High Resolution Valley Spectroscopy of Si Quantum Dots

We study an accumulation mode Si/SiGe double quantum dot (DQD) containing a single electron that is dipole coupled to microwave photons in a superconducting cavity. Measurements of the cavity transmission reveal dispersive features due to the DQD valley states in Si. The occupation of the valley states can be increased by raising temperature or applying a finite source-drain bias across the DQD, resulting in an increased signal. Using cavity input-output theory and a four-level model of the DQD, it is possible to efficiently extract valley splittings and the inter- and intra-valley tunnel couplings

Quelles stratégies didactiques est-il possible de développer pour l'acquisition de méthodes en sciences expérimentales, dans une perspective constructiviste? Une récente recherche de l'INRP s'est proposée d'expérimenter des situations de classe répondant à cette préoccupation. Les situations produites, bien qu'apparentées dans leur perspective générale, misant toutes sur l'apport d'une réflexion distanciée des élèves, se sont révélées très diverses dans leur conception et les dispositifs mis en place. Electron Flow in Circular n-p Junctions of Bilayer Graphene

We present a theoretical study of electron wave functions in ballistic circular n-p junctions of bilayer graphene. Similarly to the case of a circular n-p junction of monolayer graphene, we find that (i) the wave functions form caustics inside the circular region, and (ii) the shape of these caustics are well described by a geometrical optics model using the concept of a negative refractive index. In contrast to the monolayer case, we show that the strong focusing effect is absent in the bilayer. We explain these findings in terms of the angular dependence of Klein tunneling at a planar n-p junction.Comment: Published version 6 pages, 5 figure

Par leur caractère synoptique, les outils graphiques sont susceptibles de constituer des instruments privilégiés de distanciation par rapport aux démarches intellectuelles : ils permettent de se représenter une succession d'opérations comme un tout organisé et de repérer en cours d'action chaque phase séquentielle par rapport à un ensemble qui lui donne sens. C'est dans cette perspective que des enseignants proposent à leurs élèves de construire des outils graphiques pour anticiper une démarche expérimentale avant de la réaliser effectivement. L'examen de tels outils produits par des élèves dans une séquence de classe sur l'identification d'ions dans une solution montre que les outils graphiques, en tant qu'instruments économiques, solidarisent différents aspects de la tâche à réaliser. Risques, dérives, faisabilités du travail d’obstacles en didactique

Plutôt qu'un exposé sur des résultats de recherche, nous aimerions proposer ici une réflexion épistémologique que la pratique d'une activité de recherche nous a conduites à mener. Notre recherche pose le problème des dissonances entre les constructions théoriques de départ et les mises en oeuvre réelles en classe. Comment interpréter ces dissonances, quel statut leur donner, quelles conclusions en tirer par rapport à la recherche ? C'est autour de cet ensemble de problèmes que nous présentons ici quelques éléments de réflexion.Rather than an expose of research results, we would here like to propose an epistemological reflection which the exercice of research activity bas lead us to, follow. Our research lays out the problem of the discrepancy between original theoretical constructions and their concrete day to day application in the classroom. The Legislation of the Right for Protection of Personal Data and the Right to Disclosure of Information of Pablic Interest in Hungary

В статті розглядаються обставини, що спонукали до еволюції у врегулюваннях питань щодо захисту даних, свободи інформації, та обставини, які спонукали до формування Омбудсменського інституту. Конституція, прийнята після змін у 1989 р., визначила право на захист персональних даних і свободи інформації, як конституційне право. Але минуло три роки, перш ніж був затверджений відповідний Статут, і ще три роки перш ніж було створено парламентську комісію, яка повинна була забезпечувати дотримання цього конституційного права. Хоча робота з підготовки законопроекту про свободу інформації; почалася в середні 80-х років, остаточно закон було прийнято лише в 1992 р., після чого Парламентська комісія приступила до виконання своїх обов’язків. Ключові слова: захист даних, закон про свободу інформації, кодифікація роботи, ратифікація, конвенція, директива, інтеграція критеріїв, омбудсмен, контролер даних.В статье рассматриваются обстоятельства, которые привели к эволюции в вопросах касающихся защиты данных, а также обстоятельства предшествующие формированию Омбудсменского управления. Конституция, принятая после изменений в 1989 году, определяет право защиты персональных данных и свободы информации, как Конституционное право. После этого пройдет три года, прежде чем соответствующий Устав будет утвержден, и еще три года, прежде чем будет создана парламентская комиссия, задача которой контролировать исполнение этого конституционного права. Хотя работа над данным законопроектом началась в середине 1980-х, принят он был 1992 г., после чего, парламентская комиссия приступила к своим обязанностям. Ключевые слова: защита данных, закон о свободе информации, кодификация работы, ратификация, конвенция, директива, интеграция критериев, омбудсмен, контролер данных.In the article examined the circumstances that led to the evolution in the settlement of issues concerning data protection, and the circumstances of the formation of the Ombudsman's Office. The Constitution enacted after the change of regime in 1989 guaranteed the right to protection of personal data and freedom of information as a constitutional right. After that, three years were to pass before the relevant statute was enacted and three further years before the Parliamentary Commissioners who were to supervise the enforcement of this constitutional right would be confirmed in their positions. Although the process for preparation of the Act started in the mid 1980s, he was only promulgated in 1992, then Parliamentary Commission to commence his duties.
