geometric diversity of cytochrome P450 ligand conformers by hierarchical clustering with a stop criterion.
International audienceAn algorithm is presented, which exhibits a computed number of rigid conformers of an input small molecule, covering the geometric diversity in the conformational space, with minimal structural redundancy. The algorithm calls a conformer generator, then performs an agglomerative hierarchical clustering with the modified clustering gain as the stop criterion. The number of classes is computed without an arbitrary parameter. A representative conformer is selected in each class, and nonrepresentative conformers are discarded. For illustration, the algorithm has been applied on a database containing 70 ligands of the cytochrome CYP 3A4, showing that the structural flexibility of each ligand is indeed handled via a small number of its representative conformers. The method is valid for all small molecules
The purpose of this article is to trace the historical changes that have taken place in college theater education, both in form and content. This is done primarily through official texts and textbooks, while examining both the authors and works selected and the reading and writing activities offered. To illustrate the point, we are particularly interested in the schooling of MoliĂšre's works
The purpose of this article is to make a narrative and cultural analysis of the novel by Michel Tournier, Vendredi ou la vie sauvage (1971). It is a rewriting of his adult version, Vendredi ou les limbes du Pacifique (1967) which is one of the hundreds of intertextual reworkings of Daniel Defoe's novel Robinson Crusoe (1719). In the first part, I study the logical organization of the plot in the form of a combination of different sequences and a particular chronotopical organization. To do this, I use textual studies, in particular to account for temporality and spatiality, essential components of any fiction. I also rely on narratological work to to show that M. Tournier respects the laws of the genre characteristic of robinsonnades while diverting them by engaging in a critical rewriting of the original novel. In the three following parts, I adopt a point of view that is more cultural than narrative. This is how I show that Robinson, for being alone and far from his country of origin, is deeply civilized in the Eliasian sense of the term and uses this acculturation to face the situation. news in which he finds himself placed. In another part, I analyze the modalities - forms and contents - of the cultural antagonism between Robinson and Friday. I do this by relying in particular on the theorization of the relationship between Nature and Culture that we owe to the anthropologist Philippe Descola. Finally, in a last part, I wonder about the issues of this cultural conflict narratively exposed by Mr. Tournier. We see that, like the hero of D. Defoe, Robinson initially imposed his cultural model on Friday but then, he renounces his cultural ethnocentrism and assimilates to Friday
