Objective: Plants are the richest source of bioactive compounds and they have been used as medicine also. Chlorophyllin (CHL) is water-soluble derivative of chlorophyll (chl) in which magnesium has been replaced with copper and the phytol chains lost. Chlorophyllin has been used by human population for over 50 y for medicinal purposes with no adverse effects. Chlorophyllin is a promising chemo preventive agent to block cancer primarily by inhibiting carcinogen such as AFB1. The objective was to extract the bioactive pigment chlorophyllin from medicinal plants and to study its anticarcinogenic property on liver cell lines. Methods: In the present study the bioactive pigment, chlorophyllin was extracted and estimated from six medicinal plant leaves and characterized by IR and NMR. Further, based on the high chlorophyllin content (12.21µg/ml), Solanum trilobatum L. was selected for the study of anticarcinogenic property against two types of cell lines: HepG2 cell lines (Human Hepatocellular Carcinoma) and Vero cell lines (African Green Monkey kidney). Results: It was found that the inhibitory effect of chlorophyllin was found on cancer cell lines (IC50 value at 48H was 62.5μg/ml) and absent on Vero cell lines. Standard chlorophyllin was used as control for all the studies. Conclusion: This is the first report on the effect of natural chlorophyllin from the leaves of Solanum trilobatum L. on HepG2 cell lines. The in vitro data suggests that the consumption of the leaves of Solanum trilobatum L. or as chlorophyllin may impart anticancer effects.Â

Multi – Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) methods is a one of the subfields of operation research. Applying a MCDM problem and getting an optimization result based on ranking type, it is easy to make a perfect decision. A decision maker considers many numbers of input criteria in particular area. In this paper, study of the LNYP (average weighting) method to evaluate the weighting for input criteria and considering the weighting as equal for present criteria. Applying the LNYP- Combinative Distance-based Assessment (CODAS) method to select a truck for company. Finally, decision maker got a better decision for selecting the best truck for busines

Nowadays the world is undergoing a dramatic transformation from isolated systems to ubiquitous Internet-enabled things referred to as the Internet of Things (IoT) this new reality will enrich everyday life and changes everything including ourselves which enhance the productivity, saves the energy and so on. The primary purpose of this paper is to discuss about how the Internet of Things are used in various possible scenarios and how it helps us to improve efficiency, accuracy and economic benefit

Developing a Decision Support Testing Algorithm to Detect Severity Level of Dengue

Dengue is a vector borne disease that has become a global threat. In order to reduce the mortality rate early detection of dengue severity level is crucial. This study is an extension of the decision models developed individually for inflammatory mediators and immune parameters. The objective of this study is to improve the individual models by considering their combined effect and to improve the decision making at 96 hours from onset of illness. In order to combine these, three approaches are attempted including, combining together the individual full models on inflammatory mediators and immune parameters, combining the immune parameters based model with decision tree informed cytokines and implementing a decision tree informed model with immune parameters and inflammatory mediators. The decision tree algorithm that is used in model development is Improved ID3 algorithm. The decision tree based model is a two-step decision system with the initial decision being made using the parameters TNF-?, IL-10, dengue NS1 antigen and dengue IgG antibody and, the operator values above 0.4413, are then subjected to the second test including platelet and Platelet Activating Factor. The decision tree based model performed well with an accuracy of 76.19% and 82.3% of DHF patients were correctly classified. Sensitivity analysis indicated the model to be robust

Data security is, protecting data from ill- conceived get to, utilize, introduction, intrusion, change, examination, recording or destruction. Cloud computing is a sort of Internet-based computing that grants conjoint PC handling resources and information to PCs what's more, different gadgets according to necessity. It is a model that empowers universal, on-request access to a mutual pool of configurable computing resources. At present, security has been viewed as one of the best issues in the improvement of Cloud Computing. The key issue in effective execution of Cloud Computing is to adequately deal with the security in the cloud applications. This paper talks about the part of cryptography in cloud computing to improve the data security. The expectation here is to get bits of knowledge another security approach with the usage of cryptography to secure information at cloud data centers

Image Enhancement by Histogram Specification Using Multiple Target Images

    Get PDF
Shape and characteristics of the histogram plays a major role in finding the quality of an image. Histogram Specification is an image enhancement technique, where the histogram of the input image is transformed to a pre-specified histogram derived from a high resolution image, called target image. In this paper, the classical histogram specification technique is extended by using a target image which is obtained by fusing multiple high resolution images. A set of Quality Metrics were identified to assess the quality of the output enhanced image. The paper addresses the following issues: a) Effect of varying the number of target images on the quality of the output enhanced image b) Role of using different methods of fusion on the quality of the output enhanced image c) Category of the target image on the quality of the output enhanced image. If the input image is from a forest, whether in order to obtain an enhanced image, all target images has to be selected from the forest category d) Effect of preprocessing of target image on the quality of the output enhanced image

Enhancement of Aerial and Medical Image using Multi resolution pyramid

Image enhancement has been an area of active research for decades. Most of the studies are aimed at improving the quality of image for better visualization. An approach for contrast enhancement utilizing multi-scale analysis is introduced. To show the effects of image enhancement, quantitative measures should be introduced. In this paper, we examine the effect of global and local enhancement using multi resolution pyramids. We identify a set of quality metric parameters for comparative performance analysis and use it to assess the enhanced output image for a number of image enhancement algorithms using pyramid

Pseudo-Meigs syndrome: a rare presentation of pedunculated fibroid

Serosal fibroid of uterus are usually asymptomatic but rarely; it may present with atypical symptoms to simulate malignancy and needs extensive evaluation. Authors are reporting a case of 26 years old P1L1 female with history of asymptomatic multiple intramural fibroids since 6 years came with complained of progressively increasing abdominal distension and mild pain abdomen from 2-3 months. On evaluation, she had ascites, pleural effusion and raised Ca-125. MR imaging of pelvis revealed moderate ascites and pedunculated serosal fibroid in addition to intramural fibroids with normal bilateral ovaries. She was evaluated to rule out uterine sarcoma and tuberculosis but diagnosis of them could not be established. Finally, conclusion of Pseudo-Meigs syndrome was made. Myomectomy of single pedunculated fibroid relieved her symptoms. Though, subserosal fibroids are benign in pathology, timely surgery is must to avoid morbidity and mortality owing to massive ascites and pleural effusion

NATURAL PRODUCTS AS AN IMPORTANT LEADS FOR DISCOVERY OF NEW ANTITUBERCULAR AGENTS: A REVIEW

There is a very much need for a discovery of new molecules a potent molecule that can cure tuberculosis and prevent the recurrence. A multidisciplinary approach is required to procure a potent bioactive compound and this includes expertise in the fields of ethnobotany, ethnopharmacology and Phytochemistry. The present communication acts as a bioprospecting source for the drug discovery against tuberculosis, including several anti tubercular agents which is used by used by tribal people and prescribed by THPS which showed a good inhibition rate. Therefore, this review strives to describe the literature on the traditional plants/potent molecules those have been proved to have antimicrobial activity and to provide essential discussion and accelerate the research.Â
