A General Overview

This paper is a brief survey on the concept of paribhāṣā throughout the whole Indian textual tradition. The contribute displays in a general way what is well developed by other articles of the volume. The most striking feature of this overview is that it highlights some issues concerning the translation of the word paribhāṣā as well as the general definitions formulated across Indian literary history. Possible alternative translations of the term paribhāṣā, from the history of ideas’ perspective, are as follows: meta-rule, hermeneutic rule, interpretative rule. The paper hints at the very core of the problem, namely the multi-tasking function of the paribhāṣā

Fenomeni di fondamentalismo all'interno di una religione considerata come sistema complesso

1) The paper takes into consideration some religious and political phenomena labelled as examples of fundamentalism in the domain of Hinduism. Hinduism itself is best described as a (religious) complex system, according to some recent definition of this particular taxonomical and hermeneutical tipology. 2) The particular phenomenon taken into consideration is a sort of conscious and deliberate rewriting of historical textbooks in the light of a political objective, i.e. the revisionism of well grounded facts and hypotheses about ancient Indian history (e.g. the Indo-aryan migration theory). These facts and hypotheses are replaced by new ones (“Out of India” theory), often not so well grounded from the historical, archeological, linguistical point of view. 3) A specific field study is analyzed, being the recent denigratory campaign against Michael Witzel (Harvard University), built up for political reasons by some fundamentalist groups of the Hindu diaspora in the USA

Análisis de los efectos ambientales de la generación de energía undimotriz en el puerto Quequén, provincia de Buenos Aires, República Argentina

Desde hace dos siglos se produce una vertiginosa utilización de los recursos energéticos no renovables, es por ello que varios países se están volcando hacia tecnologías que hagan uso de las energías alternativas sustentables para la generación de energía eléctrica, siendo éstas objeto de estudio y experimentación. No obstante los beneficios que otorgan estas energías, es necesario estudiar y analizar los impactos ambientales potenciales, tanto positivos como negativos, producto de la instalación y operación de los dispositivos que las generan. El presente artículo aborda la identificación y ponderación de los impactos ambientales potenciales que podrían producirse por la instalación de un dispositivo electromecánico capaz de aprovechar la energía undimotriz (proveniente de las ondas de mar) en la escollera sur del puerto Quequén, provincia de Buenos Aires.For two centuries there was an intense use of non-renewable energy resources that is the reason which several countries are turning to technologies that make use of sustainable alternative energy for power generation, these being the subject of study and experimentation. However the benefits granted by these energies, it is necessary to study and analyze the potential environmental impacts, both positive and negative, resulting from the installation and operation of the devices that generate them.
